Nobutaka Osanai Wiki (INFO) - Tokyo Revengers
The charismatic leader of the Moebius gang is one of the most proficient fighters we have seen in the show and his unconventional boxing style was definitely the final nail in the coffin for Pah-Chin. He was ultimately subdued by Mikey and Draken but that won’t take anything away from him and his gang of rebels, and in fact, we will take a look at his character in-depth to know more about him.

Personality
In his late teen years, Nobutaka was a charming and fascinating character which made other members of the Moebius gang follow him. He was far more sinister than he actually looked as he used his powers for his pleasures and went as far as attacking women and beating up their boyfriends. Although there was a strange aura around him that made him stand out among other members of the gang, we later see that it was all an act and he wasn’t as calm or collected as he portrayed himself to be in front of other people when he tried to attack Mikey from behind.

Nobutaka in the present couldn’t be any more different as he was a timid and scared man working as a construction worker to make his ends meet. It is a fall from the grace he once had but also shows how people change throughout their life according to the circumstances they find themselves in.
Appearance
In the prime of his teenage years, Osanai carried a look worthy of a gang leader. He had a blonde sleek pompadour that made him look like a rebel in the society he lived in. The thing that made him stand out among his compatriots was a slanted scar on his forehead and was part of his rough and tough demeanor. Osanai also had this sinister smile on his face that showed other people that he will be up to no good and isn’t just a common bystander minding his own business.
However, his future self isn’t something that one should aspire to be like as he has rough messy dark hair, broken teeth, and lousy eyes. That’s not all, he has also lost the confident posture he had and stood in a manner as hunchback people do so.
Powers/Abilities
In the world of Tokyo Revengers, there aren’t any hidden superpowers one might rely on fighting against others but still, there are fighting techniques that one could use to get the better end of the deal against an opponent. Osanai used an unorthodox hopping while punching technique in his fight against Pah-chin that caught him off guard.
He isn’t the best fighter yet, physically or mentally. As both Mikey and Draken got the better of him soon, but still going up against them isn’t something any ordinary person can do.
Background
Osanai was the 8th leader of the famous Moebius gang and was one of the most feared men in society. He had the respect of his comrades until the incident with Pah-chin, which resulted in him losing control of the gang. In the future, we see him as a construction worker who is struggling to acquire the basic needs of one’s life.

Nobutaka’s name just might be the most important piece of the puzzle for his character. The first part of his name implies trust and belief and the second part of his name means the boss! That is a name made for a gang leader and his parents knew what they wanted their child to be when he grew up!
Voice Actor
If you feel that you have heard the voice of Osanai before somewhere, then we have got the answer for you! Nobutaka’s voice actor in Japanese is Eiji Takeuchi who previously voiced Me of Team Stylish in Akame ga Kill and Hidari in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The characters are pretty similar in personality to Osanai as they have a twisted view of the world around them and it seems like Eiji Takeuchi is making a name for himself for characters like these.
Trivia
It won’t be surprising to you after learning the fact that Osanai is a Sagittarius. The Moebius leader was born on 5th December 1988, and thus symbolizes a lot of the typical personality traits a Sagittarius might show. They are known to be spontaneous and fun which makes them have many friends and that’s the case with Osanai because he was a leader of a whole gang!
The biggest weakness of the former Moebius leader was that he lacked the patience to handle his opponents in a planned manner and that was his downfall, which again is a common characteristic of the Sagittarius!

The Tokyo Manji Gang leader is one of the most feared men in the whole series but to Osanai, he actually was just a kid. Osanai even mocked him as he was just a child indulging in the gang activities which showed he didn’t mostly think highly of him and there was not a lot of respect among them.

Draken is one of the strongest fighters out there in the Tokyo Revengers world, and it seems like Nobutaka actually respected him despite them fighting in the past. When confronted by Takemichi and Naoto in the future, he told them that his life came to such a disaster because of the death of Draken. There is respect or admiration for Draken in Nobutaka’s heart and it will be interesting to see how the story shapes up and explore more of this relationship.

The unnamed boss of Nobutaka treats him very poorly and even yells at him for not working according to his standards. It is quite ironic that a fierce gang leader acted like a timid cat in front of his employer but that’s the world we live in.
