Trevor Belmont
Trevor Belmont is our main character who belongs to the Belmont Clan. This clan is one of the strongest and the most important clans in the anime. The members of this clan have been given the duties to defeat vampires. Anyways, Trevor is a huge guy who’s quite sturdy. He changed his appearance many times. Overall, he’s got a hard body and many people around him fear him.
As far as his personality is concerned, he’s quite short-tempered and straightforward. If I were a strong warrior, I’d have been proud of myself as well! Just like that, Trevor is a warrior who’s prideful about his abilities. He’s not only sturdy on the outside yet he’s really proficient with weapons, especially if it involves fighting monsters. These skills make him one of the best MCs in the world of anime. Isn’t that right? I want Trevor’s fanbase to go “loco” when they read this blog! And if you got Trevor Belmont, I must say you don’t get worried about things. You’re chill when it comes to dangerous situations, and whatever you do, you do it whole-heartedly.
Sypha Belnades
Sypha Belnades is also one of the main characters in Castlevania. She’s been with Trevor Belmont on his journey to fight the creatures and vampires. Sypha is also known as a witch who has powers using different elements. Sypha is very kind spirited. She’s adventurous and loves experiencing new things.
In her early life, the vampire Carmilla darkened the hearts of many people which ended up killing a lot of Sypha’s sister witches. She tried to escape and then she was granted safety by the church.
Her just nature makes her fight evil beings which she enjoys. If you got Sypha you can’t stand injustice and like to help others when they’re in a helpless situation.
Alucard
Alucard is one of our three main characters. He’s the son of Dracula. I’m not gonna spoil anything for you but he might or might not be a villain. He’s also known as Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes. Alucard is definitely a vampire who has gone through a lot due to the blood curse. If you’re seeing this guy for the first time, you’ll go like OMG, he’s so cool and strong which is true. Due to his mother’s death by the hands of humans, he started hating humans.
Alucard likes to stay away from everyone and he decided to separate himself from everyone through “eternal sleep”. He’s quite skillful since he possesses dark magic and other such abilities. If you see Alucard on the streets, you better hide under the sheets.
Dracula
Dracula is one of the antagonists in the anime. He’s responsible for sending out weird creatures against humans. He’s also the father of Alucard. After the death of Lisa, this man went crazy! Dracula became crazy and started hating humans. Dracula likes to think that he’s superior to anybody else. He’s prideful and cruel. Though, he does have a soft spot for his son, aka Alucard.
The Belmont Clan challenged him a lot of times but the thing is, Dracula loves playing with this clan before showing his full powers. We can say that he’s a hideous individual. If you got Dracula, you like to keep secrets buried deep inside you.
Carmilla
Carmilla is also one of the vampires who was responsible for killing the sister witches of Sypha. She’s also one of the main antagonists. When it comes to scheming in a noble way, Carmilla is a master! She’s known to be an evil and a cruel individual who can strategize things before taking action. With her beauty, she wins the hearts of people but then ends up crushing them. Sounds pretty intense, right?
Her femme fatale side will surely get to you but do remember this vampire’s real face! She’s very skilled when it comes to politics. So, if you got Carmilla, you like to plan things beforehand.
Lenore
This character joined Castlevania pretty late. However, she’s one of the Queens of Styria. She’s definitely reliable and kind. In difficult situations, you can rely on Lenore. She likes to help others and she’s quite honest as well. Lenore believes that everyone who works hard deserves something. Her compassion is worth-appreciating too. If you got Lenore, you love helping out others even if it means to ignore yourself.
Hector
Hector used to be the general of Dracula. Since he was born as the son of an Alchemist, he faced a lot of difficulties. As he grew up he realized that animals are attracted to him. Other kids found this pretty disturbing. Imagine animals being attracted to you and other kids are looking at you like “disgusted”. Even though he’s been portrayed as a naive person, yet he’s stoic. He doesn’t hold onto things, he’s the perfect example of “go with the flow”.
Morana
Morana is one of the queens of Striga. She’s known to be the oldest out of all the Council of Sisters. Guess Morana’s age though. How old does she look? If you don’t know, let me tell you. She’s over a thousand years old. Isn’t that fascinating?
Morana is one of the realistic Queens of Striga. She believes in herself and is the one to keep the Council of Sisters running. Therefore, she’s a good manager. Morana has no compassion for humans. Just like any other vampire, she sees humans as a source of “food”. If you got Morana, you surely aren’t a big fan of humanity, are you? (I’m just kidding)
Isaac
Isaac serves as one of the main antagonists as well. He’s one of the two human generals of Dracula. YES! Dracula, despite being a vampire, has two humans by his side. He’s a very loyal person who highly respects Dracula. His first master traumatized him. How? Well, he treated Isaac very badly.
As a result, Isaac couldn’t stay loyal to him. When he joined hands with Dracula, he started to see the “worth” of his master. Overall, Isaac is cold and ruthless towards humans. He can kill anybody without showing any type of mercy. He’s quite able too! Isaac has a lot of skills including magic.
Conclusion
Castlevania is one of the most interesting anime about vampires, humanity, and otherworldly creatures. If you are into the genre of vampires and different creatures who are fighting one another, you’re going to love this anime. Although it gets a bit political at times too. But it’s fun to see some drama, isn’t it?
