PLOT 

The story of Fullmetal Alchemist is set in the 20th century revolving around two intellectual brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric. In this fictional universe, Alchemy is highly practiced and the story highlights the journey of these brothers who are looking for the Philosopher’s Stone. It’s a special stone which can negate the effects of Equivalent Exchange. It is also given different names like “Red Stone ”. After Alphonse and Edward Elric tried to bring their mother back to life, he lost all his body parts while Edward lost 2 limbs due to alchemy. That’s why these brothers were in search of the Philosopher’s Stone. If you’re new here, now you know the story of Fullmetal Alchemist. So, if you like it then start watching it! 

CHARACTERS INCLUDED 

Edward Elric

Edward Elric is one of the main protagonists in the anime. He’s the brother of Alphonse Elric.  

Both of these brothers are quite intellectual and they tried to save their mother with Alchemy. However, that did not end up well as Edward lost his leg and arm during the process. We know that science experiments are quite risky. Isn’t that right? One wrong chemical and BOOM! There’s a fire or toxic smoke. So, one should always be careful when experimenting. 

Edward is quite short–heighted. He has long golden hair that is tied in a braid. He separates his bangs in two partitions. They look really dope to be honest. I really dig Edward’s style. We don’t see many male anime characters tying their hair in a braid. Isn’t that right? For his outfit, he’s mostly wearing a bright red hooded top that has a long tail. 

On the outside, this guy is quite immature. However, on the inside, he’s strong-willed and a determined individual. YES! Just like any main character, he’s devoted and doesn’t give up easily. He’s definitely one of the smartest characters in the anime. Edward might appear as quick-tempered and arrogant. But on the other hand, he deeply respects those people who have left a huge impact on him. Edward has huge compassion and loyalty for his loved ones. No matter what happens, he will always protect his loved ones. 

Alphonse Elric 

Alphonse Elric is also one of the main characters. He’s the brother of Edward Elric who his entire body while experimenting with Alchemy. He’s also known as Al. Since he lost his body parts, he existed as a mere soul inside a large suit made of steel. 

As compared to his brother Edward, Al is quite calm. He doesn’t lose his temper quickly. He’s quite compassionate and accepts whenever he’s at fault. Al craves human warmth and touch ever since he lost his body parts and now exists inside the steel suit. Imagine how dark and lonely he must feel. Doesn’t that upset you? 

Al loves cats and shows great affection for them. Imagine a huge steel man grabbing a cat and petting it. Sounds kawaii to me! Sometimes Al surpasses his brother when it comes to winning the hearts of women. He must be a soft-speaker. Take notes guys, women love guys like Alphonse. If you got Alphonse Elric in the result of your quiz, well, I must say, you’re lucky with women. 

Winry Rockbell 

Winry Rockbell is one of the supporting characters in the anime. She loves repairing things. Winry is the type of person who wouldn’t buy new things until the older ones are completely useless. Imagine having the skill of repairing your own things. How much money will you be able to save? 

I have never heard of a supporting character having so many skills. But Winry is extraordinary. She used to be a surgeon in her younger days. Well, let’s talk about her personality now. Having useful skills is good but how would her personality be? She’s strong-willed and cheerful all the time. OMG! Isn’t that the definition of a perfect waifu? 

Winry likes to put her all into repairing things. She loves mechanics. Since she has a vast knowledge about mechanics. Edward calls her “A mechanic otaku”. Isn’t that such a cute nickname? The fun part is yet to come! So, the thing is that Edward sometimes uses her tools, especially the wrench as a weapon. This enrages Winry and that’s when she loses her cool. 

Winry loves her parents and respects them wholeheartedly too. She was raised just fine by her parents but her sense of morality is worth-appreciating. She is quite loyal to her teammates and anyone she works with. You can say that she’s a hard worker and her bubbly personality makes her attractive. So, if you got Winry Rockbell, you’re interesting for sure! 

Roy Mustang 

BEEP BEEP! It’s not your Mustang car, it’s Roy Mustang. Honestly, I feel like my humor is dying. Anyways, let’s see who’s this guy with thin hair and dark eyebrows, seems very perfect though. 

Well, Roy Mustang has the third most important role in the anime after Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric. He’s known to be an officer in the Amestrian State. He’s one amazing capable commander who plays a vital role in the anime. Let’s learn a bit about him! 

If you’re seeing him for the first time, you must be thinking that he looks kind of “self-absorbed” which isn’t wrong. HAHA! He surely is but the thing is he’s allowed to be. Imagine you’re so capable and confident. You can be self–absorbed. He is an expert when it comes to manipulating others. So, Edward and Alphonse got lucky to meet someone like Roy Mustang. He’s famous for being a flirtatious person too. 

Due to his endless charisma, he can win the hearts of any woman. I mean, look at him! Dark eyes, clean shave, and classy attire. What else do you need? If you got Roy Mustang, you’re definitely attractive. 

Envy 

Envy is one of the characters with the ability to shapelift. It can be used for any human. We mostly see Envy as an Androgynous with a lean and muscular structure. He has violet eyes and wispy hair. 

You can say that this character enjoys tormenting humans. He’s quite cruel and will take the psychological advantage over his opponent. If you’re in front of him, just run away. Because if you get in his way, he’s gonna wipe you out like sweat. 

CONCLUSION

Fullmetal Alchemist is an old anime but it will keep shining inside our hearts. With its scientific universe, we got to learn many things. But again, don’t try anything at home unless you want to be like Alphonse Elric. (ifykyk) This anime will surely make you learn a lot of things about life as well as studying.
