One of the best gore, psychological anime series that a lot of weebs love, TOKYO GHOUL! Even if the anime has already ended, a lot of fans still love to rewatch or binge this series and I am one of those people who did just that! Since, we are gonna talk about the Strongest Characters in Tokyo Ghoul, I made sure to get back to its roots and read the entire manga.

Now mind you guys, this list is solely based on my opinion and observation when reading through both the Tokyo Ghoul and the :re mangas. So without further ado, let us now start! Here is the list of the Strongest Tokyo Ghoul Characters!
Oh and major spoilers up ahead! So, read with caution!
STRONGEST TOKYO GHOUL CHARACTERS
32. Mado Akira

The former partner of Amon as a ghoul investigator, the one who also mentored Sasaki Haise, and one of the characters in this entire series that hate’s ghouls (like Amon), because of the tragedy she experienced. When her parents died at the hands of a ghoul (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 60, 124).
What makes her a notable character is her weapons, the Fueguchi one and two as well as the Amatsu. With these weapons she has, she was able to beat up a lot of ghouls. In addition to that, she was able to fight against Naki, Maka and a few members of the White Suit. With her Fueguchi, she was able to stab Naki and fatally injure him (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 20, 21).
31. Yakumo Oomori

Yakumo Oomori or better known as the 13th Ward’s Jason. He is Juuzou’s weapon and the guy who put a centipede in Kaneki’s ear basically the guy who tortured him, which personally, I was scarred reading that chapter because morally speaking, WHO PUTS A CENTIPEDE ON SOMEONE’S EAR?! Of course, that would be Jason.
Jason is regarded as someone very brutal of a ghoul, he enjoys torturing people and does that as a pass-time. In fact, this sick obsession of his in torturing people actually came from experience himself, because he was constantly being tortured too when he was young (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 61).
Anyways, this guy is the founder of White Suits and is formerly an executive member of the Aogiri Tree. He is considered to be an S-Class ghoul and this guy’s Kakuja is incomplete– which means if he goes berserk he won’t be able to control it (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 65). However, Jason has speedy regeneration skills as well as superhuman strength which was emphasized during his battle with Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 52).
30. Nutcracker

Be careful of this beauty because she will come for your nuts! No, like literally she will eat your nuggets! Anyways, as the name suggests, the Nutcracker literally cracks the nuts of her targets and yes, her targets are male and she would eat their fluids! So men, better be careful out there or you might encounter someone like the Nutcracker.
She is a strong ghoul that is rated by the CCG as an S-class (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 23). What makes her unique is that she has a dual kagune, the first one is a long tail in which it was used for her to hang in the ceilings and the second one is in a form of a spiders limbs in which it can be used for defense (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 23, 27). Although she died at the hands of Shirazu (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 28), her kagune was extracted by the CCG and is turned into an S-Class weapon which was given to Shirazu.
29. Karao Saeki

If you guys don’t know him, he is that taxi driver guy who took Hinami for a ride since he is part of the Aogiri Tree (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 4). He is better known as “Torso,” he is the guy who tortured Mutsuki to the max (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 78). In fact, this guy is a murderer that loves to dismember his targets by taking their torsos and his first victim? His lover (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 1).
To top that off, this serial murderer’s usual target are all women that has scars, this sick kink he has stems from his past lover that he dismembered and murdered. However, the tables were turned when he chose Mutsuki as his next target to dismember. I kid you not, what’s literally left with “Torso” is his Torso (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 79). Although, he is a class A ghoul, Torso is still formidable in way considering that he is a notorious serial murderer.
His Rinkaku Kagune can attack from a distance with his tentacles, this was shown when he abducted Mutsuki and was chased after by Urie and Shizuku (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 5). In addition to that, like any other Ghouls, he also has great regeneration ability.
28. Iwao Kuroiwa

Much like Shinohara except for the part that he didn’t get comatosed, instead, he literally got stabbed in the neck by Furuta (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 137). Now, now, what the anime showed you differs from the manga, you may think that this guy died. However, he didn’t in fact, he was just severely injured and his status now is that he was healed from that neck injury and became one of the advisor’s of masude, which was talked about in the last chapter of :re (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 179).
This guy is also an exceptional character in Tokyo Ghoul. Considering that, like Shinohara, he is also a special class investigator in CCG which is a very important rank in that organization. One of his notable deeds is that he was able to wound Eto in the 2nd ward which was way before Kaneki became a ghoul (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 69). Now mind you, that is one huge feat right there, we all know how hard it is to beat Eto Yoshimura let alone leave a wound on her, so I think he deserves to be part of this list.
27. Shinohara Yukinori

One of the CCG’s senior special class investigators, used to be Amon’s instructor in the academy and is most especially known as the one who took care of Juuzou. Basically, our boy Juuzou see’s him as his own father, since he is the one who taught him about the world of humans. Unfortunately, in the entire series right after the Owl Suppression Operation we see him comatosed but woke up at the end of the series making our precious Juuzou cry (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 179).
If you are wondering why I included him in this list, it’s because being a Special Class Ghoul Investigator is no easy feat. This is why he got an S-Class weapon called Yamada 1– it is a bikaku kagune that is condensed into a sword. In addition to that, he also has an armor which is made out of a prototype koukaku quinque (basically the kagune of Touka and Ayato’s father), this helps him in increasing his strength and agility to battle against SS or SSS Class Ghouls (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 74).
Both of his weapons were shown during the Owl Suppression Operation when he battled against countless ghouls as well as the One-Eyed Owl himself (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 127).
26. Enji Koma

We all know this guy as a waiter in Anteiku in which he is an expert in brewing coffee. But, don’t be fooled by this precious, fluffy-looking guy. He used to be a notorious ghoul before he was taken in by Yoshimura, he is known as the Devil Ape and has a gang on his own which is called as Apes (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 30).
If you have read the manga series, you would probably see him in his Devil Ape persona during the Owl Suppression Operation. This was the arc wherein he was able to make full use of his own skills as a ghoul and since he is the leader of the Apes gang we were able to witness him ordering his members to “go wild” in the battle (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 126). This resulted in them beating up a lot of CCG squads with ease (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 127).
One of the most highlighted battles he did during the Owl Suppression Operation was when he fought against a Ghoul Investigator named Tanakamaru. In this battle we could see how intense their fights were and also, we could see how he used his Bikaku Kagune swiftly (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 129). If you haven’t noticed, his Bikaku Kagune is actually formed into a monkey’s tail hence, he is called the Devil Ape, he doesn’t use it as his weapon but as something to dodge the attacks of his enemies (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 130).
25. Shuu Tsukiyama

The infamous, weirdly obsessed with Kaneki’s scent and taste to the point of wanting to eat him (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 32) then it turned into a genuine compassion for him– like he actually cares for him and worries for his well-being (not in a BL kind of way, but it’ll still be cool if it’s BL though), THE GOURMET!
Anyways, if you’re wondering why I included this guy on the list… Why not? Just kidding! Well, not really though… Anyways, I shall explain it to you guys why he is included as part of the Strongest Characters in Tokyo Ghoul. First of all, this man is RICH, like really really rich, and as the saying goes “When there is money, power suite.” Shuu’s family are wealthy, have a lot of connections and are very influential. This was highlighted during the time when the Tsukiyama family was targeted by the CCG, he literally rode a fancy car to escape (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 46).
Secondly, this guy may be very obsessed with Kaneki’s scent and taste, but this guy is cunningly smart and manipulative. We could see that during his arc when he manipulated Ken into following him somewhere just to expose him as being a one-eyed ghoul and targets him as his food (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 37).
Lastly, he has a strong Koukaku Kagune, in the form of a spiral blade and can also be used as his armor or a shield to defend his body. This was emphasized when he fought against Nishio, Touka and Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 42). Thus, I conclude that this man deserves a spot in this list since he has everything, from wealth, power to great wits.
24. Saiko Yonebayashi

This adorable girl is part of the Quinx squad together with Urie and Mutsuki, who was trained by Sasaki. In fact, when she graduated from the Academy, she took a Quinx aptitude test in which the results showed that she was the best of the best possible candidates for the Quinx and herein after she was forced to become one (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 13).
Although she was the weakest link in the Quinx Squad, considering that she is a Deputy leader of the Squad and a Rank 2 Ghoul Investigator, she is not one to be messed with. Apart from being lazy, Saiko as a Quinx has a Rinkaku Kagune that looks like a reptilian tail-tentacle in which she can manipulate its form or structure. It can be a huge giant fist that is bigger than her, multiple hands that she can control or she can create a net out of her Kagune in which it was shown when she trapped Urie with it (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 112).
23. Kurona Yasuhisa

Another artificial one-eyed ghoul that was experimented on by Dr. Kanou and has a twin sister named Nashiro who died at the hands of Juuzou (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 103). With that, she fused her body with her sister, thinking that she would still be able to live and we all know that ain’t gonna happen though, because Dr. Kanou already slapped her with the truth that Nashiro is dead and what she thought about her “breathing” and “eating” were all just her farts (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 91).
Anyways, knowing the fact that she wouldn’t be able to have her sister back, she picked a fight with the Doctor and she was able to take down Kanuo’s Quinx. We could see in that chapter how strong she was since it’s a one against a lot of Okihara lookalike Quinx that was experimented on by Kanuo (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 93).
With regards to her Kagune and Kakuja they are both Rinkaku types, so it forms into a tentacle. For her Kagune, it is in the form of multiple tentacles that came out on her waist that can reshape itself into a blade or claws (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 77). On the other hand, her Kakuja is incomplete. After eating her sister, her kakuja is formed into a huge armor that plates on her chest, shoulders and arms (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 81).
22. Shikorae

A member of the Clowns organization and a former member of the Aogiri Tree, Shikorae or is known as Rio. He is one of the Prisoners in Cochlea that was freed during the raid and he went together with Roma Hoito (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 60). To be honest, this guy actually is a bit of a coward because he dislikes being in pain. This was shown when Nishiki kicked Shikorae which prompted him to leave the fight because he was in pain (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 97).
Although he is a strong ghoul, considering that, before he got hit by Nishiko he was able to cut his kagune in half (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 94). Which proves that, Shikorae is still very strong and because of a unique characteristic he has which is absorbing RC Cells from his environment which is through cannibalism or from the surroundings.
In addition to that, he has multiple kagunes and every single kagune he has are very strong. His Ukaku Kagune is a wing on his back. The Koukaku Kagune is a blade that is formed on his right arm, his Rinkaku Kagune that are tentacles and lastly, his Bikaku Kagune that is formed as a huge tail (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapters 63, 97, 136).

21. Kirishima Arata

The Father of Touka and Ayato, his Kagune was used by the CCG as a weapon wherein, we saw Shinohara wearing it. Basically, if Rize’s Kagune is used for the Ghoulification of the humans, Arata’s Kagune is used for the CCG in creating strong weapons– which is called “Arata Series.”
So we could literally see here, that if this guy didn’t die, he would’ve been quite a formidable ghoul to beat. After his wife died from the hands of Arima (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 112), Arata sought more power to protect his children from the doves and he went into cannibalizing other ghouls as well as humans just to get more powerful (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 71).
What makes this guy powerful is the fact that he was able to kill both ghouls and investigators alike (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 120). That can be considered a huge feat, his Koukaku Kakuja was developed from his cannibalistic ways, it has turned into a formidable armor (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 104). In my opinion, I think if Arata would’ve been a bit smart in killing ghouls as well as humans and laying low all the time, he would’ve been caught by CCG’s radar. But that’s just me though…
20. Matasaka Kamishiro or Shachi

This guy is someone I considered to be strong since he’s proficient in martial arts. He is a temporary member of the Aogiri Tree, after he made an agreement with Kuzen to look after his daughter Eto (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 64). But before that, he used to be the leader of the 6th ward and aided in training his followers (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 85). Considering that he is the leader of the 6th ward, we can assume that he is a strong ghoul and not one to mess with.
Apart from being proficient in martial arts, his Bikaku Kagune is in a form that resembles an orca’s tail. Further, he has super strength and agility which was shown when he punched Kaneki in the stomach (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 91). In fact, this was the reason as to why he was able to beat Kaneki in a battle one-on-one (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 97).
19. Mutsuki Tooru

One thing’s for sure, this girl is obsessed with Sasaki, also known as, Kaneki to the point that she would literally kill for him and probably kill him too if he was with another girl. She has this thought that if she can’t have him, no one will kinda mindset. This is why she despises Touka so much since she knows that Touka and Ken have something blooming and she doesn’t like that (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 123).
Like Urie, she is a Quinx, a powerful one to boot. If you have been following the manga, you’ll be able to see how Mutsuki became stronger and was able to adjust with her kagune well. What makes her a very scary opponent is that she can mimic other people’s Kagune. The most notable one that she had copied was the Dragon’s Kagune during her fight against Shin (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 155).
If you have been following the manga, then you would probably know the reason as to why her hair changed into a different color. Like Kaneki, she was tortured by a ghoul named Torso and because of that, her hair slowly became white (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 78).
18. Kirishima Ayato

The brother of Touka, known as the Black Rabbit, like Jason, he is also a former executive in Aogiri Tree. This means that Ayato is a powerful ghoul. His ukaku kagune is like his sister Touka, it’s like a vermillion tail that could shoot out some bullets and can form into a wing (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 72).
Fun fact, he used to be a bad guy and hated humans because of the trauma he got when he was young (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 71). That’s why when he grew up, he left behind his sister in search of more power, this is so that he could protect Touka from humans or any kind of bad stuff. Actually, Kaneki was the one who read him and figured out what his true intentions were and why he hated Kaneki in a way because he reminded him of his father Arata (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 75).
Anyways, Ayato’s skills were more emphasized in the manga and you’ll be able to see how much he has grown and became a strong ghoul. In fact, just like Touka, he is suffering from low level of RC Cells which is a huge hindrance for him if a battle is prolonged and most especially if it’s close ranged. However, he turned that weakness into his advantage, he mastered fighting close-range battles and was able to use his kagune perfectly (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 64 & Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 28).
17. Donato Porpora

An Ex Prisoner in Cochlea, A ghoul-priest who orphaned tons of children, including our boy Amon, this Russian guy is also affiliated with the Clown organization and is aliased “Crown” (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 83, 84). Donato is a sadistic and cold-blooded old man, he love’s to torture people both physically and mentally, he is also a mass murderer, he killed all of the children in the orphanage except for Amon who is the only one that found out the truth about him (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 82, 106).
What makes this guy strong is that his Kakuja is not like the other ghouls– he can create clones of himself (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 169). In addition to that, this guy is shrewd in a way that he makes sure to give out information to the CCG and others just to ensure his own safety (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 15). So all in all, this guy deserves to be part of this list since he is both intelligent as well as strong.
16. Fueguchi Hinami

This is an adorable kid, well a teenager, that you don’t wanna mess with… Like literally, she was able to stab Nimura Furuta and leave a hole on his stomach, while escaping together with Sasaki during the Third Cochlea Raid (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 70). Also, this girl is smart, after joining Aogiri Tree, as part of the information gatherer team, she showed her strategic and commanding skill during Auction Raid (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 20, 24).
Not only does Hinami have beauty and brains, she is one heck of a strong woman. Since she is a ghoul, she is naturally born with a rinkaku– a red and yellow tentacle which she can control its motion and koukaku kagune– a flower petal that can be used as a shield (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 30, 84). Additionally, she also has a unique heightened sense of smell and hearing, which she was able to make use of skillfully when he looked for Kaneki and during the Auction arc (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 66 & Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 15).
15. Koutarou Amon

This guy used to be regarded as one of the best Ghoul Investigators in CCG, however he was declared dead after the Owl Suppression Operation (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 143). But, it turns out he was, together with Takizawa, taken by Aogiri and experimented on by Dr. Kanou, turning him into an artificial half-ghoul (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 115). His first appearance as a half-ghoul was during the Rushima Landing Operation (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 66).
All I can say is that this guy is quite strong even when he was a first class investigator. Amon really became more powerful when he turned into a half-ghoul because he was able to inherit Yoshimura’s Kakuhou– basically his kakuja is like an armor with several eyes in his head, multiple spikey blades in his back and a disfigured mouth. He also has another form in which it is similar to Yoshimura, with this form he easily fought against Kurona and Takizawa (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 98, 113).
In addition to that, his Kagune is also very powerful, since it can form into projectiles leaving a hole to their opponents body. His Kagune’s abilities were shown when he pierced a whole on Kuki Urie’s Kagune (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 98). With that, his skills might be or probably much more stronger than an average ghoul.
14. Tatara

Partly, the reason why Takizawa and Amon turned into a ghoul was because of this dude right here. He is also the Leader of the Aogiri Tree organization, Tatara was originally from China and used to be a member of the Chi She Lian organization (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 141).
Tatara’s kagune wasn’t actually known what type it is but surely, it is a powerful one. With his Kagune, he was able to swipe off the ghoul investigators easily before he approached Seidou. Tatara’s kagune, looks like a tail that is long and thin but the tip looks like a spearhead (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 141). Also, his kakuja is a huge armor that is a bit scaly in a way and the head part of it can create flames to attack the enemy (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 68).
In addition to that, Tatara has a unique skill wherein he can create flames. This only happens when his RC cell levels increase (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 88).
13. Uta

One of my favorite characters in the entire series and the guy who hasn’t given any justice in the anime series, Uta, that’s why I recommend you guys to read the manga so you guys would understand how strong this guy is. You might have only seen his battle against Renji during the Dragon Arc, where he was beaten. But boy, this guy is one heck of a powerful ghoul and the coolest too.
Uta is known as the “No Face” in CCG, the owner of HySy ArtMask Studio, he is also a member of the Clown organization. In his younger days, he was the strongest ghoul in the 4th ward so naturally he became the leader (Tokyo Ghoul,Chapter 111). This is actually how he and Renji ended up becoming friends with each other because both of them fought. After some time once their relationship bloomed, Uta mentioned that he would help Renji avenge his sister’s death by killing Arima– although, they didn’t complete that mission though because Arima boy is too strong for Renji (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 112).
So, what makes this guy strong? Well, first of all this guy’s kagune is no joke. Also, this guy has a skill to shapeshift and turn into a different person, this was shown when he imitated Arima (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 22). In addition to that, he also imitated Yukinori Shinohara as well as Sasaki on different occasions (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 110, 113).
Not only can he shapeshift, he could also clone himself, like Donatoro. This was highlighted during his battle with Mutsuki (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 113). Thus, making him a strong character.
12. Renji Yomo

Renji Yomo or is known as Raven (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 111) is the right hand man of the late Yoshimura, Anteiku’s former boss and is a friend of Uta as well as Itori (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 11). Not to mention he is also the uncle of the siblings, Ayato and Touka Kirishima (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 71).
This guy is quite a formidable ghoul, in the past, he actually was a very scary ghoul because he resorted to cannibalism and he fought with Uta a couple of times. This was to the point that Uta had to adjourn his fights with him because, if they do fight seriously one of them is probably gonna die (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 111). Yomo possesses an Ukaku Kagune, in which two black wings are formed in his shoulder; it has the power to produce a lightning bolt to its targets.
To add that up, he fought with Arima, not once, but twice! Now that is something noteworthy for him, since we all know how OP Arima is. Anyways, during his battle with him, he showed great reflexes and was able to force Arima into calling his subordinate. However, the battle was cut short since Yoshimura stepped up and took Yomo away from them (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 113 & Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 71).

The guy who took care of Eto Yoshimura when she was a child until she grew up as an adult. One of the Leaders of Aogiri Tree, this silent giant is actually a very strong ghoul, even the CCG is threatened by him since he has the tendency to be either aggressive or would ignore them when they meet. This was shown during the battle in 11th Ward in which he beat up the squad who hurt Ayato and ignored Juuzou right after (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 51).
Noro’s possess a bikaku kagune that looks like a lamprey (it’s a type of jawless fish), this was shown during the Rose Investigation wherein, he easily beaten up and killed some of the members of the Quinx and Kuramoto Squad (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 49). He also has a Bikaku Kakuja that is quite different from the normal Kakuja we see from ghouls, that is in the form of an armor. For Noro, his kakuja is filled with a lot of kagune that is covered with a huge mouth, though he can’t control it (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 108).
Lastly, this guy has great regeneration skills as well as a high pain tolerance. His regeneration skills were shown when he fought against Uta, Yomo and Tsukiyama, they literally almost obliterated him, even his head was cut off but surprisingly he survived all that (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 64). Apart from that, being constantly wounded he wasn’t able to feel any pain from it and just kept going.
10. Roma Hoito

The most annoying character in the entire series for me. She is the founder of the Clowns organization, though she hid it as a secret as part of her ploy since she considers everything as just a “game.” Considering that she is the founder of the Clowns, we could already assume that this girl is a very strong ghoul (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 135). Fun fact, she is actually older than she looks.
Roma is considered to be ranked SSS-class of a Ghoul because of her notorious reputation. In fact in her younger days, she was nicknamed as the “Dodgy Mother,” she earned that title because Roma was able to fight against Tsuneyoshi Washuu, a very powerful ghoul and from the Washuu clan to boot (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 135)! Although, fortunately she died at the hands of Kuki Urie, she is still someone that is hard to fight against (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 137).
Her Rinkaku Kagune are eight tentacles that come out from her abdomen, another version of her kagune is one large tentacle-tail in which she was able to control it properly (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 21). In addition to that, she has great regeneration skill which can be seen during her fight with Urie, even when her head was decapitated, she was still able to talk normally (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 137). Now that is something quite noteworthy!
9. Kuki Urie

A Quinx as well as a former ghoul investigator, the captain of a quinx squad (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 137) and now a Peacemaker (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 179). He is one of the characters in this series that has a major character development after witnessing the death of Shirazu (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 55). Because of his death he changed into a much softer version of himself, caring for other Quinx like him, though he still has aspirations to reach the top of CCG.
Kuki owned an SS-Class bikaku quinque named Ginkui, which he skillfully mastered using it (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 59). In addition to that, since he is a Quinx, he has a koukaku kagune– it is formed as an armor and it’s also equipped with a long sword making him quite formidable.
One of the most notable battles was when he fought against Noro as well as Roma Hoito. With Noro, he was the one who landed the final attack in killing him instantly (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 54). In the case of Roma Hoito, their battle was neck-to-neck since she was able to give him a serious injury. However, after almost successfully eating Urie’s subordinate, Urie stabbed Roma in the stomach which destroyed her Kakuja and with that he decapitated her and stabbed her head in the end (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 137).
8. Juuzou Suzuya

One of my favorite characters in the entirety of Tokyo Ghoul, this kid has been through alot. Formerly a Special Class Ghoul investigator but now a Peacemaker (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 32, 179), this guy has been acknowledged by Furuta as the next Arima aka the strongest ghoul investigator in CCG, after his death (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 103). Despite being a Human, Juuzou’s skills are something that a lot of ghouls are afraid of, he is a man with so much talent. Not to mention, this guy’s speed is on another level, he was able to kill a lot of ghouls in one go (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 60).
This is gonna be a bit controversial but, in my own opinion, what makes Juuzou so strong is his ability to not feel any pain that is inflicted on his body, this stems from his traumatic experience when he was kidnapped and tortured by Big Madame (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 122). But, that’s just me though…
7. Seidou Takizawa

One word to describe the entire ordeal that happened when he was being experimented on is: Trauma. Like Amon, he was also a former ghoul investigator until he was defeated during the Owl Suppression Operation by Tatara (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 141) and was experimented on by Dr. Kanou with the use of Yoshimura’s kakuho (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 90). Turning him into an artificial one eyed half-ghoul and he became part of the Aogiri Tree (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 20)
Basically, he also has some of the traits of Kuzen’s kagune and kakuja, but he can’t fully control Yoshimura’s Kohaku. However, he is still strong despite being unable to use the full potential of Yoshimura’s Kohaku. In fact, even if he was a deficit he was able to murder Tatara, the man who defeated him and Amon during the Owl Suppression Operation, in a heated battle (Tokyo Ghou:re, Chapter 89). Just so you know, Tatara is the leader of the Aogiri Group and an SS~ class ghoul (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 60), basically he is very strong and knowing this fact, we could conclude that Takizawa deserves to be part of this list.

Better known as the “Binge-Eater” since she is the type of ghoul who constantly eats since she is always hungry. In fact, she was feared by both humans and ghouls alike because she isn’t a picky eater, she’ll eat whomever she gets her hands on (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 89). This girl was the underdog in this entire series, if it wasn’t for her Ken would’ve just lived a very peaceful life as a human.
Anyways, you probably know the reason why I included her to this list and this was highly emphasized during the Dragon Arc. We all know that Rize has been constantly experimented on, from the Aogiri Tree to the CCG and she has become the vessel for the Dragon (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 89 & Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 161). What makes her formidable is the fact that her Kagune can turn a human into a ghoul, this was especially highlighted during the Dragon Arc, with just her toxins that spreaded around the entire Tokyo, she ghoulified a lot of humans.
5. Yoshimura Kuzen

A gentle old soul, former owner of cafe Anteiku, the father of Eto Yoshimura (One-Eyed Owl), and called by the CCG as the Non-killing Owl. This guy is one heck of a force and I do believe that if he were still in his prime he would’ve had an advantage during the Owl Suppression Operation, but that’s just me though. Anyways, Kuzen wouldn’t be regarded as an SSS-Class of ghoul for nothing, I mean, he was able to beat up a couple of special investigators (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 129).
In addition to that, in his younger days, he was part of an organization as the “cleaner” in V. He was tasked to kill either humans or ghouls and eat them both (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 119). Because he keeps on eating his kind, he obtained a strong kakuja and to top that off his kagune has four kakuhos. Along with his super powered regeneration ability, Yoshimura is indeed someone to be feared by a lot of Ghoul investigators and Ghouls.

The Daughter of Kuzen Yashimura and the human Ukina, a naturally born as a half-ghoul, known as the “One Eyed Owl”, she is also an author with a pen name “Takatsuki” and she is the one who created the Aogiri Tree (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 61). And since she is an author so naturally she is wealthy, so we could assume too that she is quite powerful. Well, being a naturally half ghoul is already something, so with an EXTRA SPECIAL bit of wealth sprinkled on her side, she is someone not someone we could mess with.
A bit of a fun fact about a naturally born human-ghoul is that they can eat normal human foods too and they don’t always manifest a kagune in them. However, they have great physical abilities but they don’t get to live long, and one good example for that is our boy Arima. But for Eto she is a rare case of a half human-ghoul (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 83). Her Kagune can take multiple forms of appendages that are attached on her back, her kakuja on the other hand, can shoot projectiles towards her enemies (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 124 & Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 43).
Anyways, Eto is an SSS class ghoul, which means that she is someone that isn’t easy to beat. She even overpowered people like Juuzou, Kousuke, and Koori during the Owl Suppression Operation (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 136). Furthermore, she is so strong that she was able to take down a lot of V members before being defeated by Nimura (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 82). Not to mention, she was used by Donato Porpora in creating a Taxidermied Owl, which then revived her back (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 165).
3. Nimura Furuta

The former Bureau Director of CCG, he is just like Kaneki, an artificial one-eyed half ghoul using Rize’s Kagune (Tokyo Ghoul: re, Chapter 76). This two-faced, cunning man has a lot of affiliation in so many ghoul organizations like the V– this is where Kuzen was formerly a member at and The Clowns, to name a few. This guy is very meticulous and smart in creating strategic plans for his own gain (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 61 & Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 78).
Not only that, he is actually quite powerful ever since he got Rize’s Kagune– well, he technically has gotten stronger thanks to her Kagune but before that, he was still quite formidable. This is because he has obtained a Rinkaku Kagune– we could see him using it during his fight with Eto Yoshimura in which he sliced her Kakuja (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 76). To add that up, he also has immense regeneration skills which were upgraded because of Rize’s Kagune, an amazing Rinkaku Kagune, super strength, and he is a great swordsman (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 53, 70). With that, this guy is not only smart but also a very cunning character or villain in this series.

Ahh~ this guy has tons of achievements and is notorious for killing ghouls mercilessly. So girls or boys, if you simp on this dead man, I wholeheartedly support you because I simp for him too!
Anyways, there are a lot of people and ghouls that hate as well as fear him. Well, that’s not something to be surprised of considering that this man, before he died, was considered to be the strongest Ghoul Investigator of the entirety of CCG and is best known as the Reaper of CCG and he is also known as the “One-Eyed King” (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 86). If this guy wouldn’t have died, I would probably rank him first considering that he murdered a lot of notable ghouls in his entire life as an investigator.
Although, sadly he killed himself, because Kaneki doesn’t have any plans to do the deed for him. The fact that Kaneki can’t beat this guy says a lot, even when he is already handicapped aka Blind, Arima still overpowered Kaneki. I mean, he isn’t just the Reaper for a reason (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 82).
It was clearly shown right then and there that Kaneki was fighting a losing battle because of how powerful Arima is (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 82). All in all, this guy is not one to be messed with because he could skillfully kill you even when in sleep.

Before we conclude this blog, I would like to special mention our boy Nishiki. This lover boy right here together with Touka and Kaneki, fought against the Gourmet just so he could save his girl (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 45). Though they were able to beat Gourmet they were severely wounded, especially him (Tokyo Ghoul, Chapter 46).
Though, people may find him weak, I concur that thought because this guy is actually quite strong of a character. He also has a great development from Tokyo Ghoul to :re, once he joined the Aogiri Tree, he was named as the “Serpent” because of his snake-like kagune (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 46). One strong proof of that is when he killed two quinx in a single attack (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 91), now that is a noteworthy praise right there!

To continue, this guy may be an artificial one eyed ghoul like Furuta who possesses Rize’s Kagune, but he is one heck of a powerful guy, he ain’t the One-eyed King for a reason bro (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 86). He is a force to be reckoned with, trained by Arima (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 67) this guy has become a great swordmaster and fighter. Not to mention, his regeneration ability is the best out of all ghouls out there.
If you have watched or read this series, you would know how quickly he regenerates his body whenever a limb or two are chopped off his body. In addition to that, he was able to control a lot of kagunes– like literally he can make lifeless husks and golems easily which was his Dragon Form (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 146, 153). With this form of his, he was able to easily defeat Furuta when they were engaging in a one-on-one battle (Tokyo Ghoul:re, Chapter 174).
CONCLUSION
If you only watched the anime series and wondered why some of the characters mentioned were so strong, then I suggest that you, my dear readers, start reading the manga! I tell you, there is so much detailed information that was missing or wasn’t included in the anime but it was all in the manga all along.
I mean, how did I know about Uta’s strong skills when it isn’t shown in the anime? That’s why, I will repeat this as much as I can, READ THE MANGA! I promise you guys won’t regret it! Also, shout out to Sui Ishida (the author of this masterpiece) and his new manga that was published last year called “Choujin X.” I highly recommend you guys to read this manga, it is like Tokyo ghoul too which is really fun!

Thanks to her elder sister’s personality issues, she’s second in line to become the Queen of Melromarc. Melty specializes in water magic and is also a low-level magic-user. Elrasla Grilaroc Elrasla Grilaroc is an old woman who serves as a combat instructor in the Rock Valley and is the sole successor of the Hengen Musou style of martial arts. Despite her old age, we see her full of energy and wisdom. A fighter without a peer, Elrasla has great mastery of energy and ki that make her a tough opponent for some. She’s able to boost her physical strength by simply flowing her ki throughout her body and all of it happens dramatically! Elrasla can transform anything into a lethal weapon she gets her hands on which definitely makes her a formidable opponent! 15. Bio Plant An experiment gone wrong, Bio Plant was originally a seed that was planted by Naofumi, producing juicy tomato-like fruits. However, the plant ended up producing dangerous subspecies because of some mutation as well as its high intelligence. The two subspecies it produced were Plant Riwe and Madoragora. Plant Riwe had a lot of vines and a large flower growing from its head. This humanoid creature released poisonous clouds when in threat. The other subspecies that Bio Plant produced was Madoragora that resembled a large pitcher plant. It released acid from its vines, entrapping its target and eating it alive. Both these humanoid creatures gave Naofumi and his team a tough time! 14. Zombie Dragon Zombie Dragon was originally the Dragon Emperor and the father of Wyndia (the slave bought by Naofumi). The Dragon Emperor was killed wrongfully by Ren Amaki but we can’t really blame him because he was tricked into killing it by the greedy villagers. Ren left the corpse of the dragon to rot there and it transformed into a zombie, spreading disease everywhere in the village. The Dragon corpse gained its immense power from the hatred and betrayal and caused havoc everywhere. It was extremely strong and released poisonous gases from its mouth. Having regenerative powers, the Zombie Dragon was a tough opponent for Naofumi and his party. 13. Itsuki Kawasumi One of the four legendary heroes, Itsuki Kawasumi was summoned as a Bow Hero from another hero along with other heroes. Being bullied as a child left him yearning for praise and feeling superior to others. In the beginning, he was all about justice and equality. However, after some time, he ended up becoming just like others, selfish to the core! When it comes to strength and abilities, Itsuki is pretty strong but still the weakest of the four heroes (Except Naofumi in the start). He uses the bow on his opponents and can easily take them out with it. The bow offers a number of offensive attacks like shooting stars and thunder from his arrow. 12. Ren Amaki The Sword Hero, Ren Amaki is the only character who does not believe in treating Naofumi like shit unlike other heroes and everybody in the Capital. Though, he was unable to get all chummy with Naofumi because of his personality issues. Ren possesses the Holy Sword that chose him as its wielder. The sword can cut through anything and everything because of how sharp it is! Other than using the Sword, Ren possesses some mastery in water and supports magic. After getting deceived by Malty, he unlocked the curse of Greed and Gluttony that made him go haywire. He was definitely unbeatable in that state! 11. Motoyasu Kitamura The worst of all four heroes, Motoyasu Kitamura is the legendary Spear Hero that was summoned from another world along with the three other heroes. Being extremely gullible and naive made him take the worst decision and he ended up causing a lot of trouble, especially for Naofumi. He’s delusional to the core and acts high and mighty all the time. Malty was able to fool him easily because of his superficial personality. In short, Malty had him wrapped around her little finger. In terms of power levels, Motoyasu easily surpasses the three heroes (Initially). He possesses the legendary spear that holds a lot of combat power and can easily defeat Motoyasu’s targets. His spear is able to split up into multiple spears when thrown in the direction of its target. Motoyasu in his cursed mode is definitely not easy to deal with. He unlocked that curse of lust that boosted his physical powers and made him go berserk! 10. Biscas T. Balmus The leader of the Church of the Three Heroes, Biscas T. Balmus is one of the major antagonists and another character that we’d like to punch in the face. He’s second only to Malty in terms of being despicable! He hides behind the facade of being kind-hearted and just but Naofumi was able to see through his lies and figured out his twisted personality (A god complex basically). Biscas T. Balmus possessed a replica of all four legendary weapons that our heroes possessed. The powers of all the weapons were boosted when Balmas used them on the heroes. Other than the weapons, he had the accumulated powers of his blind and staunch believers who were even ready to sacrifice their lives for him. He was definitely one of the most formidable enemies that our heroes came across! 9. Raphtalia The extremely lovable main heroine of the anime, Raphtalia has a great affinity towards Naofumi because he freed her and saved her life. She used to be a fearful and shy girl initially but Naofumi gradually transformed her into a strong-willed woman and raised her like her own daughter. But little does he know our adorable heroine has feelings for him! Raphtalia acts as Naofumi’s sword and is true to her name. She’s great at wielding a sword and is also able to use light and dark magic. Initially, she’s not very strong but gradually, she learns a number of tricks as well as masters Hengan Muso under Elrasala’s guidance. Just like Raphtalia, Filo is extremely loyal to his master and acts as his strength. In her human form, Filo is no more than a spoiled brat who won’t listen to Naofumi unless she’s fed and pampered properly. We also see her developing a friendship with the second princess, Melty Q Melromarc. Filo is extremely reliable when it comes to actual physical combat and is pretty strong. Nobody can match her speed and agility. A swift learner, Filo is able to learn magic spells as well as different tricks in no time! Filo specializes in wind magic and can control the wind, creating typhoons and tornadoes that are pretty powerful! 7. Mirelia Q. Melromarc Everyone’s favorite character from this anime, Mirelia Q Melromarc is the Queen of Melromarc and the mother of Malty and Melty. She’s the definition of grace and justice and unlike his husband, she’s very kind to everyone. she’s got the beauty and the brains- A COMPLETE PACKAGE! Mirelia is a proficient magic user and formerly served as a strategist for the allied army. Her magic is quite overpowered as she single handedly defeated Biscas T Balmus who even possessed the replica of all the legendary weapons. Her magic powers are definitely not to be underestimated coupled with her smart brain! 6. Therese Alexandrite Therese Alexandrite is the companion of the Scythe Hero, L’Arc Berg Sickle, and travels with him to different places. She’s the true definition of courteous and graceful as she carries herself with grace. She’s quite shy and serious in comparison to L’Arc. She’s said to be a jewel and is very fond of them. She cares deeply about their feelings and gets excited when she comes across new gems. We see her obtaining powerful magic from different gems and using it against her enemies and can take them out in no time. She’s also physically very strong as she was able to carry drunken L’Arc all by herself! 5. L'Arc Berg Sickle The wielder of the Vessel Scythe, L’Arc Berg is a King from the other world beyond the wave. We see him fooling around and being carefree despite being an actual king of a country. Naofumi sees him as a brother figure because of his character and approach towards others. His scythe holds an immense amount of energy that can cut anything in half in no time. Other than using his scythe, L’Arc is also able to use wind magic and is also very proficient in it. We’ve seen him blowing away his enemies with a single flick of the wrist by creating a powerful tornado. 4. Tyrant Dragon Rex Sealed by the previous Legendary heroes, Tyrant Dragon Rex was a terrific monster that they could defeat even when working together. It was instead sealed away by the heroes inside a sealing stone (Phew!). The sealing stone was being carefully watched over by the nobility generation after generation. Idol Rabier was the one who broke the seal and let the Dragon go haywire and cause havoc everywhere. There was no chance that our heroes would be able to defeat such a terrifying thing. However, with the brains of Naofumi and the help of the great Queen Fitoria, they were able to defeat the Tyrant Dragon Rex. Naofumi and the team found themselves in a bit of a pickle with this one. 3. Glass Glass is a vassal wielder from another world and belongs to the race of spirit people. She has an intimidating aura that made the four heroes feel threatened and shaken (Even Naofumi). She comes from another world with the mission of killing the four heroes to save the heroes from her own world and is quite serious about it. She possesses exceptional power that is equal to the seven-star heroes and is the vassal of the fan. She extracts her power from the soul Power of the Spirit people. The more the Soul Power, the more strong she is. She definitely makes a formidable opponent and we’ll surely see more of her in the new season! 2. Naofumi The protagonist and an outcast of the anime, Naofumi is one of the four Legendary Heroes, possessing the Holy Shield. After being wrongfully accused of sexual assault by Malty, he had to start everything from scratch and made his way up to the top. Naofumi used to be a positive person before getting wrongfully accused. He grew extremely spiteful of the world afterward and had trouble trusting anyone. But with the help of Raphtalia and Filo, he was able to regain some of his humanity and the trio became extremely strong together. Unfortunately, Naofumi did not possess any special ability or ever physical proficiency to be in any kind of battle. But with the help of Raphtalia and Filo, he was able to unlock a massive number of skills and learned different abilities that made him stand tall amongst the other heroes. The Holy Shield he possessed grew stronger and stronger gradually and was not only used for defense but also for offense. Naofumi’s curse mode is extremely dangerous for his enemies and even his team members as he’s not able to control it well. Naofumi is definitely one of the strongest characters of this anime! 1. Fitoria Fitoria is the Queen of all Filolials and is a hidden seven-star hero. She’s actually supposed to be the carriage hero and lives in isolation in a forest. Though she interacts with the heroes, she’s indifferent towards most people because of her trust issues. According to Naofumi, she’s just like Filo, a brat who loves eating. Her human form might look weak and feeble but she’s the strongest of all the characters in The Rising of The Shield Hero. She shows a lot of transformations from the size of a normal filolial to the size of a huge building! She has lived many centuries and possesses ancient knowledge about most things. Her magic is extremely powerful. She was able to take out the Tyrant Dragon Rex all by herself without even breaking a sweat. That’s how powerful she is! Conclusion The Rising of the Shield Hero has a set of versatile characters with unique powers with the potential of surpassing each other with every battle they fight! The monsters and spirits in this anime are also extremely overpowered to the point where they leave the heroes in a pickle. Gaku Ki Gaku Ki was a general in Yan after former Qi was invaded by the 1st allied forces known as “Military God”. Gaku Ki is a huge and handsome man. He has a long beard and wears a regular coat. Little is known about his scholarship at this point, but he seems to have a calm personality, as it's okay for Geki Shinto to steal the path of war. 17. Chou Tou Chou Tou is a great general from Qin County. He fights with the Wei Army and the Han Ding Half Army Kanki and Mou Gou, guarding the Kankoku PassGate and wearing appropriate armor and powerful warrior costumes for the general. With his tall mustache and beard, Chou Tou is a serious and loyal person, demonstrating his loyalty to his country. As an experienced warrior, he showed an insulting attitude until his death. He respected his people, showed the same complete respect and admiration as Kanki for those who had been cruelly tested before, and even asked her. He said he hated the 6th General of Qin County. On the other hand, he was completely loyal to the state of Qin and was angry when Kan Ki insulted his notion of patriotism. 16. Man Goku of Assault Man Goku is General Zhao and his specialty is aggression. He was the commander of Man Goku Army, considered a natural enemy of Qin, and the only person Kanyou City had to avoid. Gaku Ei wears a feather helmet with two long horns that extend sideways. His armor also differed from that of the shogun in that he had two long shoulder shields on each side. Gyou’un Gyou'Un's name did not spread throughout Zhao, but he fought hard in most of his work, so he was still one of the most powerful of his leaders. Ka Rin Ka Rin was a general and one of the prime ministers of Chu. She was the second army officer arrested. According to Shun Shin Kun, she has more dangerous personal problems for her allies, which was shown when she executed Rin Bu Kun's lieutenant as promised. She is loyal to her, saying she no longer needs a helpless fool. In fact, he likes to run everyone today. But this will be a problem for Shun Shin Kun. Ka Rin showed insidious, brutal, and serious muscles. Hence, he concluded that his death would lead to the end of Wei in the future war in which most of the dragon had lost fire. 10. Kyou Kai For me, she's definitely the best female character in the series. Kyou Kai comes from the unique and charming Shiyuu family that was the origin of his career. Her story is really fun and I always feel like investing in it. It felt like a threat in one plot that felt very different from the rest of the series, I love him and I think that's one of the main reasons why he stands out as a character. Kyou Kai is a fierce fighter with amazing abilities that make him the most powerful fighter other than Shin. Of course, his talent is linked to his family and his past. I really like your silence. But she also has a distinct personality. She also has a special relationship with my favorite Shane. I am grateful for Zoro and Luffy’s similar mutual understanding. She's also the leader of a 3,000-strong squad, and she deserves it. It's also nice to see your travels. She lived alone to avenge her sister's death. But in Hi Shin's unit, he finds something different in life. He found the royal family. Kyokai is awesome and awesome. He died at Hou Ken’s hand and gave Shin a shield because Ou Ki was his grave. Moreover, the rest of his people joined Hai Shin's unit after his death. Turns out, this is a great way to somehow preserve his legacy. His relationship with Shin & co on Fight Night was a really special moment which I still find unforgettable. His latest painting, “Don't ever let your fire die out” is undoubtedly my favorite moment in the series. His role might not be as good as the rest of the cast, but that doesn't change the adorable and emotional character he used to be. 7. Tou In the end, Tou was General Qin and was Ouki’s right arm one day. In the Allied war, I managed to defeat General Rinbokun without any problems, and as Mouten said, we didn't know the extent of the towing capabilities. Throughout his career, he was behind Ouki's shadow and kept in hiding. So it is hard to say that it is strong. But I think he deserves the title. 6. Ouki’s Glive The grave was used by General Ouki from the beginning until his death as a member of the Six Generals. After falling in love with Chen and praising his talent and potential, the general transferred his weapon to Shin. After skipping three years from the Allied invasion in preparation for training, Shane practiced the use of bottles, compensating for his incompetent power and all knights and infantry in a single sword attack. He was the most powerful and aggressive general in the history of Qin. 3. Hou Ken The man who kill people like Duke Hyou, Ouki, Kyo, and Gekishin in single combat are stronger than Ouki in Bayou, but people like Shin and Ouki is his weakness. He's been stronger since Bayou, and it's safe to assume that Houken is stronger than all the characters under him. Shane is his weakness and can be defeated. 2. Ou Ki Ouki's series, which is a member of the six General Qin and is the inspiration for Aoki's main character, has a short time. But it is still in the minds of our readers. Wild Qin birds are famous for their physical strength and strategic ability. He fought like Houken and was able to destroy Shinmou with a single blow. It really deserves a spot on the list. 1.
