Kuroko no Basket is an anime that you shouldn’t watch if you like realism, as the characters in the anime come up with spectacular moves one after the other. In the real world, this happens rarely in a match.
Despite being very unrealistic and even defying the laws of physics on some occasions, it’s an anime that never gets boring. Every moment in the anime is filled with one kind of entertainment or the other. You could be indulged in its Adrenaline rushing action in one episode and the hilarious comedy in another.

The flashy dunks, blocks, and passes are the reason the fandom loves this anime so much. To top it off, it has a wide variety of interesting characters coupled with great comedy. Now, who wouldn’t want that?!

Aries (March 21 ~ April 20)
12. Kōsuke Wakamatsu:

Kosuke Wakamatsu is extroverted by every definition of the word. He isn’t afraid of taking on new challenges life throws at him, and he can be quite blunt at times. Needless to say, he has immense enthusiasm for basketball. He’s shown to get fired up and ready to play by just watching a match of Basketball. Being extremely passionate, it should come as no surprise that he loves to shout during the game, just like any other player.
However, as it is with most characters, Kosuke wasn’t perfect at the start of the series. He was quick to lose his temper, acted irrationally when consumed by passion and had a fairly huge ego. The anime doesn’t waste much time in fixing these traits as the story progresses, making him a very likable character by the end.
Taurus (April 21 ~ May 20)
11. Satsuki Momoi:
Birthday: May 4th
Sign:Taurus
Being extroverted, charming, and sometimes even flirty, she’s a fun character to watch! Most of the time, you can see her joking around and being the fun person she is. However, she also has an immense passion for Basketball, and it’s the one thing she doesn’t joke about.
Her expertise lies in analyzing and exploiting the opponent team. Trust me when I say this, Basketball is one thing she never jokes about. According to her, most men think in a line and predictable fashion, leaving them to be easy prey to her analysis.
The one-man she has a hard time analyzing is Kuroko. This makes her more curious about the man, and she eventually falls in love with the guy in pursuit of understanding him.
Gemini (May 21 ~ June 20)
10. Ryōta Kise:
Birthday: June 18th
Sign: Gemini
A Gemini tends to be really passionate about a thing or two, and it’s no surprise that Kise is head over heels for basketball.
He initially comes off as someone who doesn’t take anything seriously but in reality, this couldn’t be further from the truth as he’s shown to practice hard to surpass his limits as a basketball player.
Aside from being gifted in basketball, he’s also shown to excel at any sport he picks, which is why he got so bored of them. Basketball was the first thing that rid him of his boredom, hence the reason he fell in love with the game.
Like a lot of good basketball players, Kise’s arrogance was his weakness. He wouldn’t talk to anyone whose skill level he didn’t respect. Over time as the anime progresses, this gradually changes, and Kise starts working on his weaknesses as well.
Cancer (June 21 ~ July 22)
9. Shintarō Midorima:
Birthday: July 7th
Sign: Cancer
Cancer is a sign that’s known to be highly intuitive and rational. The character Midorima seems to be no exception to this case, as he’s cool, calm, and a highly focused individual.
He spares no time enjoying the game of basketball or playing it just for the sake of fun. Being highly competitive, his sole goal is to reserve his focus for the enemy team and completely overpower them.
Despite coming off as highly competitive and ruthless most of the time, Midorima has an empathic side as well. You can often see him give very good advice that is usually disguised as criticism
Leo (July 23 ~ August 22)
8. Taiga Kagami:

Up next, we have the furious Taiga Kagami. Ambition and stubbornness are his most prominent traits, as he’s shown to not give up even when the odds are against him by a huge margin.
It should come as no surprise that if he’s passionate, he’s also easily provoked, as short temper and ambition are traits that usually go hand in hand.
He’s one of those characters that get a good amount of development throughout the show. As the show progresses, he retains his ambition while developing a cool mind. This deathly combo sets him off to become a player like no other.
Virgo (August 23 ~ September 22)
7. Daiki Aomine:

Sign: Virgo
Ever been so good at something that you got bored because it just wasn’t challenging enough? Well, that’s what Basketball ball becomes to Aomine. He starts very passionate about the game and has fun playing it.
However, as time flies by he realizes that he’s able to defeat ALL his opponents with ease. This leads him to become very arrogant, making him another one of those characters that play only to destroy the opponent team, leaving fun out of the equation completely.
This wasn’t always the case with Aomine, as he was very protective and caring about his friends from junior high; his natural talent is what changed him as a character.
Libra (September 23 ~ October 22)
6. Atsushi Murasakibara:
Birthday: October 9th
Sign: Libra
Unlike most other characters on this list who openly admit their love for basketball, Atsushi is the one exception who doesn’t enjoy it at all.
He claims that the only reason he plays it is because he’s good at it, and he enjoys crushing his opponents. In fact, not only does he have no passion for basketball, but he’s also shown to hate players who play the game for the love of it.
According to Atsushi, there is no point in the game if you can’t crush your opponent. And being passionate about the game while losing is a waste of time.

This isn’t to say that he doesn’t try winning, but he certainly prioritizes the fun aspect of the game more. Now and then, you can see him trying to get his serious friends to have fun, so they could enjoy the splendor of life for a change.
He isn’t featured to be the most interesting character from the show. However, as I said before, he’s a breath of fresh air, and that alone makes his screen time well worth it.
Sagittarius (November 23 ~ December 21)
4. Seijūrō Akashi:
Birthday: December 20th
Sign: Sagittarius
Akahi is one of those characters that tread on the borderline of arrogance. We get to witness how he takes immense pride in his ability to win, yet he’s aware of how important his teammates are when it comes to victory.
As a leader, he doesn’t let his pride delude him into thinking he can win alone. It’s one of the reasons he’s such an efficient player and an effective leader.
Akashi has never tasted defeat; he’s grown up thinking that winners take it all and losers don’t get anything. Needless to say, he’s also very intelligent as he knows he can’t win alone since basketball is a team game. Devising tactics and effective teamwork are two things he holds above all in his matches.
Capricorn (December 22 ~ January 19)
3. Masako Araki:

Sign: Capricorn
Up next, we have the second female on the list, and it’s none other than the mature and beautiful coach Masako Araki. It’s worth mentioning that for someone who’s 33 years old, she looks like a teenager, as she managed to retain so much of her beauty from her teen years.
As a coach, she’s not just the eye candy for the boys. Her ability to quickly analyze and devise a strategy on the spot is something not to be reckoned with. She also trusts her teammates; a deep connection with all the players gives the player’s morale a significant boost.

It’s the man himself, Tetsuya Kuroko! Straightforward and hardworking seem to be the two best terms that describe his character. He’s also extremely fair when he’s playing basketball, likes to enjoy the game, and tries his best to win as well.
The only time he’ll resort to unfair means is when his friends are injured intentionally by the opposing team. Being the caring person Kuroko is, he takes this as a declaration of war.
One of his cute traits that’s worth mentioning is that when it comes to women, he becomes quite the gentleman. He’s also a very calm person who doesn’t lose his temper very quickly. And rationality is something that tags along with his calmness. He’s one of those characters that everyone in the audience would enjoy.

The last character on our list is Tomoki Tsugawa. Just like most characters on this list, Tsugawa loves to play Basketball. His passion for the game kindles his desire to work hard and defeat stronger opponents.
According to Tsugawa, basketball is more fun when you’re against an opponent stronger than you. In other words, he loves being the underdog who would do the unexpected.
If I had to say it, a bad trait of Tsugawa would be that he doesn’t think before he speaks. It’s the reason he has said stupid things and hurt people unintentionally, quite a few times.
