Satoru Fujinuma
Satoru Fujinuma is the protagonist in the series. He is a struggling manga artist and in order to make ends meet, he also works as a delivery man. He possesses a weird power called revival which enables him to go time travel before a devastating incident occurs.
This power helps him to avoid these incidents that could lead to loss of lives and also save people. After being falsely accused of his mother’s death, he had to go back in time to solve the mystery of a similar murder.
Kayo Hinazuki
Kayo is one of Gaku Yashiro’s victims, she is one of the victims of the original kidnapping and killing. She is a primary school classmate of Satoru, and while in school she was a loner with no friends due to her upbringing in an abusive household.
When Satoru returned to the past to save her from dying, they become close as she starts opening up to him, she also develops a relationship with his mother.

Airi Katagiri
Airi is Satoru Fujinuma’s work colleague. She is quite outspoken and brash at times but she is also friendly. The high school student is quite smart, being able to figure out that something was odd about Satoru being able to save multiple people from death.
She is the epitome of loyalty, even after Satoru was accused of murder, she believed him, advised him, and even hid him in her house

Gaku Yashiro
Yashiro Gaku seems to be a kind and charismatic teacher, however, this is all a farce as he is later revealed to be the antagonist and murderer.
Gaku is a brilliant psychopath skilled in the art of manipulation, he has a penchant for murder. The teacher is a patient man as he spends time planning his kills, he ensures that all the right conditions are met so that the murders can’t be traced back to him.

Sachiko Fujinuma
Sachiko is the mother of the protagonist – Satoru Fujinuma. She worked as a news announcer before her death, she is a kind and caring woman. She built a relationship with Kayo, treating her like her own daughter, due to the bond she shares with her son, she is always able to read his thoughts.
Sachiko is a strong-willed woman, overcoming several obstacles to get to her position in life. When Satoru was in a coma, she took care of him every day for the next 14 years.
Kenya Kobayashi
He is a primary school classmate of Satoru Fujinuma. As a kid, he was quite sharp for his age, being observant enough to notice changes in Satoru, especially how mature he had become after going back in time.
He also noticed Kayo’s poor home condition even though he did nothing about it. Kenya Kobayashi is a calm person, preferring to think things through rather than acting recklessly. He feels like he is superior to others and this only changed after becoming friends with Satoru’s group. As an adult, he grew up to become a lawyer.
