Stein’s gate is easily one of THE BEST anime you can watch. I’m not the kind of person to throw around this statement about every anime I see, as I understand that people have different tastes.
However, this anime just feels like it can capture the interest of literally all kinds of people. Are you looking for a complex plot with lots of foreshadowing? This anime has it! Maybe you just want to see some wholesome characters? Yup, this anime has it!

If you’re the kind that loves tsundere, then without a shadow of a doubt, Makise Kurisu will not disappoint you. And if you are someone who loves a tragic tale, then this anime has a few surprises up its sleeves as well.

15. Faris NyanNyan (Rumiho Akiha)
Birthday: April 3rd, 1993
Sign: Aries
A lot of Aries tend to be quite cheerful and passionate. On the surface, It seems like Faris is no exception, as she comes off as a bright young girl who loves to hang around with her friends.
Make no mistake, however, as even though she was initially introduced as a childish character, it is later revealed in the series how she actually hides her dark side. This makes her an interesting character.
She often resorts to manipulating people into getting away from her using her charms and intelligence. So, it’s pretty clear that she isn’t everything Aries are said to be, at least not on the inside.
Taurus (April 21 ~ May 20)
14. Itaru Hashida
Birthday: May 19th
Sign: Taurus
Taurus love to relax and tend to prefer a merry life. And the character Itaru Hashida seems to be no exception. However, that’s not the central feature that defines him.
The thing that defines this character is HIS LOVE FOR MOE! He also has many weird tendencies. Don’t get me wrong though, as he isn’t the kind of guy that comes off as a creep.
To tell you the truth, he’s actually quite innocent with a heart of gold, making him a very lovable character.
Gemini (May 21 ~ June 20)
13. Moeka Kiryu

Sign: Gemini
Moeka Kiryu is a Gemini, but unlike most Gemini, she isn’t really passionate about anything. Instead, she is some most of us introverts can relate to.
Most of the time in the anime, she tends to be absent-minded and expressionless. However, she loves to communicate via text messages, as she can express herself easily over text.
She tends to use a lot of emojis and honestly seems like a completely different person when you talk to her over text. Since she feels comfortable only when she texting someone, it’s no surprise that she gets very AGITATED when her phone is taken from her!
12. Yuki Amane
Birthday: 31st May 1988
Sign: Gemini
Yuki Amane is a Gemini, and like most Gemini, she’s optimistic and cheerful. These two traits aren’t the only ones that define her, as she is also seen to be determined and understanding throughout the show.
The fun thing to watch about this character is how she responds to jokes. Even though she tends to condone most of them, it’s pretty clear from her expression that she’s far from enjoying them.
Cancer (June 21 ~ July 22)
11. Kagari Shiina

Sign: Cancer
Up next, we have a character that’s shrouded in mystery. Kagari is a little girl who lost her parents in the third world war. she’s shown to be an introverted and shy girl.
The first thing that’s noticed about her is her resemblance with Kurisu, leading people to believe that she might be the daughter of Okabe and Kurisu.
Its, later on, confirmed that she’s not the child of Okabe or Kurisu despite the uncanny resemblance. She was also subjected to multiple experiments lead by Alexis Leskinen
Leo (July 23 ~ August 22)
10. Makise Kurisu
Birthday: July 25
Sign: Leo
The 10th character on our list is the one and only Makise Kurisu! She’s regarded by many as the queen of Tsundere, and for good reason. You see, most tsundere have developed some cliché traits over the years.
However, Kurisu has some original and interesting traits of her own. She’s clever, intelligent, and fun to be around as she doesn’t have a huge ego despite her achievements in the realm of science.
She’s a determined person like any other Leo, yet conceals her soft self inner self. who wouldn’t love a character like that!
Virgo (August 23 ~ September 22)
9. Ruka Urushibara
Birthday: 30th of August
Sign: Virgo
Next up on the list, we have ourselves a trap. Yes, you heard that right. Even though Ruka appears to be a girl, he’s actually a boy.
Unlike most other Virgo, who tend to be obsessed with improving some set of skills, Ruka seems to have no such ambition. He’s actually just a very sensitive and loving guy who’d do anything for his friends. This is exactly why it makes him such a wholesome character to watch.
8. Alexis Leskinen
Birthday:23rd August
Sign: Virgo
The two best words to describe Virgo are the words “loyal” and “perfectionist”. Alexis Leskinsen seems to fit the description perfectly. He strives for perfection in the field of science and stays loyal to it.
However, his pursuit of perfection is the focal cause that drove him to madness, as he shows no signs of hesitation when it comes to human experimentation. Overall, he’s an interesting and complex character. witnessing his screentime in the anime is never boring.
Libra (September 23 ~ October 22)
7. Suzuha Amane
Birthday: 27th September
Sign: Libra
The next character on our list is Suzuha. She comes off as a fairly straightforward person but can be perceptive when she’s required to be. Even though she is shown to be quite friendly with every character in the anime, she doesn’t like Makise Kurisu as she was the one who invented the time machine and caused so much suffering in the future.
One of the more interesting things about the character is her athletic abilities, as they always keep the viewer entertained.
Scorpio (October 23 ~ November 22)
6. Nae Tennouji
Birthday: 9th November
Sign: Scorpio
The next girl on our list is Nae Tennouji, and she’s definitely one of the more complex characters. Scorpio is a sign that is often misunderstood by others, and this seems to be the case with this young lady.
She is a shy and introverted girl who is left traumatized after the death of his father. Her mental state forces her to blame Okabe. She is also shown to have never liked Okabe’s behavior and generally avoided him, which is weird as okabe is generally a very likable character.
Sagittarius (November 23 ~ December 21)
5. Maho Hiyajo
Birthday: 2nd November 1988
Sign: Sagittarius
The second scorpio on our list is the one and only Maho Hiyajo. She initially comes off as a child because of her below-average height. Make no mistake, however, as she’s actually one of the most intelligent people you could come across. The cutest thing about her is her tendency to get annoyed every time someone mistakes her for a child, giving the audience a few giggles.
Despite her outstanding achievement in the vast field of science, she’s shown to have developed self-trust issues. It goes to show how even the most capable people are prone to different kinds of inferiority complex, and it was interesting to witness one in her.
4. Okabe Rintarou
Birthday:14th December
Sign: Sagittarius
On the 4th spot, we got to talk about the one and only Okabe Rinatrou, THE MAD SCIENTIST! Okabe is shown to like social interactions but can’t seem to do them in a normal way, resulting in any hilarious moments.
Despite being shown as a hilarious person in the start, as the plot of the anime progresses he becomes more of a serious person. The viewers get to witness him go through more and more misery as the anime progresses, changing his character entirely by the end.
Capricorn (December 22 ~ January 19)
3. Shouichi Makise
Birthday: January 13th, 1967
Sign: Capricorn
If there was a reward for being the worst dad ever, Shouichi would’ve definitely won it. He is the father of Makise Kurisu and is a scientist just like her. He would often debate with Kurisu regarding scientific matters, and would usually end up losing.
Gradually, it became clear that Kurisu was destined to outshine his father. Instead of being proud of his daughter, he became more drenched in jealousy. It’s the prime reason why every steins gate fan hates him so much.
Aquarius (January 20 ~ February 19)
2. Mayuri Shiina
Birthday: 1st February
Sign: Aquarius
Mayuri is the most innocent character of Steins gate. She is shown to be very caring and fairly less intelligent for her age. This could partly be because of her inability to accept the death of her grandmother.
She also has an obsession with anything that’s cute. The greatest strength in her personality is her ability to empathize and read the emotions of her friends. Overall, she isn’t the most complex character that steins gate has to offer, but she’s DEFINITELY the most wholesome.
Pisces (February 20 ~ March 20)
1. Yuugo Tennouji
Birthday: 12 March 1978
Sign: Pisces
The last character on the list is yugo Tennouji. Even though he comes off as the kind of guy who’s rock hard and is always looking for a fight, the truth is, he’s actually a softie who loves everyone he knows very dearly.
Despite being very soft on the inside, he actually retains a very strict and serious personality on the outside, infront of Okabe, as he doesn’t like his “jester” personality.
