Nene Kinokuni
Sixth Seat of the Elite Ten, Nene is well versed in Japanese cuisine, specializing in Soba.

She’s a hard worker who believes in dedication and effort. She grew up knowing Isshiki, hating how carefree he is and how naturally talented he is.

Alice Nakiri
Alice is a part of the Nakiri family, making her Erina’s cousin and the Headmaster’s granddaughter.
She’s known as the “Global Innovator” or the “Heaven Sent Child of Molecular Gastronomy,” using all the latest technology to produce dishes that weren’t thought possible.
Like her Cousin, Alice is entitled and stubborn but more sociable and cheerier.

Soumei Saitou
Fifth Seat of the Elite Ten, Saitou lives by the way of the samurai, leading the sushi industry.
He’s a strong but humble opponent as honor is the samurai’s most important virtue.
Saitou wields maguro bōchō blade Isanakiri with great pride and skill.

Jun Shiomi
A former Elite Ten member, Jun is an expert spice researcher.
She’s very childlike in personality and leans on Hayama for many responsibilities of adulthood so that she can spend all of her efforts on researching spices.
She’s Hayama’s mother figure and puts his wellbeing at the top of her priorities.
Erina Nakiri
Arrogant powerhouse within the culinary world and the story’s heroine, Erina wields the “god-tongue” like a mighty hammer.
Growing up tasting and judging food with her palate “God’s Tongue,” Erina lost her love for cooking but has her reasons to aim for the top.
Erina is a heavily pampered snob who grew up only knowing the best in life. She’s feared among her peers and revered by most, as she belittles them, with her godly palate ”God’s Tongue”.

Eishi Tsukasa
The White Knight of the Table, Eishi is an extremely talented chef though he can be pessimistic, leading him to a depressive state at times.
His skill puts him at the top of Tōtsuki as the first seat of the elite ten, earning him great respect and admiration among his peers.
Not placing himself in his dishes, Eishi maximizes the flavor of each ingredient, focusing on it to the degree that he’s said to be able to communicate with them.
Kojiro Shinomiya
Former First Seat of the Elite Ten, Kojiro was the first Japanese chef to receive the Pluspol medal in France for his restaurant Shino’s. These accomplishments earned him the title “Légumes Magician.”
Kojiro can be quite spiteful and harsh but that comes from bad experiences with French chefs and food critics, so he learned to harden himself and trust only in himself and his recipes.

Gin Dojima
A former First Seat of the Elite ten and holder of Tōtsuki’s highest graduation score, Gin Dojima is now the General Head Chef & Board of Directors for the Tōtsuki Resort.
Gin is somewhat of a backstage puppet master, as he influences many events of the show.
Gin has a strong sense of duty and has great leadership skills.

Satoshi Isshiki
The seventh seat of the Elite ten, Satoshi is a master of traditional Japanese cuisine. He’s the Polar Star’s senpai and cares for his fellow members.
Isshiki is far from shy and could easily be given the title “the laughing naked chef” as he often cooks naked and lightens the mood with his cheerful laughter.
Ikumi Mito
A lot like Erina, Ikumi was raised in a notable house. Known as the “Meat Master,” from a young age, Ikumi had a lot of pressure and expectations placed on her with no time to grow up as a normal child.
This made her arrogant and mean, leading her to team up with the likes of Erina and Hisako.
After losing a “food war,” she leaves Erina’s side, as well as some of her arrogance, and joins Don RS, a Donburi Research Society.

Terunori Kuga
Eight Seat of the Elite Ten, Kuga specializes in Chinese cuisine with a focus on schezwan dishes.
Kuga is loud, happy, and loves teasing people. He’s the president of the Chinese Cuisine RS. His goal is to beat Eishi in a Food War and climb the culinary ladder.

Akira Hayama
The master of spices! Akira possesses the amazing ability to cook accurately, especially with spices, with his extraordinary sense of smell and mastery of aroma.
Hayama was living in poverty when he was discovered by a former elite ten, Jun Shiomi, who realized his potential and brought him to Tōtsuki.
Hayama is calm and seldomly loses composure, is confident in his ability but works hard to help Jun explore her passion for spices.
Isami Aldini
Takumi’s younger brother, Isami is a peaceful guy but a fierce chef. Along with his brother, he forms the best chef tag-team known in the culinary world.
He’s often seen laughing or dragging his brother away when Takumi embarrasses himself. He’s a lot like Hisako, in that he’s devoted to supporting his brother however he can.
His ability earned him the nickname: Explorer of Horizons.
Takumi Aldini
Growing up in a diner, like Yukihira, Takumi Aldini announces himself as Yukihira’s rival, challenging him at every turn.
Takumi is a talented chef, specializing in Italian cuisine. Wielding his mezzaluna as a weapon Takumi earned the name “Pioneer in the World of Food.”
He can be clumsy and hot-headed, but Takumi is an extremely loyal ally that delivers when depended on.

Momo Akanegakubo
Momo’s a trendsetter on social media that loves everything cute. She decided to use her cuteness could best be expressed in sweets, so she headed to Tōtsuki.
She’s cocky and competitive, looking down on most as she holds the Fourth Seat in the Elite Ten.
September
Etsuya Eizan
The ninth seat of the Elite Ten, Eizan serves as a thug and a master planner, that along with his cooking talents earned him the name “The Alchemist”
He’s a trickster that holds a grudge and doesn’t back down from a fight.
October
Hisako Arato
Erina’s right hand, Hisako, acts as her secretary and devotes all her efforts to Erina.
She’s very protective and stubborn. She’s happy to follow and stay in Erina’s shadow, making sure that her light shines brighter than anyone else’s.
She’s a very capable chef that’s an expert in Medicinal cuisine, making meals that have healing properties.

Rindou Kobayashi
Second seat of the Elite Ten. Exploring the world to discover new flavors and techniques, Rindou specializes in exotic ingredients, earning her the name “The Brave Barbarian Rindou-Senpai”
She’s extremely sociable and often comes off carefree, only caring about having fun.
Rindou uses her influence as the second seat to eradicate poachers and protect endangered species.
November
Sōma Yukihira
The story’s main protagonist, Yukihira is a proud chef from a family-owned diner, popular in the local community. Determined to train under his father’s guidance, Yukihira sees no reason to leave the diner after high school.
It isn’t until his father pressures him to join Tōtsuki, a prestigious culinary Academy, that Yukihira realizes that his father isn’t the only one he has to surpass.
Yukihira is an energetic, carefree teenager who cares about his peers and will accept any Food War challenge to improve his cooking.
Megumi Tadokoro
A timid, thoughtful, and kind girl from a harbor town, Megumi was about to drop out of Tōtsuki when Yukihira came into her life.
After teaming up with Yukihira the carefree chef, Megumi manages to find her own courage and bloom, impressing many top chefs in the culinary world, like Kojirō Shinomiya the Légumes Magician
Megumi has a great development, from being a clumsy character who depends on others to becoming a strong independent chef who holds her own.
