Personality

Loyal to his gang, Chifuyu always does his best for Toman. For the sake of his gang, he has rendered so many services, even if those included endangering his own life.
Chifuyu wears very calm and warm expressions. He likes to think with his brain instead of his heart. So, he’s a very logical person. Although he can break down when the situation calls for it, yet he likes to keep everything (his emotions) balanced.
Whether he gets beaten up by his friends or for his friend’s sake, he still prefers to stick by them. Chifuyu is the type of person who tends to throw himself in dangerous situations without fearing anyone. He doesn’t even shy away from helping others. One example of this was during Baji’s initiation to Valhalla. Even he was beaten to a pulp, he never thought of getting revenge on Baji, but instead, he saw right through him and came to the conclusion that Baji was targeting Kisaki (Chapter 45).

Being the best friend of Takemichi, he’s always advising him. They both make plans before taking any action. He’s composed even in the most dangerous situations. Even though he acts competent and level-headed yet sometimes he makes decisions impulsively, which results in unfortunate events. At some point, when both of them were at death’s door after Kisaki captured them, Chifuyu made sure to cheer Takemichi up and never leave his side (Chapter 73).
Even though he hates those people who take advantage of their powers, yet he used to be like that in middle school. But slowly, he changed and becomes compassionate.
Strengths and Skills

Fighting Prowess
Chifuyu’s fighting prowess is better than your average delinquent. Despite having so much strength and stamina, Chifuyu never acted mighty. As a middle-schooler, he was able to conquer the whole school! He defeated every student who challenged him, even his upperclassmen (Chapter 67).
During the confrontation against the Black Dragons on Christmas, Chifuyu gave Hanma a lot of trouble before Hanma eventually tied him up (Chapter 94). This proves that his fighting abilities are not to be looked down upon as even Draken couldn’t knock out Hanma, no matter how many times he landed a hit.
Even in the fight against Tenjiku, he was able to keep up with Mochi for a short amount of time, despite the difference in their attack powers. Mochi is one of the Four Heavenly Kings while Chifuyu is just a Vice-Captain, but somehow Chifuyu managed to keep him busy (Chapter 160).

Endurance and Determination
Just like Takemichi, Chifuyu can endure a lot of hits before he goes down and when paired up with his unyielding determination, he can keep going even when he’s bloodied and bruised.
Although he doesn’t have the same level of willpower as Takemichi, he’s undoubtedly close to his level. Even when he was tied up by Hanma and Kisaki, he still managed to escape and join the fight against the Black Dragons (Chapter 97). When all of the odds were stacked against them and the rest of Toman thought Takemichi was crazy, Chifuyu stood still and was willing to fight Tenjiku even if there were only two of them (Chapter 152). In the battle against Tenjiku, where it was 50 vs. 400, Chifuyu carried on fighting until he no longer had the strength to stand up.

Later that day, one of his friends told him about Baji. He walked up to Baji only out of curiosity and found out that he’s a delinquent but not a “point-dexter”, as he was reading and writing. Chifuyu left but came back again to help Baji to write a letter (Chapter 67).
At the end of the day, Chifuyu got surrounded by a bunch of bikers from the Mandala gang. They start fighting against him but he gets shocked by the number of members. However, after some time, Keisuke Baji shows up and helps him by declaring himself the captain of the Tokyo Manji Gang and Chifuyu’s friend (Chapter 67).

When they woke up, they were tied to two chairs, and Chifuyu was beaten up badly. Kisaki beats him up as he ratted out to the cops about Toman’s affairs.
