On the surface, this anime has one of the most absurd plots one could think of. It follows the story of the alien Koro-sensei, who instead of teaching his students assigned them to kill him. If they fail to do so, Korosensei would just destroy the earth.
See what I mean when I said absurd plot? However, despite coming off as surreal on the outside, the fandom of this anime knows how it achieves its comedy, and that too while discussing great themes.
Table of Contents
It’s got a wide variety of interesting characters that hold resemblance to each other, and yet they’re individually unique. Perhaps the best thing about the anime is how each of them shares a good amount of spotlight. But enough about the show itself, as today, we’ll be talking about the zodiac signs of some of the characters from this anime! So let’s not waste any more time and get right into it!

Table of Contents
Aries (March 21 ~ April 20)
Itona Horibe:

Birthday: March 31
Sign: Aries
Aries tend to be driven by ambition and add fuel to the fire of other people’s ambition as well. Itona Horibe starts off as an ambitious person but not a good leader, as he was always self-centered. He had a past history of being bullied, which fueled his desire to obtain power.
Over time, as the anime progresses, he turns into more of a team player and starts to care for his friend around him. His character development is indeed something that’s worth witnessing.
Another interesting quirk about him is that he’s actually a very straightforward guy, and tends to speak out his mind. It does make him come off as somewhat of a jerk and an idiot at times. He never really changes this aspect of his personality throughout the show. Well, I guess some things just never change!
Taurus (April 21 ~ May 20)
Ryunosuke Chiba:

Birthday:May 20
Sign: Taurus
Up next, we have an introverted one in the house! Taurus tend to love their time alone and keep themselves relaxed. However, the sad part about the boy’s life is that he tends to keep all his negative emotions to himself in his time alone. He doesn’t trust anyone with his emotions, which is a very common human trait.
The strongest suit in his character is how observant he is. Throughout the show, the audience gets to witness him decipher multiple human behaviors. His observant nature is the prime reason the screentime he’s given can never be boring.
Overall, the two words that best describe his character are “stoic” and “observant”
Gemini (May 21 ~ June 20)
Taiga Okajima:

Birthday: June 9
Sign: Gemini
The next character on our list is Taiga Okajima! Geminis are known to be curious, and the only thing this character seems to be curious about are different female body parts.
Peeping holes and reading erotica magazines are his hobbies, and he’s not ashamed of it. You might think that this makes him creep, but in reality, he’s a kind boy who cares about everyone in his class
Aside from having a passion for female body parts he’s also quite passionate about photography making him an expert on cameras.
Cancer (June 21 ~ July 22)
Nagisa Shiota:

Birthday: July 20
Sign: Cancer
The strength of cancer lies in their intuition, and Nagisa is no exception. The best thing about his character is his ability to read other humans. I guess you could say, he’s the ideal combination of “curious” and “intelligent”
These two aren’t his only unique quirks, as he’s also shown to be quite calm and patient. If he sees a potential benefit, he’d endure insults that would otherwise be nerve-wracking for normal humans.
However, just like any other character on this list, he’s far from perfect. He’s shown to be quite shy in most scenarios, which results in his loss quite a few times in the anime.

Leo (July 23 ~ August 22)
Tadaomi Karasuma:

Birthday: August 15
Sign: Leo
Next up, we have another one of those characters who pretend to be strict and serious on the outside but are actually soft on the inside. This reason alone makes Tadaomi Karasuma an interesting character.
Being an agent, it shouldn’t come off as a surprise that he’s a very brave character just like any other Leo! He also likes to keep a distance between himself and all the students because of his life as an agent.
One of the things that strike off as funny about the guy is how dense he is when it comes to love. Despite being an intelligent agent, he’s ironically quite clueless when it comes to love. This nature of his result in a few hilarious scene every now and then
Virgo (August 23 ~ September 22)
Rio Nakamura:

Birthday: August 24
Sign: Virgo
There are three words that best describe Rio Nakamura, those are friendly, trickster, and intelligent. The combination of these three elements makes her a fun character to watch.
She cares about her class more than anything, which is why she’s friendly with everyone. She also has a few students she loves to mess around with but cares about them just as much. She’s also shown time after time again how cunning and intelligent she can be.
There really is no further explanation needed to prove that she’s such a fun character to watch!
Libra (September 23 ~ October 22)
Irina Jelavić:

Birthday:October 10
Sign: Libra
Irina Jelavić is one of those well-developed characters that we hate initially but can’t help but adore later on. In the start, she was shown to be an arrogant yet intelligent person with the looks of a princess!
She had both beauty and brains, though her arrogance made her one of the most hated characters in the class. However, the audience soon gets to learn that underneath her shell of arrogance hides a huge number of insecurities that the average person can relate to.
These kinds of characters are alwasys fun to watch as they develop, and after getting to know this weak side of hers people couldn’t help but fall in love with her character!
Scorpio (October 23 ~ November 22)
Kaede Kayano:

Birthday: November 9
Sign: Scorpio
Kaede Kayano is one of those characters who comes off as shy and passive in nature but is actually very determined to achieve her goals, especially when it comes to sweets!
One of the best things about her character is how cheerful she is. Kaede Kayano is easily one of the most caring and cheerful people in her class, which spreads positive energy all around her. This plays a key role in keeping her class fellows motivated and to some extent, even the audience!
Another thing that’s worth mentioning about her is that she faces a severe inferiority complex regarding her appeal. She’s actually quite open about it and somewhat doesn’t feel ashamed to admit that she doesn’t feel comfortable around women with large breasts. I don’t know about you guys, but I think she was perfect just the way she was!
Sagittarius (November 23 ~ December 21)
Hiroto Maehara:

Birthday: December 6th
Sign: Sagittarius
Up next, we have the character Hiroto Maehara. This guy is easily one of the best friends you can have and look up to. He’s honest, kind, and best of all, just loves to live in the moment!
He’s the kind of guy who wouldn’t be bothered by any kind of adversity most of us would make a big fuss out of. This is exactly why he’s so fun to watch, as he makes us realize the thing that we usually take too seriously in life aren’t worth giving that much attention to.
To add icing to the cake, he’s also shown to be very kind and generous, someone who doesn’t look down on others. These traits pretty much make him a perfect character to watch
Capricorn (December 22 ~ January 19)
Karma Akabane:

Birthday: December 25
Sign: Capricorn
Up next, we have a character on the list that’s famous throughout the school but not for a good reason. Karma Akabane has made himself a reputation for being the most violent person in his class.
His development throughout the show is interesting, as he initially starts off as an idiot paying no attention to his studies. However, as he gets humiliated in a few of his exams, he changes a bit and actually starts studying for a change.
Despite being mischievous and violent most of the time, he’s also shown to have an empathic side making him an interesting and complex character. He also loves and cares for everyone in his class on the inside.
Aquarius (January 20 ~ February 19)
Kotaro Takebayashi:

Birthday: January 29
Sign: Aquarius
The next character is a weeb. Yup, you heard that right. This dude loves to keep himself indulged in anime just like most of us. He also loves going to maid cafes and is obsessed with anime girls. Initially, he’s shown to be very weak, as he doesn’t possess a witty mind nor does he have any physical strengths.
He wanted to leave this class as he stood out as the oddball. However, he soon fell in love with the teacher and his class fellows, just because of how much they cared about each other. This just goes to show how a little “love” and “affection” can mean the world to some people.
Overall, I think that this character had the most amount of weakness from the get-go. He eventually overcomes them as the show moves on.
Pisces (February 20 ~ March 20)
Koro Sensei:

Birthday: March 13
Sign: Pisces
It is, as they say, one should always save the best for last. And Koro-sensei, without a shadow of a doubt, is indeed the best character of Assassination classroom.
He is shown to have a tragic past where he could trust no one, as anyone would be willing to betray even the closest of friends for personal gain. The anime discusses how he could’ve been a different person had he been blessed with a better past.
He usually keeps his jolly mood in front of the children but from time to time, he shows his real side as a deathly reaper of the past. However, despite the tragic past of Korosensei, he proves himself capable of empathy as the show progresses.
He ends up making a special connection with each and every one of his students. He understood their problems and resorted to empathic ways of fixing them, unlike in the past when he relied on fear to teach his students. Overall he’s an interesting character that has had great development throughout the show.
Conclusion
With that being said this concludes our list of the zodiac signs and their characters from the assassination classroom. This anime is indeed one of a kind and comes with a wide variety of characters.
With such a large cast of characters, you’re bound to find someone you can relate to. It’s one of the aspects that makes the show so much fun to watch. It has hilarious moments, some serious themes, and a satisfying conclusion. So we hope you enjoyed the blog. I’ll see you at the next one. Peace out
