Anyways, Kiyotaka Ayankoji is our main character who isn’t very approachable. He attends Class 1-D, where the inferior students read. He starts getting involved in many affairs of the school. When it comes to diversity of characters, Classroom of the Elite must be on the list. There are a lot more characters in this anime, and we’re going to talk about them one by one. So, without further ado, let’s get started! (SPOILERS ALERT)

CHARACTERS
Kiyotaka Ayankoji
Kiyotaka Ayankoji is the main character in Classroom of the Elite, whose intelligence is unrivaled. He reads in Class 1-D, where the school gathers all of its inferior students. He’s an ordinary student with average grades who don’t really care about anything. Kiyotaka Ayanjkoji is surprisingly good with the history subject as he knows a lot about many historical events. (Classroom of the Elite: Episode 5) He has a unique ability to come up with revolutionary ideas. When it comes to interacting with people, he’s somewhat awkward. He speaks very awkwardly with everyone, making it hard for him to interact with people around him.
Kikyo Kushida
Kikyo Kushida is also one of the main characters in this anime. She is Kiyotaka’s classmate in 1-D. She’s very popular and wants to befriend everyone. When Kikyo came across Honami Ichinose of Class 1-B, she revealed her goal of befriending the whole school. (Classroom of the Elite: Episode 1) When it comes to getting something from the upperclassmen, she tends to use her feminine charms. Kiyotaka aims to get along with Suzune Horikita, who tends to push her away many times. This makes Kiyotaka more than determined to get back at her even stronger.
Kei Karuizawa
Kei Karuizawa is one of the heroines in this anime. She is a student of Class 1-D and is known to be the girls’ leader in the class and is quite good at it. At the very start of the story, she comes off as a spoiled brat who cares only about herself and spends the majority of her time with the girls.
Kei Karuizawa gets really sad and frustrated when she remembers her old days as she was bullied before.She asks Kiyotaka why he doesn’t laugh at her. On top of all that, she called herself a pitiful loser. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Volume 4) Even though she may act tough and headstrong,t the ghosts of her past continue to haunt her.
Arisu Sakayanagi
Arisu Sakayanagi represents Class-A. She was first introduced when Kohei Katsuragi was talking to the Student Council President about the system of school (Classroom of the Elite: Episode 2) She tends to possess a “go with the flow” attitude. She makes it known that how she hates whenever someone talks about their grades or just a random boring topic. Arisu Sakayanagi is known to be quite collected as she doesn’t lose her composure even during the worst situations. Overall she’s an easygoing individual who’s proven to be quite childish at times.
Suzune Horikita
Suzune Horikita is also one of the main characters and is the younger sister of the Student Council President, named Manabu Horikita. She represents Class 1-D and reads in it too. Suzune is a highly intelligent girl who rarely shows any emotions. She’s unbothered by many things but there’s one thing that she can’t stand- injustice. She defended Ken when he was on the verge of being expelled after he ended up failing a test. (Classroom of the Elite: Episode 7) She tends to accept the fact that she’s not approachable and doesn’t have any friends. Overall, she’s a really good individual who wants the best for everyone except for those who look down upon her.
Takuya Yagami
Takuya Yagami is also one of the students at Tokyo Advanced Nurturing High School, and he reads in Class 1-B. Takuya was first introduced when a fight between Kazoumi Hosen and other 2nd year students was going on. (Classroom of the Elite Light Novel: Volume 2) He’s described as a very soft-spoken and kind person who’s also very brave. But again, that side of his personality is just a facade. When faced in a difficult situation, he would lash out to teachers, students, and friends He is determined to take down anyone who stands in his way until he gets what he wants.
Kakeru Ryuen

Airi Sakura
Airi used to be a at student of Advanced Nurturing High School who was in Class 1-D. She’s known to be shy and quiet all the time. She is shy to the degree that she cannot admit anything makes her uncomfortable. She seems to enjoy taking pictures of herself. Taking a lot of pictures made tons of people follow her all over the internet. (Classroom of the Elite: Episode 6) Since our boy, Kiyotaka Ayankoji inspired Airi and advised her, she started to rely more on him and eventually fell for him too.
Akane Tachibana
Akane Tachibana is the secretary of the Student Council who smiles all the time and loves Manabu Horikita. She wants to be like her since her abilities are top-notch. At the very same time, she gets scared of Manabu and tends to get nervous whenever she gets asked about anything.
Akito Miyake

Albert Yamada
Albert Yamada is a giant from Class 1-C who is absolutely loyal to Kakeru Ryuen and is willing to do anything for him. He’s the only character in Classroom of the Elite to talk in English. Yes, he speaks English throughout the anime.
Chiaki Matsushita
Chiaki Matsushita is also one of the students of Class 1-D who’s quiet and has the personality of an older sister. She’s always kind to everyone around her and helps them as well. Although she doesn’t really like making friends. She hasn’t appeared that much in the light novel except for when she was talking to Kikyo and some other fellows. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Volume 1)
Chie Hoshinomiya
Chie is the homeroom teacher. She teaches class 1-B. She’s known to be quite friendly and enjoys drinking. She often appears in the class hungover. Aside from that, she’s quite insightful. For instance, she recognized the potential of Class 1-D students who could level up, and it was none other than Kiyotaka Ayankoji.
Daichi Ishizaki

Fuka Kiryuin
Fuka Kiryuin is a student of Class 3-B, She’s the only student in the whole school to get an A+ on every test, including the physical ones. Fuka might not look like it but she’s highly approachable and she’s the type of person who doesn’t care much about the number of her class or the people around her. She’s just focused on achieving her goal, which is nothing more than the liberty of being able to pick the field she wants to study in the future.
Haruka Hasabe
Haruka Hasabe is probably the most normal student in the school. However, she’s not really open to others. She tends to avoid getting in trouble and prefers keeping her problems to herself. Haruka tends to speak a lot around people she’s comfortable with. She loves teasing her close friends as well. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Volume 1) We all surely need a friend like Haruka around us, who would cheer us up in no time.
Hayato Kito

Hideo Sotomura
Hideo Sotomura is a student of Class 1-D who tends to blend in with the background. He’s often neglected from the main events and doesn’t really participate in many activities. He’s an otaku who loves watching anime and he speaks archaic Japanese to speak with his class-fellows. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Volume 2) Hideo has almost any kind of information regarding anime.
Hiryoa Tokito
Hiroya Tokito is from Class 2-D. He’s the leader of the faction that opposes the parties of Ryuen. He hates Ryuen for acting as the leader all the time and isn’t a big fan of his policies or methods.
Hiyori Shiina
Hiyori Shiina is a loner from Class 1-C. She’s mostly seen spending her time alone and doesn’t smile that often either. She’s always carrying books in her bag in case she meets someone who has a similar taste as her so that they can read the books together. Hiyori is always friendly if someone approaches her, and she does her best to stay out of conflicts. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Short Story)
Honami Ichinose

Ichika Amasawa
Ichika Amasawa is also one of the students at Tokyo Nurturing Advanced School who has a very boisterous personality. She tends to tease everyone who catches her attention and annoys them a lot. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Short Story: “What is Reflected in Ichika Amasawa’s Eyes”) Ichika is the type of person who wouldn’t mind lying about several things. She’s perceptive and can tell what the other person is thinking.
Ikuto Kiriyama
Ikuto Kiriyama is a student of Class 3-B who is the new vice president of the Student Council. Ikuto seems to hold huge respect for the previous presidents of the Student Council and does his best to not disappoint them by performing his duties with full devotion.
Kanji Ike

Katsunori Shiba
Katsunori Shiba is the homeroom teacher of Class 1-D. Not much is known about his personality except for the fact that he’s a homeroom teacher who’s working with Tskishiro to expel Kiyotaka.
Kayano Onodera
Kayano Onodera is one of the students who’s a member of the Swimming Club. She’s known to be one of the best swimmers out of all the girls in her class. She’s a kind-hearted girl who loves making new friends.
Kazuma Sakagami
Kazuma Sakagmi teaches Class 1-C and is quite strict when it comes to creating boundaries. He has an aggressive side to him and he often intimidates students too. For instance, he intimidated Airi Sakura after she was asked to give evidence of a fight.
Kazoumi Hosen

Kokoro Inagashira
Kokoro is a student of Class 1-D who’s a timid girl and tends to stutter while speaking. She gets embarrassed easily and feels bad about herself. Kikyo reassured her that she was going to be fine as long as she took her time to speak. Kokoro was delighted to hear that started believing in Kikyo.
Kyogo Komiya
Kyogo is one of the students of Class 1-C who plays basketball. Not much is known about his personality yet but he tends to work very hard when it comes to basketball. He wants to become a regular player at the Basketball club. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Volume 2)
Kyosuke Okitani
Kyosuke Okitani doesn’t really gett good grades and he’s from class 1-D. He’s known as an idiot since he’s very bad at studying. He came with Kikyo to the study group that was being led by Suzune Horikita.
Manabu Horikita

Masayoshi Hashimoto
Masayoshi is one of the students of Class 1-A who is quite loyal to himself. He doesn’t really care about anyone else except for himself. He always tends to take the side of the winning team in order to stay on top. Masayoshi is a weakling who couldn’t even tolerate the blow of Kakeru and fell on the floor. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Volume 7)
Masumi Kamuro
Masumi Kamuro is an art club student who’s from Class 1-A. She’s often seen hanging out with Arisu Sakayanagi. (Classroom of the Elite: Episode 6) She’s a straightforward individual who isn’t afraid of giving her own opinion. She loves art and shopping as well.
Maya Sato
Maya Sato is also a student of Class 1-D. She appears to be quite friendly and cooperative. The full depths of her personality aren’t known just yet. She’s willing to participate in almost everything. She tends to be attracted to the guys who show off their athletic bodies or powers. After Maya’s done with high school, she aims to become a fashion designer. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Volume 7.5)
Mei Yu Wang

Miki Yamamura
Miki Yamamura is from Class 2-A and is a smart girl. She can’t seem to express her emotions. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Volume 4.5) She seems to rely on Sakayangi to observe Ichika Amasawa.
Minori Kinoshita
Minori Kinoshita is a student of Class 1-C who got injured during the Obstacle Course Race. Minori often gets herself trapped in different problems just for the sake of points that are given to the students.
Mio Ibuki
Mio Ibuki is also a student of Class 1-C who’s not just academically smart yet she’s physically fit too. She’s seen combating often and literally kicking people around. Mio has a vast range of knowledge about martial arts and can fight among many professional martial artists too. She prefers being alone, that’s why we mostly get to see her sitting alone. (Classroom of the Elite: Episode 4) She’s very deceptive and knows whatever move someone’s going to take. So, she’s a complete waifu who’s physically fit and academically smart. Miyabi Nagumo

Nazuna Asahina
Nazuna Asahina is a student of Class 3-A who has rash manners but she’s liked by everyone and holds quite a lot of influence. She’s a playful girl who never forgets to pay her debts back. She tends to judge people very quickly. For instance, she quickly judged Kiyotaka Ayankoji as a flirt. While Kiyotaka was being kind by giving her precious belongings back to her. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Short Story: “That First Year Boy”) Whenever she looks back at this incident, she gets embarrassed and wants to hit herself. Anyways, she is always wearing an amulet, which she thinks brings good luck her way.
Nene Mori
Nene Mori is also one of the students of Class 1-D who is hanging out with Kei Karuizawa and Chiaki. She’s a social girl who loves gathering and hanging out with her people. Nene Mori also hangs out with Haruki, Kanji, and Ken. This trio is also known as the idiot trio. Nene Mori hung out with them in the presence of Kiyotaka, Kikyo, and Yosuke. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Volume 1, Chapter 5)
Professor Ayankoji
Professor Ayankoji is the father of Kiyotaka who’s the founder of the White Room and controls it too. He’s an old man in his 40s with endless determination. Professor Ayankoji never really had any special talent yet he still had a fighting spirit. He’s known as a commoner who never graduated from any university or had any athletic spirit. However, he ended up establishing the White Room where unnecessary things were removed from their education. His ultimate goal includes creating a generation that will lead Japan in the distant future. (Classroom of the Elite: Light Novel: Volume 11) He’s a minimalist who doesn’t really interact with his son often.
Reo Kondo

Rika Morofuji
Rika Morofuji is from Class 1-C who was first introduced along with her friends Shiho Manabi, Nanami, and Saki who were having an argument with Karuizawa. Shiho was annoyed by the reluctant behaviour of Karuizawa. She wanted Karuizawa to apologize to her for shoving her inside the cafe.
Riku Utomiya
Riku Utomiya is one of the first-year students who’s a student of Class 1-C. Riku seems to have the calmest personality, he speaks very softly with other people. Riku doesn’t like people using violence to get things they truly want. Even though he seems to have high physical abilities, he still doesn’t abuse anyone.
Rokusuke Koenji
Rokusuke Koenji is one of the students in Class 1-D who comes from a family of scholars. He ended up in Class D for his prideful behaviour. Everybody knows Rokusuke as an egotistical individual. He’s an overconfident guy who highly believes in his abilities. Rokusuke has a sarcastic nature too, he doesn’t respect elders too. For instance, he didn’t stand up from his seat, even though an old lady was standing next to him. (Classroom of the Elite: Episode 1) This character is a red flag for sure.
Ryotaro Hondo

Ryuji Kanazaki
Ryuji Kanazaki represents Class 1-B. He’s a responsible representative and makes sure to stay alert all the time. He’s a hard-working individual who would do anything for his class. He’s very intellectual and perceptive too.
Takeko Nishino
Takeko Nishino is a student of Class 2-B, she’s the type of person who would speak her mind without hesitating. She’s very straightforward and honest, although she stays alone most of the time.
Yuki Himeno
Yuki Himeno is from Class 2-C and not much is known about her just yet. She has violet hair that is tied up in twintails. She wears the basic school uniform.
Yukitsu Kusuda

Yume Kobashi
Yume Kobashi is a student of Class 1-B who’s a small girl. She’s one of the background characters. So, not much is known about her.
Yosuke Hirata
Yosuke Hirata is also from Class 1-D, he’s an active member of the soccer club. When it comes to his personality, he’s very mature and friendly. Everyone loves being around Yosuke because of his positive vibes. Yosuke Hirata is a thoughtful individual who’s always careful with his words and steps that he takes. He just doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Yosuke also has leadership and diplomatic skills, we get to see such skills in his survival test. Being an athlete corrects your discipline and makes you a good leader too. So, being in the soccer club taught him a lot of things.
CONCLUSION
Classroom of the Elite is a really unique anime with the concept of learning moral values as the superiors create a generation that will hold the future of Japan. There’s a diversity of characters in this anime and every character plays a certain role with unique abilities embedded in them.
