Emma Sano Wiki
As the Tokyo Revengers Series goes on, there are timelines where Mikey becomes evil and corrupted. Sometimes the reason Mikey and Toman turned to crime was because of Tetta Kisaki, but in other circumstances, it was because of the darkness slowly consuming Mikey.
Every time he loses someone he treasured, his moral compass slowly gets destroyed. Emma was one of the people that helped Mikey walk on the right path. This time, let’s talk about Mikey and Draken’s gem, Emma Sano.

Personality

Emma had different personalities when it came to dealing with each person she interacted with. When she and Takemichi talked, she showed little to no interest and only used him to make Draken jealous (Chapter 11, Episode 5). However, when Takemichi went to extreme lengths just to save Draken, Emma developed a respect for Takemichi and gave him moral support when he protected her, Hina, and Draken (Chapter 25, Episode 10).
When it came to Hina, she was very friendly with her and even went out of her way just to make Hina and Takemichi make up (Chapter 108). Hina and Emma also supported each other’s relationships (Chapter 66). While Emma was with Mikey, she was shown to be clingy and very sweet (Chapter 66). Emma was very loyal to Toman and Mikey, as well as looks up to Shinichiro, even developing his habits (Chapter 108).
Lastly, Emma became a whole other person when it came to Draken. Whenever she met Draken, she did everything just to take his attention even resorting to having romance with Takemichi (Chapter 9). When she received a gift from Draken on her birthday, she was the happiest she had ever been and when Draken went to the Sano household, she became very excited (Chapter 66, Chapter 136). Even her last words were for Mikey to tell Draken that she loved him very much (Chapter 148).
Strengths and Skills

Influence
As the half-sister of the president and founder of the Tokyo Manji Gang, Mikey, as well as the love interest of the vice-president, Draken, Emma had a significant influence on Toman but not as high as that of a Captain. Because Emma and Mikey grew up and are very close, Mikey would do anything just to protect her. Just like Mikey, Draken would even destroy an entire gang if they hurt or touched Emma. This was shown when Mikey and Draken were completely devastated when she died and Draken even beat Mikey for not protecting her (Chapter 148).

Past/History

Emma then asked when her mother will return but she simply replied that she’ll come back when she finishes everything she needs to do. While Shinichiro brought Emma to the dojo, she would meet Mikey and Baji. Mikey would make her smile for the first time since they met (Chapter 123).
Emma would also be left alone by her adopted older brother, Izana Kurokawa when he went to reform school. At this time, Izana and Emma were super close and Emma even wanted to go with Izana but he stopped her and promised to come back (Chapter 138).
Relationships (Family)

Shinichiro Sano
Shinichiro Sano was the eldest of the Sano siblings, the founder of the Black Dragons, and the leader of their 1st Generation, as well as the model of Izana, Emma, Mikey, and even Baji (Chapter 109).
Shinichiro met Emma when she first arrived in the Sano household (Chapter 123). Shinichiro was accidentally killed by Kazutora while Kazutora and Baji tried to steal his CB250T (Chapter 44-45).

Manjiro Sano
Manjiro Sano or Mikey is the founder and president of the Tokyo Manji Gang and Emma’s half-brother. He often had childish fights with Emma about little things such as the way she cooks eggs (Chapter 136). Mikey is a very strong fighter being able to knock out most of his opponents with 1 kick and can take punches that could kill a normal individual.

Izana Kurokawa
Izana Kurokawa was the 8th Generation Leader of the Black Dragons, the founder and president of Tenjiku, and the older adoptive brother of Emma. Izana accepted Kisaki’s suggestion of killing Emma (Chapter 147). Izana died at the hands of Kisaki after he saved Kakucho and jumped in front of the handgun’s barrel (Chapter 178).
Plot

Emma first appeared in Chapter 9 of the manga or Episode 5 in the Tokyo Revengers anime adaptation where she was in a booth with Takemichi. Takemichi would run off and join a Toman gathering where Emma appeared again and told Hina what happened with Takemichi but explained that she only wanted to make Draken jealous (Chapter 11, Episode 5).
Emma and Draken joined Takemichi and Hinata at a festival where Draken suddenly got ambushed by Peh-yan and Moebius (Chapter 18, Episode 8). Draken would get stabbed by Kiyomasa and Takemichi tried carrying Draken while Hina and Emma called an ambulance. The four of them were ambushed by Kiyomasa along with his hooligans. As Takemichi found his resolve, fought Kiyomasa, and knocked him out, Takemichi’s friends would arrive and fight the remaining members of Kiyomasa’s gang but would fail.
They were saved when the police and ambulance arrived as the traitors ran away and Draken was rushed to the hospital. The operation would prove to become a success and Toman came out victorious against Moebius (Chapter 24-28, Episode 10).
A misunderstanding arrived when Hinata and Takemichi thought Mikey and Emma were having a relationship behind Draken’s back. Later, the confusion was cleared up and Draken gave Emma a teddy bear for her birthday which made her happy (Chapter 66).
Emma also became instrumental in the fight against the Black Dragons when she ordered Mikey and Draken to find Takemichi so that he and Hina would make up (Chapter 108, Chapter 109). While Emma cooked breakfast for Mikey they would have a sibling argument and later on revealed that Izana is her older adoptive brother to Draken, Mikey, and Takemichi (Chapter 137).
Emma passed away when she was getting a drink with Takemichi after having an encounter with Izana. Kisaki and Hanma performed a hit-and-run and severely injured Emma. When Mikey carried Emma on his back to the hospital, they recounted childhood memories and with Emma’s last breath, she told Takemichi to take care of Mikey and for Mikey to tell Draken that she truly loves him (Chapter 148).
Voice Actress
Emma Sano’s voice actress on the Tokyo Revengers anime adaptation is Yumi Uchiyama who voiced several notable characters such as Arrow from Fire Force, Rudeus Greyrat from Mushoku Tensei, Ruri Miyamoto from Nisekoi, and Puck from Re: Zero.
Final Verdict
Emma was also another key to the plot of the Tokyo Revengers Series and an overlooked one at that. Emma’s death was not noticed by Takemichi until the last moment and failed to save her. Her death also caused the darkness within Mikey to grow bigger. Draken and Mikey’s gem was shattered by Izana and Kisaki. Will this prove to be Toman’s downfall or will Takemichi fight and make a better future?
