How To Watch Shingeki no Kyojin!
What is Attack On Titan?

Genre: Horror, Psychological, Drama
Well my beautiful weeb Attack On Titan or Shingeki no Kyojin is not just “one of” but THE masterpiece that pushed anime to the face of the world. It follows the story of Eren Yaeger, a kid who lived in a place called Paradis Island. This ain’t no tropical island with wonderful beaches like Hawaii instead, Eren lives in a place surrounded by hundred meter walls. Now I think you might be wondering, why are they imprisoned? Well, it’s not to keep them in but it’s to keep those THINGS out!
There are huge humanoid monsters known as Titans that eat humans not for food, but they just feel happy chewing on you while you scream for mercy. They’ll chase you like that dog that you messed around with when you were a kid. Eren manages to live a somewhat normal life inside the walls with Mikasa and Armin, his two closest friends. All was sunshine and rainbows until one day, a Colossal Titan, taller than the walls appeared out of nowhere and destroyed the only thing that held back the bloody catastrophe that awaited them. Anime Series (TV)
Attack On Titan Season 1

Year Released: 2013
The first season of Attack On Titan started airing in the Spring anime season of 2013. It narrates the beginning of the story of Attack on Titan. I love you my beautiful otakus so I won’t get into much detail with the plot. One thing I’d like to point out is that the 1st episode will get you immediately hooked! Wit Studio did an amazing job and it was definitely ahead of its time in terms of animation. It adapts Volume 1-8 of the manga.
You must start watching here, otherwise, it’s like you’ve just put coffee on cold water without stirring it. You gotta heat it up and let it mix into that lovely drink brotha!
Attack On Titan Season 2

Year Released: 2017
The second season of Attack On Titan premiered in the Spring anime season of 2017. Obviously it continues where the first season left off and if it was coffee then this will be that DELICIOUS peanut butter and jelly sandwich with that crispy toast. Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2 adapts the Volume 9-12 of the Manga by Hajime Isayama.
Attack On Titan Season 3 Part 1

Year Released: 2018
The third season of Shingeki no Kyojin aired in Summer 2018. I thought it was gonna be Spring again but I guess they just decided it was to be Summer, it would’ve been cool if everything was released in Spring. It’s just like Your Lie in April, full of surprises and some amazing music.
It’s been the basic trend of the industry to divide a series’ season into 2 parts. Let’s just hope that it doesn’t turn into “That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Dog And Went On To Be A Saint Season 4 Part 1 out of 22”. Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2 was adapted from Volume 13-17 of the Manga.
Attack On Titan Season 3 Part 2

Year Released: 2019
Who would’ve guessed that there would be a part 2 if there was a part 1, eh? Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2 aired a year after Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 1 and guess what? We’re back in Spring. This time it was adapted from Volume 18-22. Let’s just say you can call this part of the series, Titan Man: Homecoming. You may also find out more to watch on our Attack on Titan OAD filler list guide!
Attack On Titan Final Season Part 1

Year Released: 2020
Attack On Titan has so much sigma male energy that they split the Final Season into two parts. The rest of Attack on Titan was animated by Wit Studio but this time it was by MAPPA. There were a lot of debates regarding the animation of the Final Season but man oh man, it looks like a real beauty. I would get married to Attack On Titan. Spring began, then Summer arrived, we skipped Fall, went back to Spring, then just blasted our way to Winter season 2021.
The Final Season really hit hard and let me tell you, MAPPA delivered. We asked for the smoke and they delivered. Misaka just got more beautiful and my goodness, Levi my boy is TOO HOT!
Attack On Titan Final Season Part 2

Year Released: 2022
The conclusion, the climax, the finale, the beginning of the end is nigh! As the series reaches its final episode, I’m gonna be that guy on the street with the sign screaming “It’s the end of the world!” because Attack on Titan is my world, boys and girls. My lovely cultured anime enthusiasts, we have reached the pinnacle of a masterpiece. And with that, the Attack on Titan anime TV series closes its curtains on the stage. Are you curious what happened to this part? If yes, you might want to read Eren’s “The Rumbling”.
Attack On Titan Final Season Part 3

Year Released: 2023
This is the continuation of the events that took place from the previous season and will cover the last few chapters from the manga. It will be divided into 2 broadcasts. The first part will be released on March 4, 2023 and the first episode will have a 1-hour special broadcast. The second part will be released on a later date of 2023.
Movies (TV)
ANIME
Attack On Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow

Year Released: 2014
Well, it can’t be a popular series without a movie that recaps what just happened at each episode. Just look at Evangelion they made four new movies but at least they were crazy enough to change parts of the story. Attack on Titan fans don’t need any more maniacs, Hajime Isayama is already one hellish psychopath. It recaps the story of Episode 1-13 of the first season.
Attack On Titan: Crimson Wings of Freedom

Year Released: 2015
Similar to Crimson Bow and Arrow, Wings of Freedom is a recap movie. It’s the movie next in line to Crimson Bow and Arrow and recaps Episodes 14-25 of the first season. Nothing too fancy here folks.
Attack On Titan: Roar of Awakening

Year Released: 2018
Attack on Titan: Roar of Awakening retells the story of the anime adaptation from episode 26, all the way to episode 37. I guess people just love putting everything into movies. Maybe it’s better, this way you truly binge until you get to heaven.
Attack On Titan: Chronicle

Year Released: 2020
The directors said “freak it! What if we just recap the series again but put it all into 1 movie!” and then everyone clapped. Chronicle literally recaps the entire 3 seasons of Attack on Titan. How many times do we need to recap a series, Japan? Maybe next time they’ll make a movie and recap all of One Piece, now that I would watch.
Live-Action
Attack On Titan Movie: Part 1

Year Released: 2015
Oh lord she comin’! We all know sooner or later a live-action adaptation of Attack On Titan would arrive. Let’s just say it’s ehemmmm…You don’t actually need to watch the live-action movies as they completely deviate from the original storyline and are not as good as you’d expect. But if you’re a crazy person who likes to watch these kinds of movies , then go ahead psychopath.
Attack On Titan Movie: Part 2

Year Released: 2015
Well what did you know? They had the balls to make part 2. And let’s say it isn’t better than the first one. But hey, if you’re that same psychopath that watched the first one, why not just go all out and watch this so you’ll become a serial killer. I’m just kidding, if you love live-action anime adaptations, I respect that. I love you, my child.
OVAs
Ilse’s Notebook: Notes From A Scout Regiment Member

Year Released: 2013
Ilse’s Notebook: Notes from a Scout Regiment Member is one of the first OVAs of the series. It tells the story about Ilse Langnar and her fateful meeting with a talking titan. This is an interesting episode as it gives more insight into why Hange Zoe is looking deep into information about the titans.
A Sudden Visitor: The Torturous Curse of Adolescence

Year Released: 2014
A Sudden Visitor: The Torturous Curse of Adolescence is a fun OVA where Jean and Sasha have a cook-off. This was decided by a smashed Pyxis after the two got into a fight. It’s just a no-brainer fun episode if you want to take a break from all the gore.
Distress

Year Released: 2014
The plot of Distress follows Eren and the other cadets on a training exercise. Out of nowhere, thugs appear, steal their gear, and kidnap Christa. Like the merry band they are, they try to rescue Christa, but where did those guys come from? Watch this episode to find out.
A Choice With No Regrets: Part One

Year Released: 2014
Why does Attack on Titan like to divide things into parts? Who was the guy responsible? He should get cancelled. They even divide OVAs into parts. A Choice With No Regrets talks about the backstory of one of the most popular characters in the series, Levi Ackerman.
A Choice With No Regrets: Part Two

Year Released: 2015
Okay, I admit it. A Choice With No Regrets really needs a Part Two. Don’t cancel the guy, give him a promotion! Attack on Titan is one of the few series where the OVAs are actually really good. Part two, of course, continues where Part one left off.
Wall Sina, Goodbye: Part One

Year Released: 2017
Wall Sina, Goodbye is also like A Choice with No Regrets, this OVA deserves two parts! We get to see the series through the eyes of one of the more mysterious characters, Annie Leonheart. It gives you more insight on the behind-the-scenes action within Paradis Island.
Wall Sina, Goodbye: Part Two

Year Released: 2018
Now we have Part Two. It continues where Wall Sina, Goodbye: Part One ended and my gosh was it worth it watching these two OVAs. You ain’t no Attack on Titan fan if you skip these OVAs. They’re literally to die for!
Lost In The Cruel World

Year Released: 2018
Lost in the Cruel World is something a bit different from the other OVAs. It’s not a no-brainer, happy-go-lucky episode and nor is it an emotional backstory. Lost in the Cruel World tells the story of Mikasa Ackerman where she experiences a parallel reality with differences that’ll destroy her own moral emotions.
Spin-Offs / Parodies
Chibi Theater: Fly, Cadets, Fly!

Year Released: 2013
If you were emotionally scarred by the story created by the psychopath known as Hajime Isayama. Chibi Theater, if you didn’t already guess, is where all the characters are in Chibi form. It’s just to make you less depressed after watching Attack on Titan and crying yourself to sleep.
Attack On Titan: Junior High

Year Released: 2015
Imagine Attack on Titan but if its a slice of life anime series. It’s basically Isekai Quartet but the titans steal your lunch. Eren isn’t always yelling, people aren’t getting eaten, and we now have a school! Like a normal school, not a military one. Again, if you want a break from all the gore, you can try watching this instead! If you love this spin-off, you might also want to check our Attack on Titan Junior High filler list!
