Chainsaw Man is one of the most talked-about anime shows this 2022 due to the popularity of its manga ever since its release. Just from a couple of episodes that have previously aired, we were already introduced to different devil powers that the characters possess and one of them is, of course, the Chainsaw Devil.

As for this time, we’re gonna turn on the spotlight to more Devils and their powers which you will encounter as you progress through the series of Chainsaw Man!

DEVIL POWERS FROM CHAINSAW MAN!!
26. Grape Devil
We start off with the Grape Devil who is simply just a minor one in the series. It is a devil that represents the fear of grapes. It takes on the appearance of several eyeballs that are connected to each other with its veins making it look similar to a figure of a grape. Unfortunately, the Devil is already killed in the series by the Violence Fiend (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 56).
25. Octopus Devil
The Octopus Devil is the manifestation of fear when it comes to octopuses and it also takes the form of huge tentacles. Hirofumi Yoshida is a Devil Hunter who made a contract with the said Devil and has also demonstrated its capabilities. Just like a normal octopus, the Octopus Devil has the ability to spit out ink clouds as a smokescreen which can help stall enemies and even restrain them from their movements by using its tentacles. This was shown in Hiromi’s fight against Qanxi (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 61).
24. Ghost Devil
The Ghost Devil is something that came right out of a Junji Ito manga due to its horrifying look. It has the appearance of a female face with flowers covering its whole body and has several arms as its legs. The Ghost Devil is known to have formed a contract with Himeno who is also a Devil Hunter. By offering one of Himeno’s eyes, she is able to use the Ghost Devil’s hand as part of their contract (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 15).
23. Spider Devil
The Spider Devil is one of Tokyo Special Division’s Devil Hunters and she is the manifestation of fear towards spiders. She also goes by the name of Princi. For her upper body, she has the look of a normal female but her lower part consists of eight legs similar to a spider’s but can actually be deadly enough to pierce through flesh.
Despite being a Devil, she is very kind towards humans and addresses them with polite manners. One of her unique abilities is the zipper across her face; she can use this by unzipping and teleporting Makima to her location instantly (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 66).
22. Tomato Devil
If you’ve watched the first episode of the anime, then you might be familiar with the Tomato Devil. Just like its name, it takes the form of a giant tomato but with giant eyes around its body and several arms as its feet. Sadly, we won’t get to see more of this guy since it was easily killed by Denji and Pochita.
It is also said that one of its abilities is Seed Revival meaning the Devil can be revived again. But since Denji knew of this, he told his boss to burn the seeds so they not resurrect again (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 1).
21. Stone Devil
Next is the Stone Devil which takes on the appearance of a gargoyle statue with a bat’s face and dragon-like wings. The Devil Hunter who made a contract with it is Kusakabe and he was able to use the Stone Devil’s ability by forming a circle with his hand and blowing through it causing his enemies to turn into stone (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 59).
20. Bomb Devil
The Bomb Devil is a Devil that fused with the human, Reze. She is one of the major antagonists in Chainsaw Man and her goal is to steal the protagonist’s heart. Just like Denji, her appearance also changes when she activates the power of the Bomb Devil with her face transforming into a nuclear bomb.
Obviously, her abilities as the Bomb Devil always involve explosions and destruction. She can create explosions just by touching another object just like when she briefly fought against Beam (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 45). She can even transform some of her body parts into explosive bombs and can regenerate after losing a part!

19. Zombie Devil
The Zombie Devil is one of the first Devils introduced in Chainsaw Man. It appeared in the first chapter of the series as one of Denji’s enemies. It is known to have forged a contract with the Yakuza that Denji works for and after their betrayal, they sought to kill Denji.
Just like what the zombies from Hollywood movies do, one of the Zombie Devil’s abilities is to turn humans into zombies which means he can possibly create an army of one if he wants to (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 1).
18. Snake Devil
The Snake Devil is a weird-looking creature due to its snake-like body and arms that act as its teeth. Akane Sawatari is the human that the Snake Devil has a contract by offering her fingernails to be able to use the Devil’s powers.
Its ability is that the Snake Devil can devour any Devils and can even revive them after spitting them out. She can even manage to gain control of other Devils with this power just like what she did to the Ghost Devil (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 34).
17. Crossbow Devil
Another hybrid is the Crossbow Devil where she merged with the Devil Hunter, Quanxi. She is also known for being the First Devil Hunter in the series. When she transforms, Quanxi’s face turns into a bow with arrows covering her neck and arms.
Obviously, one of the Crossbow Devil’s abilities is shooting arrows from her body. But her arrows are not just average ones since they can literally pierce through anything it hits creating a hole with a perfect circle (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 67).
16. Punishment Devil
The Punishment Devil is one that is briefly shown in the series during the Gun Devil Arc. Not much is known about its abilities, but it takes the form of connected human bodies each holding a weapon of its own. They appear from a large mouth which is also made up of humanoid figures when they were used against the Gun Devil (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 76).
15. Angel Devil
The Angel Devil is one of the Tokyo Special Division’s Devil Hunters. Just from the name itself, he takes on the form of an angel with wings and a halo above his head. Due to his appearance, he doesn’t seem to be a threat to other people and is also known for being a laid-back type of guy.
Its unique power is that she can create weapons from her halo in exchange for the lifespans she has collected. Not only that, but her wings are actually not just there for show because it can function as an effective shield against bullets. The downside is that she still feels pain due to the wings being connected to her body (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 34).
14. Hell Devil
The Hell Devil is a powerful being that represents fear towards Hell. It has a contract with Santa Claus offering 3 children and one of her dolls. It takes on an appearance similar to a centaur’s while covered in flames.
One of its known abilities is called Devil Connection where a giant hand with six fingers get summoned from the sky and can bring anyone it wants to Hell in an instant (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 63).
13. Violence Devil
Violence Devil is a type of Fiend who is a member of Tokyo Special Division’s Devil Hunters and goes by the name of Galgali. Since Fiends are known as Devils who took over dead humans, this one has the appearance of a male with a plague mask. Ironically, even though Galgali is a Devil related to violence, this guy is very courteous to other people and treats them with respect.
One of Galgali’s Devil Powers is that he can enhance his own body into a muscular version making it more stronger and powerful. He does this by taking his mask off revealing his 4 eyes (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 65).
12. War Devil
The War Devil is another Fiend who goes by the name Yoru after taking over the dead body of Asa Mitaka. She’s also a major antagonist in the series and a part of the Four Horsemen. As the War Devil, Yoru can convert any humans into weapons, and the stronger the guilt she feels, the stronger the weapon will be.
One example of this is when Yoru converted the spinal cord of Asa’s teacher and took the form of a sword with the teacher’s head as the sword’s cross-guard (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 98).
11. Shark Devil
The Shark Devil is a Fiend and goes by the name of Beam. He is a Devil Hunter and a part of the Tokyo Special Division. Initially, his face has an appearance of a snout of a shark with a fan over his head and when he goes into full transformation, his whole body turns into a shark with several fins which can also be used as legs.
When it comes to his combat abilities, he is known to be weak compared to other Devils, but his unique skill is that he can swim on any object even if there is no water (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 34).

10. Gun Devil
Next is the powerful Gun Devil who is one of the strongest antagonists in Chainsaw Man. It is known to have a contract with the United States President by offering 1 year of lifespan from every US citizen. The Gun Devil is known to possess a wide variety of guns. The gun on his head is the most powerful one since it can destroy several structures in just one shot.
Eventually, the Gun Devil became a Fiend by taking over the dead body of Aki Hayakawa and causing him to become drastically weaker than before (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 77).
9. Katana Devil
The Katana Devil or Katana Man is another hybrid just like Denji and is revealed to be the grandson of Denji’s traitorous Yakuza boss and is now out to kill him for revenge. As for his transformation, the Katana Man emerges sword from its arms and head. It’s similar to Denji’s situation as Chainsaw Man but only changes the chainsaws to swords.
Just from his title as the Katana Man, he is known for being very skilled with swords and is able to fight toe-to-toe against Denji (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 26).
8. Cosmos Devil
The Cosmos Devil is another Fiend who is the girlfriend of Quanxi, the user of the Crossbow Devil. Cosmo’s strength depends on the fear that people feel when it comes to the universe and one of her powers as a Devil is that she can trap her target’s mind into another dimension that looks like a library. She can then somehow hypnotize them into thinking “Halloween” all the time until they meet their deaths (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 70).
7. Eternity Devil
The Eternity Devil is the manifestation of fear towards eternity. It takes the form of giant teeth and is made up of pure flesh. One of its powers is that it creates an area to become infinite. Just like the time when Denji’s Division was stuck on a floor of the building they’re in. Aside from being able to create its own infinite reality, it can even stop time in a certain area (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 15).
6. Doll Devil
The Doll Devil has an unidentified physical appearance, and its existence was only shown by taking over a Devil Hunter’s body named Tolka. It also became a temporary ally along with Santa Claus until Tolka’s body was taken by the Hell Devil after making a contract with Santa Claus.
With its title as the Doll Devil, it can create dolls made out of humans and can even use them as killing machines. (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 59).
5. Darkness Devil
The Darkness Devil is a Devil that is contracted with Santa Claus and is composed of human bodies. Not much is known when it comes to the Devil’s personality other than its berserk nature. Since this is the Darkness Devil we’re talking about, of course it has the power to control and manipulate darkness in his own will. It can turn an area become covered in darkness and can also create a dark sword called the Blade of Darkness (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 65).
4. Curse Devil
The Curse Devil is a Devil known to have a contract with Aki Hayakawa and takes the form of 2 skulls with large ribcages. It only goes into action if its user stabs its target with a Cursed Spike and yells “Fire” triggering its appearance. This was once used when Aki summoned the Curse Devil to defeat Katana Man in exchange for his lifespan since that is part of his contract with the Devil (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 24).
3. Blood Devil
The Blood Devil is a Fiend who also goes by the name of Power and is one of the first characters introduced in Chainsaw Man. Power is also a part of Special Division 4 aka Makima’s squad. As the Blood Devil, Power can create her weapons by using her own blood or the blood of other people. This was first seen in her fight against the Sea Cucumber Devil by creating a hammer made out of blood and squashing the Devil in an instant (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 5).
2. Control Devil
The Control Devil is one of the strongest Devils in Chainsaw Man who also goes by the identity of Makima. Makima is the head of Special Division 4 which consists of the main characters such as Denji, Power, and Aki.
As the Control Devil, she is a manipulative person, and you can easily tell it just from her way of giving orders to Denji. She can also control some kind of force that allows her to do anything to her enemies. One example is when she formed a gun with her fingers and simply said “Bang” to Power killing her instantly in the process (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 81).
1. Chainsaw Devil
The Chainsaw Devil is a Devil that merged with the main character, Denji, making him the Chainsaw Man. Initially, the Chainsaw Devil takes on the form of a small creature named Pochita and after they were ambushed by the Yakuza and his zombies, Pochita merged himself with Denji who is about to meet his death.
Denji’s Devil Powers can be activated by pulling on the string on his chest which allows him to use the Chainsaw Devil’s powers. His appearance also changes by having chainsaws emerge from his arms while his face also takes the form of a chainsaw with monstrous teeth (Chainsaw Man Manga, Chapter 1).
CONCLUSION
And so it looks like this will be it when it comes to the Devils you can encounter in the series, Chainsaw Man along with their respective powers! You may have already seen some of these Devils in the anime, but there is more to come in the next episodes so be sure to keep track of them!
