AMAZING GUNDAM COSPLAYS!!

15. Gundam Mk II

gundam mk2

Cosplayer name: mineralblue

Now we introduce first the Gundam Mk II from the series, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Originally, the characteristics of the Mk II is mostly covered by dark colors making the Mobile Suit look more menacing and intimidating but after it was stolen by an organization, they changed its color scheme to a lighter tone. The design of the Mk II is almost similar to its predecessor’s design, the RX-78-2. The only difference is the coloring and added details.

The image above is mineralblue’s Gundam Mk II cosplay. It’s a great cosplay in general although there are some proportions like the arms being too short. Well, I guess that’s a common problem when cosplaying Gundam. But nonetheless, it still managed to recreate a simplified look of the Gundam Mk II.

14. Freedom Gundam

freedom

Cosplayer name: spartanzero71

The Freedom Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED is a Mobile Suit known by a lot of anime fans and Gundam enthusiasts! It has a futuristic look with a nice blend of different colors. It’s piloted by Kira Yamato who is also the main character of the series! Its wings are also an amazing feature to add mobility to the Gundam whenever it’s in the atmosphere or in space.

Here we see above the Freedom Gundam cosplay of spartanzero71! Proportions may be a bit different, but the overall look is still that of the Freedom Gundam’s. The amazing thing here is the wings and the cosplayer still managed to create one that doesn’t easily fall off. You can see a lot of details on the legs part while the shield and rifle also closely resemble the ones from the anime!

13. Sinanju

sinanju

Cosplayer name: zgokzogok

Next up is the Sinanju from Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. This Mobile Suit is just full of dazzling red color strongly indicating that this machine’s pilot is an antagonist, for sure. The Sinanju has a very intricate design compared to the Gundams and has a more eye-catching appearance.

This Sinanju’s cosplay is by zgokzogok and he is known for cosplaying mechas from different anime shows especially the Gundam series. Despite the complex design of the Sinanju, the cosplayer was still able to create a spitting image of it. The coloring also closely matches  what you see in the anime and the shiny Zeon logo on its chest is really well-made. Not to mention, the decals on the shoulders and other parts of the suit are also included making it a really detailed Sinanju cosplay.

12. Zaku II

zaku

Cosplayer name: Enshiro

The Zaku II is a mass-produced Mobile Suit from the main timeline of the Mobile Suit Gundam series. It has a strong green color for its whole body making it look more like a soldier’s look. It has an alienating look due to only having one eye which is used to target its enemies. It also has spikes on its left soldier and an attached shield on the right.

Enshiro’s Zaku II cosplay above is an accurate cosplay depicting the mobile suit. They even added details to the shield with the logo of Zeon on it. The coloring also matches the Zaku II itself with the darker green color on its front. There is also the iconic rifle which the Zaku II uses in almost every appearance in the anime.

11. Zudah

zudah

Cosplayer name: zgokzogok

This one is the Zudah from the show, Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO. If you take a closer look at it, it resembles a bit of the Zaku II with its one-eyed laser, and the rifle. The major differences between them are obviously the colors, and a more intricate design. The mobile suit screams color blue all over it with a slimmer look.

Zgokzogok’s cosplay above is an amazing version of his Zudah. I mean just look at the details! It’s very pleasing to look at and looks very realistic due to the dark background and good lighting! It’s very polished too while followed up with amazing proportions! Although, there is something missing here which is the shield. Supposedly, the shield should be attached to the back of the Zudah’s left arm and the cosplay doesn’t have that. Not a major issue, but it’s still an amazing and well-made cosplay of the Zudah.

10. Strike Freedom Gundam

strike

Cosplayer name: Goldy-Japan

Another variant of the Freedom Gundam is the Strike Freedom Gundam from the same series. It’s an improved version of the Freedom Gundam and has more details with a lot more firepower in combat. As you can see in the Strike Freedom, they added gold coloring in some other parts like the hands, the wings, and a small portion on the torso making it a more complex version than the previous one.

This is the Strike Freedom made by Goldy-Japan and you can clearly see the hard work the cosplayer has put in this! Just simply looking at it and you can easily see the details of the work. What you saw in the anime is also what you see here in the cosplay. If you look at the lower part, you can see a lot of effort has already been put into that. Overall, it’s an amazing look and very eye-catching to all Gundam fans!

9. Sword Impulse Gundam

Sword Impulse Gundam Cosplay by lee gunawan

Cosplayer name: Lee Gunawan

The Sword Impulse Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny is another mobile suit that resembles the Strike Freedom. The difference is that the Sword Impulse comes in red while the other two come in blue. Just from the name itself, the Sword Impulse’s main weapon is a laser sword that hangs on its back.

Lee Gunawan’s cosplay of the Sword Impulse Gundam is well-made and looks just like the one you see in the anime! Every complex part of the Sword Impulse can be seen in Gunawan’s cosplay. He also nailed the face part and resembles the Sword Impulse completely! Of course, don’t forget the heavy-looking sword he also created. At the back, you can also see a part of its wings which is also in the show. This means Lee has really put everything into this cosplay!

8. Unicorn Gundam

clive lee gundam unicorn 2

Cosplayer name: clivelee

Now for the renowned mobile suit is the Unicorn Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam: Unicorn! This is the most unique Gundam you will ever see in the series due to its beautiful forms. Its initial form is the Unicorn mode due to the single fin on the Gundam’s forehead and pure white coloring. When it changes to Destroy mode which is also the battle mode, the Unicorn Gundam’s look expands showing a red glow all over the body indicating exposing the use of its psycho-frame.

Clivelee’s Unicorn Gundam is that of the Destroy Mode’s version. The red coloring is the psycho-frame in the anime. When it comes to details, this cosplay literally has everything in it! The face, the shoulders, and the torso are accurately well-made by the cosplayer. Add to that, the amazingly created shield and the decals for a more realistic look.

7. Z’Gok

zgok

Cosplayer name: Prizmatec

The Z’Gok is a staple in the Gundam series and is shown a lot of times due to being a mass-produced mobile suit for the Zeon army. It comes in a different look and doesn’t really resemble a humanoid appearance compared to the others. The Z’Gok also comes in different versions especially in color. In the original series, the Z’Gok comes in purple, however, in the Gundam Unicorn version, it comes in a dark green color scheme.

If you look at Prizmatec’s Z’Gok, you can easily tell that its version is from the Unicorn anime due to its coloring. This one you see here is so realistic, hopefully, you don’t make it out as a real one! They managed to create a metallic finish which is an amazing idea for a mecha cosplay! It also emits this menacing aura due to its fearsome design!

6. Gundam Exia

Cosplayer name: gundamglory

Gundam Exia is a mobile suit from the series, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and it is piloted by its main character, Setsuna F. Seiei. The Exia gives off a first impression of being very quick, well that’s because it is. Because of its pilot, the Gundam Exia is always used to its full capabilities displaying a lot of its capabilities as a Gundam.

What you see here is the Gundam Exia via gundamglory and it’s so cool to look at! The cosplayer really went all out on this one because aside from the default design of the Exia, they even managed to think of adding weathering effects which simply means battle damage. It’s also amazing that they didn’t overdo it due to the cosplay being large in size. Overall, it’s a captivating look with a realistic finish!

5. RX-78-2 with Sayla Mass

5 RX 78 2 Sayla Mass Mobile Suit Gundam Cosplay

Cosplayer name: PUNIVAL and Mikuen

Next, we go for the cosplay duo PUNIVAL and Mikuen’s RX-78-2 with the character, Sayla Mass from the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. The RX-78-2 is the first Gundam ever created and is piloted by Amuro Ray, the protagonist of the series. On the other hand, Sayla Mass is also one of the characters in the anime who eventually becomes Amuro’s love interest.

The cosplays we see here are both stunning and pleasing to look at. Even though the RX-78-2 in cosplay does not have a large build, it still looks more proportionally correct giving it a perfect look. You can also see that the details are spot-on on the Gundam’s design. Sayla Mass’s cosplayer is also looking cute in this one with her EFSF female uniform. Both of their cosplays are nice to look at without feeling any exaggeration to their overall design.

4. Kshatriya

kshatriya

Cosplayer name: toronaga_nyamo

The bulky Kshatriya is another mobile suit from the Gundam Unicorn series. Aside from its huge build, the Kshatriya also has four gigantic wings attached that contain mega particle cannons which can be used against enemies. Pulling this off as a cosplay suit would definitely be amazing to look at!

When it comes to cosplay, toronaga_nyamo is a cosplayer who created a version of his Kshatriya and just as you expect, it did result into a gigantic figure! Despite the Kshatriya’s complex form, the cosplayer still managed not to fall short when it comes to details! In the end, he was still able to capture of what the Kshatriya would look like in cosplay.

3. Gundam Barbatos

barbatos

Cosplayer name: toronaga_nyamo

Coming in 3rd is the well-known Gundam Barbatos from the Iron-Blooded Orphans series! Coming off as the type of Gundam with a devilish look. When it comes to its design, the Gundam Barbatos mostly comes in white with a dash of yellow and blue. It also has symbols that look like a power button on its shoulders and knees.

Toronaga_nyamo’s Barbatos is a real spitting image of what you see in the anime! Aside from the details on the outside part, he also included the exposed joints that attach the Mobile Suit altogether. He also has the sword that the Barbatos wields often when in battle.

2. Wing Gundam

wing

Cosplayer name: manyu9523

For the 2nd spot is the Wing Gundam which is known to be piloted by Heero Yuy! This Gundam is famous for one obvious reason and that is its wings, of course. Among the various mobile suits in the franchise, the Wing Gundam is one of the few which can transform into something completely different. For this case, it transforms into a jet called Bird Mode. In the movie, Endless Waltz, the Wing Gundam took on major developments in its design and added wings that are attached to it.

As for manyu9523’s version, she created a totally different version of her Wing Gundam and in this version, she portrays herself as the Gundam itself. I gotta say that even though it’s not completely accurate to the source material, her idea of being able to create a mecha cosplay is innovative and fresh to look at.

1. Star Build Strike Gundam

clive lee cosplay star build strike gundam

Cosplayer name: clivelee

Lastly is the Star Build Strike Gundam by clivelee! The Star Build Strike is one of the Gunpla in the series Gundam Build Fighters and an enhanced version of its predecessor, Build Strike Gundam. Both of these Gunplas are built by the protagonist, Sei Iori.

Now for the cosplay, I think this already goes without saying why this one is on top! I mean just look at it! The details and the overall look are so accurate! He even added lighting within the suit and the glowing eyes which are rarely seen in Gundam cosplays! He also even managed to create a beam saber of his own!

CONCLUSION
