Whenever we watch an anime, we tend to find a character that resembles us. We surely know that there’s a reason behind this! The reason could be that these characters might have the same zodiac as us. There are people that don’t really believe in astronomy but I would say there are some effects based one our astronomical signs!

So, today, we’re going to be talking about the zodiacs of characters in “My Dress Up Darling”. It is a newly released anime in which the MC is given a childhood trauma. His trauma was being screamed on by a girl who saw him take a liking to the traditional dolls. This trauma prolonged and resulted in Gojou Wakana having 0 friends. Doesn’t that sound awful

Aries (March 21 - April 19)
Kitagawa Marin
Kitagawa Marin is a very friendly, kind, and extroverted person. She has a lot of friends. Wakana describes her as a dazzling person with a lot of friends. Marin is quite messy at times too. She’s clumsy and doesn’t have much control over herself. While she looks like a normal beautiful teenager, she loves cosplaying and is an otaku like most of us.
She isn’t as skilled at handiwork as Wakana but she wants to be. Therefore, she takes the help of Wakana to create customes so she can cosplay as her favorite characters which we get to see in different episodes of the anime.
An interesting fact about her is that she loves magical anime and video games. Her mother died when she was young and she used to live with her father until he was called to work somewhere else. So, now she lives alone and stops by Wakana’s home to annoy him.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Inui Sajuna
Next we have Inui Sajuna who is one of the supporting characters in the anime, “My Dress Up Darling”. She has a bit of a tsundere personality. She loves cosplaying like Marin. After watching the cosplaying outfits made by Wakana, she decides to get her outfits made by him too. She loves hitting her younger sister. However, what she loves more is being complimented when she’s cosplaying her favorite character. Inui Sajuna’s cosplay nickname is “Juju”. She mostly cosplays as a magical girl. Sajuna is a mentally tough girl and she doesn’t back off from menacing situations.
Gemini (May 21 - June 21)
Sugaya Nowa
Sugaya Nowa is the friend of Marin. And if she’s the friend of Marin she must be really out-going too, right? She has black hair with red streaks. She likes to maintain herself and look pretty too. She’s a very cheerful girl with bright eyes and we all know such characters are the social butterflies. Sugaya Nowa is the social butterfly in the series. In fact, Geminis are called “the social butterflies” since they love taking the spotlight and interacting with other people.
Cancer (June 22 - July 22)
Wakana Gojou
Moving on, we have Wakana Gojou who is the MC of the anime. He used to be a loner during his childhood for a reason. He was looked down upon by a girl for liking traditional dolls and seeing his passion creeped out other people too. It might not be a big deal to others, however, it really left a deep scar on Wakana Gojou’s heart.
He didn’t have any friends until he met Marin in his school. Marin really appreciated him for the things he liked. In fact, it turns out that they both are interested in making clothes except for the fact that Marin is a completely clueless person who can’t really sew clothes properly. Seeing the skills of Wakana, she decides to take her chance and ask him to make her cosplaying outfits.
Seeing the appreciation of Marin, Wakana got confused at first but we really see his character development as the story proceeds. How he became somebody from nobody. It really is quite surprising. He might as well fall for Marin since she’s so pretty. Let’s see what happens!
Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Kaoru Gojou
Kaoru Gojou is the grandfather of Wakana Gojou. He has always been there for Gojou despite being unable to understand him at times. However, he mostly encourages his grandson and raises his morale all the time. Wakana Gojou has been living with his grandfather for a long time and has learnt several skills from him too.
We see Wakana losing at times and being confused too. Then his grandfather makes him understand that he’s been doing this sewing thing for a long time that’s why he’s so good at it. Wakana is just impatient and wants to master everything instantly. His grandfather is teaching him some good stuff, isn’t he?
Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Miori
Miori is the elder cousin of Wakana Gojou who tends to support him in everything he does. She’s a rather motherly character in the series. Miori is a warm person who cares a lot about her family. In fact, she’s an empathetic who understands how it feels to be left out. Therefore, she helped Wakana in his rough times too.
Libra (September 22 - October 23)

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Nobara
Nobara didn’t really get much screen time in the anime. However, she’s the girl who traumatized Wakana in his childhood by calling his passion, “disgusting”. She seems like a very straightforward person that might throw anybody off. Her anger or rage is quite dangerous too.
