At first, like Asta, Evans is happy that he got into the academy, however, he realizes that things aren’t easy as they look. Becoming Death Scythe is not an easy job. Similarly, becoming the Wizard King is not an easy job. Both main characters are trying to achieve what it takes to become the next big thing.
For that, they’ll have to put themselves through constant training, and their potential is not limited in any way! Soul Eater has a beautiful story and epic action. So, grab your drinks, and let’s get the party started.
26. Naruto
Naruto and Asta? They are probably the same person but in a different universe. The resemblance is uncanny! Naruto and Asta are suffering from the same disease. The lack of acknowledgment and public hate.
Naruto has the 9 tails inside and similarly, Asta has devil powers. People are intimidated to the point where they want both of these protagonists gone! And what could be more similar when we talk about the ambitions. Naruto wants to become his village’s Hokage, and when it comes to Asta, he’s all about becoming the wizard king.
Both Naruto and Black Clover are the same as both MCs turned their adversities into their strengths. No matter how much Asta and Naruto were disgusted, they used the opposition as the driving force. Trust me, this isn’t your normal storyline. Plus you get to see some beautiful girls in both series. BEAT IT!

Seems like a lot of Anime nowadays just love to disgust the main characters. But there’s some light at the end of the tunnel. Midoriya from My Hero Academia lived in a world where everyone had quirks. Everyone but him. That’s a bummer. Similar to Asta where he doesn’t have any magic despite living in a world full of magic, this series is no joke!

24. Demon Slayer
When we talk about demons, Demon Slayer has to be on the list. Tanjiro Kamado has been one of the most popular characters in recent times. Aside from all the ranting, he does, and I know it seems like Eren’s reference, Tanjiro has consistently shown us how hard work is everything in life.
First of all, his family getting destroyed by demons, then his beloved sister becoming a demon. But was it enough to make him give up? Hell no! Just like Asta, Tanjiro is working to face the adversity one way or the other. Even when the whole Demon Slayer council wanted to kill his little sister, Tanjiro wanted to prove everyone wrong.
Nezuko, his little sister is Tanjiro’s main motivation, and to achieve his goals, that is, to recover Nezuko, he can literally go as far as to sacrifice his own life for saving his little sister. And OH MY GOD! Don’t even get me started with the animation and fight scenes. Demon Slayer, has hands down, one of the most interesting, unique, and beautiful fighting scenes we’ve ever seen!
23. Little Witch Academia
For all the tough ladies out there, we have Little Witch Academia on our list. Revolving around girls, this series is heavily inspired by the “Harry Potter” series. Even though Atsuko is able to perform magical tricks unlike Asta, the main similarity is that both characters can’t execute them properly.
The struggle part, mixed with an exquisite essence of character development is what makes both of these Anime similar to each other.
22. The Sever Deadly Sins
What is an action Anime but a bunch of main guys facing thousands of troubles? Seven Deadly Sins is pretty much similar to Black Clover in a plethora of ways. Revolving around heroes that are there to save the world from bad guys, it couldn’t get any more similar.
But what excites me the most is talking about how many characters we’re having in the series. Revolving around “Seven Deadly Sins,” these heroes just wanted to save the world. However, the government won’t let them live, will they? Meliodas and Asta are both overpowered. Even though Asta wasn’t shown to have any talent initially, we can see the resemblance striking when it’s about raw strength.
Both are basically bosses when it comes to having the hand to hand combat. The sheer hard work is intimidating.
21. One Piece
Even if you haven’t watched Black Clover, I feel like every Otaku out there should watch One Piece. It’s literally the best and most popular Anime out there. And that’s not my personal experience, folks. The numbers speak for themselves. Relevant to this day, One Piece has something different to offer on the table for us.
Both main characters are loud, annoying, and plain stupid. However, when it comes to moving against the current, they are experts. Luffy from One Piece is a pirate. Known to be one of the deadliest and most intimidated ones, we know that the government is messed up.
Like Asta, Luffy cares about his friends more than anything. They both won’t mind wreaking havoc when it comes to saving their friends.
20. Bleach
I have to say. Friendship is everything. Asta is heavily inspired by Ichigo from Bleach. The series didn’t live up to the height. But that’s just my unpopular opinion. Ichigo shows us how important friends are in our lives. If you aren’t able to do something alone, that’s where your friends come in. And, my nakamas, the series is full of ups and downs.
Similar to Asta, Ichigo has got infinite hate from the people he’s working for. That includes the higher-ups as well. Asta is known to be the devil, and Ichigo has been bashed for being the irregular shinigami. Both series include emotional scenes, however, the badass action will fill you up with joy. So, sit back and relax, grab some popcorns, cause this is going to be a bumpy ride.
19. Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic
Magi will never disappoint us if we talk about being on par with Black Clover. Revolving around magic and the same ol’ “HATING THE MAIN CHARACTER” type of stuff, this fantasy Anime should be more than enjoyable for the Black Clover fans.
Aladdin, the MC from Magi is on the hunt to become the king of their world, basically conquering the world. Similar to what Asta is up to in Black Clover, Aladdin’s passion is similar to Asta’s motivation. Talk about being badass, and Aladdin is there to surprise everyone.

WE are WAITING FOR HUNTER X HUNTER TO COME BACK! I mean, guys, seriously, how many people were left in awe without knowing the true capabilities of anyone. Gon, the protagonist from Hunter x Hunter is as lost as Asta. Both are in the process of finding themselves, but one thing is for sure, they both are infinitely motivated.
Gon and Asta care about their friends more than anything. And deep down, they both are working to become the best version of themselves. Talking about bit more about the series, Hunter x Hunter has unrivaled action and animation. There are a plethora of characters to idolize. And most of all, the brutality is shown in Hunter x Hunter makes it one of the most enjoyable yet intimidating Anime like Black Clover.
17. UQ Holder
In UQ Holder, it’s all about magic. Similar to Black Clover, the world in this series revolves around magic. Basically, it’s the building block of this universe. See the resemblance? Touta Konoe is just as goofy as Asta. Both characters are struggling their way to be the best. TO BE ON THE TOP OF THAT MOUNTAIN THEY’RE AIMING FOR!
The anime is full of action slash adventure, and if you liked Black Clover, you’ll love UQ Holder. That’s my take on this series.
16. World trigger
The world of WORLD TRIGGER revolves around an unusual kid named Yuma. At the first glance, you might think he’s just another ordinary kid. But that’s now the case. Unlike Asta, Yuma is too overpowered to be on in their universe. Not as stupidly overpowered as Saitama from One Punch Man, but it is what it is.
Yuma faced adversity in a different way. All higher-ups and people from their departments treat him differently just because he’s overpowered. In addition to that, Asta and Yuma have unusual powers that they themselves don’t know. Talk about being brutally similar. Both protagonists are on the hunt to find their purpose in life. So, if you enjoy an overpowered version of Black Clover, you can always count on World Trigger.
15. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
In the mecha genre, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is probably the most popular one out there. If you’re coming from Black Clover, you might miss that beautiful artwork and fighting scenes. The storyline itself is so interesting that it keeps the fans entertained.
Just like Black Clover, you are going to look at one of the finest animations with awesome fighting scenes. The main character has the same vibes as Asta. Losing hope? That does not exist here. Just look at the eyes of Simon from the Tengen Toppa series, don’t you see that tough demeanor? The resemblance is uncanny.

Glen Radars is the laziest magic sense you’ll ever see. That reminds me of someone from the Black Clover series. I’ll give you 5 seconds, think about it!

13. The Legend Of The Legendary Heroes
The Legend Of The Legendary Heroes incorporates alpha stigmas who are the magicians that can use all properties of magic. Seems interesting, right? However, they are hated by people who think that the Alpha Stigmas are destructive.
When we think about the hate factor, Asta is always hated for not having any magic. Even after he joined the Black Bulls, the devil believer arc explains it very well. In other words, both anime’s characters always get hate for whatever they do.
12. Toaru Majutsu no Index
Toaru Majutsu no Index revolves around the magical fantasy world that includes some of the most beautiful action scenes we’ve seen in a while. While the animation might not be on par with what Black Clover has to offer, it’s not as terrible as Seven Deadly Sins. ALRIGHT, GUYS! It’s a joke, it’s a joke.
Touma from the series is probably the most similar to Asta as he can use ANTI MAGIC powers in a world full of a magician. Receiving a lot of hate for being so unique, the world just wouldn’t let this bad boy live. But Touma is no slouch either. He knows when to flip out!
11. Shokugeki no Souma
Becoming the wizard king? HELL NO. The magic chef? HELL YEAH. While the Anime is not directly comparable to Black Clover, Souma from Shokugeki no Souma share similar traits. They both are losing at one moment, and in the other, they magically start to win.
When we talk about fighting and becoming the best, Asta and Souma are all up for badass action. It’s almost like they are horny for all that hard work. But that’s not the focus here. If you love food, which, by the way, everyone loves, you would love the series.
10. Haikyuu!
Haikyuu teaches us the importance of teamwork and loyalty. I was just watching Haikyuu the other day and it reminded me of how similar Hinata and Asta are. Like, they literally rhyme with each other. If it’s the loudness contest, I’m sure these two will be formidable action.
Hinata is always motivated with a sense of goal in his mind. That’s what Asta is. Becoming the best volleyball player along with his team, the sheer determination can make your legs shake. And especially if you’re a sports Anime fan, Haikyuu will not only show you the best action, but it will teach you the importance of hard work and determination as a whole.
9. Quanzhi Fashi
On the deeper level, Quanzhi Fashi and Black Clover have a lot in common. Starting from the story itself to the main characters, both have excellent character development.
Hence, if you need something similar to Black Clover while sticking to the magic genre, Quanzhi Fashi might be your cup of tea.
Both Asta and Mo Fan are considered useless in the anime. They worked up their way, and now they’re struggling to become the best. Not letting other people’s opinions faze them, Mo Fan and Asta are motivated to the core. And I’m not talking about the usual Gary Vee type of motivation. OKAY, I’m kidding once again.
But seriously though, if you’re all about badass action and gradual character development. Quanzhi Fashi is an excellent series to watch.
8. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry
Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry revolves around the main character who is considered a failure. Ikki Kurogane is overpowered in reality, however, due to the lack of a specific ability, he is considered worthless or a misfit in the timeline. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry is one of the best anime like Black Clover that you can watch right now.
Both main characters have swords as the primary weapon, and both are suffering from a lack of recognition. In reality, both Asta and Ikki are powerful enough to shake the world. But the discrimination is real. If you care about interesting scenes mixed with the best action, this series might be the best mini Anime series you’ll watch to this date
7. Owari no Seraph
Owari No Seraph is ideal for Black Clover fans. The reasons? Well, first of all, they are both published by the same publisher: Shueisha. Secondly, the main characters are all about putting their best shot to fight the resistance. While Black Clover is more about Magic, Owari No Seraph revolves around demons and Vampires.
Another excellent similarity incorporates the fact that both characters an adoptive brother that are… Alright. I won’t spoil anything. Just enjoy the series.
6. Yuukoku no Moriarty
Yuukoku no Moriarty is another excellent example of the perfect main character development. The whole anime revolves around classifying powers, and how the average citizen gets stomped by the powerful. Being so engulfed in this discriminated world, the main characters are trying their best to change this unfair trend.
Both stories have the same building point. In Yuukoku no Moriarty, nobles act superior and make the weak work for him. Moreover, the main characters are also an average human being, making a similar storyline. So what more can resemble here? Nobles stomping Asta for being a peasant? Damn, our boy Asta has seen a lot of rough times too.
5. Kingdom
Kingdom and Black Clover incorporate the two main characters who are fighting to become the best version of themselves. Now, I’ve said this line like million times in my videos. But once you start watching Kingdom, you get an idea of what “being ideal version” means.
It means fighting infinite enemies with unmatched struggles to achieve what the Mcs want. Ri Shin, the warrior who’s extremely hot-headed like Asta, is out there to rule his army. Along with his brother, Ri Shin is fighting to be on top of the world.
4. Break Blade
If you’re into the mecha genre, this is another excellent anime like Black Clover. It just offers so much action and sick animation that other anime won’t. Break Blade has a great story that revolves around war, unmatched fighting scenes, and most of all, that sleek character design just blows everyone’s minds away.
Arrow and Asta are suffering from the same cause. No magical powers. Even without the natural talent, do you think these badass people will stop? Hell no. Just watch them as they become the GOATs.
3. Yuu Yuu Hakusho
Yuu Yuu Hakusho is one of the classics out there. Not your usual trash, this Anime has hands down, one of the best action scenes out there. Yuusuke is the main protagonist of this series.
Similar to Asta, he’s started from the bottom, and now he’s here. Where? Paving their way to come upon a recognizable level where the whole world starts admiring them. Or, maybe not. Cause there are so many plot twists in Yuu Yuu Hakusho.
But trust me, you won’t regret watching this badass of a series.
2. Saint Seiya
Saint Seiya has one of the most unique aesthetics. While it may seem too BRIGHT, the story isn’t. Not your usual cookie-cutter action series where the story is linear.
The Gemini Saga is very much like Squad Captains from Black Clover. Saint Seiya has knights just like in Black Clover. The difference is that these knights are saints but Black Clover has magical knights. You’ll occasionally say ‘MADDA MADDA’ from the main character’s mouth and it gives the same vibes!
But I’m sure that Pegasus Seiya isn’t as annoying as Asta.
1. Fire Force
It’s always enjoyable to see our MCs working hard to achieve what they want in life. It’s an ongoing anime with a lot of similarities when it comes to Black Clover. Action? Adventure? Uniqueness? You name it, Fire Force has everything.
When you watch Fire Force, the whole friendly environment makes it rather similar to Black Clover. And it really surpasses Black Clover in many ways! A must watch, I must say.
