Superstar!! is a story about teenage schoolgirls who love music and are known as school idols. Their extracurricular activities include dancing, singing, and writing songs. Main Characters
Natsumi Onitsuka
When it comes to her personality, she’s energetic and cheerful. But she also has some red flags. For instance, she’s greedy and selfish about money. She is willing to do anything when it comes to money-making.
Kinako Sakurakoji
Kinako Sakurakoji is also one of the main characters in this anime who’s a new member of the Liella band. Her image color is yellow. She was transferred to Yuigaoka from a remote place in Hokkaido. (Love Live! Superstar!! Season 2: Episode 1) She always thought highly of the school idols and thought that they were pretty. But the thing is that she never thought of becoming a school idol herself. However, after seeing Liella band dazzling on the stage, she wanted to become one. Kinako Sakurakoji isn’t a very fit girl, her grades at school are average. She loves animals and claims that she knows what they’re thinking.
Ren Hazuki
Ren Hazuki is also one of the main characters and a member of the Liella band. Her image color is sapphire. When it comes to her personality, she’s kind and polite to everyone. Ren doesn’t really know how to keep up with conversations, and she has been told to not spend too much time online. She’s also very shy in front of the camera and tends to mess up sometimes. Overall, she’s a disciplined girl who is great at managing her time. She tries her best to give equal time to her studies and the band. She also has a lot of hobbies like calligraphy art, English, ballet, and swimming as well. So, her talents are second to none. On top of all these skills, she’s practicing to become an idol. How impressive is that?
Shiki Wakana
Shiki Wakana is also a member in Liella, whose color image is ice green white. She’s definitely one of the most fun-loving characters in the anime who are fond of loud places. She adores Mei, as well as beetles and butterflies. If you look at her, you won’t be able to tell that she has such a wild taste when it comes to hanging out since she’s quiet mostly. Shiki Wakana is observative, she can easily tell whenever someone’s looking at her.
Shiki and Mei have been friends for a long time. Ever since they were in middle school, they became friends. Basically, in middle school, these two girls were known as loners. That’s how they decided to become best friends. Both characters were really shy back in the day. However, Shiki’s personality is really nice. She’s calm and gentle and highly supportive of her friends.
Kanon Shibuya
Kanon Shibuya is known as the primary protagonist in this anime. She’s the founder and the leader of the Liella idol group. Her image color is marigold. Kanon is a shy and honest girl who openly admits that she’s not good at communication. Whenever she’s walking somewhere in town, she tends to listen to music on her headphones and sing along. Despite the fact that she wants to sing in front of a lot of people yet, she’s nervous about doing so. She never really had any chance to pursue this until Kanon found out that school idol is a way of pursuing these things. So, she decided to form an idol group.
Mei Yoneme
Mei Yoneme is also one of the school idols with a rouge image color. She’s very shy and doesn’t like it when people say bad things about her. She and Shiki have been friends since middle school. Supporting Characters
Hana Hazuki
Hana Hazuki is one of the supporting characters who’s a student of a music academy. She’s buoyant and warm. She was a school idol in her school days along with her friend who became the future director of the school. Later on, Hana got married and had a kid named Ren Hazuki.
Mao Hiiragi
Mao Hiiragi is also one of the supporting characters who is the founder of Sunny Passion. She’s known to be calm and composed all the time. She doesn’t talk much but treats everyone with kindness.
Wien Margarte
Yuna Hijirisawa
Yuna Hijirisawa is the co-founder of the band Sunny Passion. She’s cheerful, down-to-earth, and talkative. She’s the type of person who saves her favorite things for the very last moments. Isn’t that super kawaii?
