Welcome to Demon School Iruma Kun was originally a manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Nishi. It started serializing in Akita Shoten’s shonen manga magazine in March 2017. There are a total of 29 volumes of this manga and is currently ongoing.
The first season of this anime series started premiering in October 2019 and it ended in March 2020. The second season was released in April 2021 and ended in September 2021. A third season premiered in October 2022.

The anime introduces us to a 14-year-old ordinary boy named Iruma Suzuki who has to spend his day and night working in order to support his family because his parents are good for nothing. Despite working tirelessly for them, his irresponsible parents sold him to Demon Sullivan. Iruma is devastated after finding that out. However, he was being too worried for nothing as the Demon Sullivan reveals to him that he was only looking for a grandchild whom he could spoil and send to the Demon School Babyls. As Iruma starts going to school, he hides his true identity of being a human because he didn’t know how his peers would react. This becomes nearly impossible for him because Sullivan turns out to be the chairman of the school and is the next in line to become the Demon King. Iruma ‘s plan to keep a low profile is shattered because he tries to chant a forbidden spell in front of the school. This is only the beginning of the misadventures of Iruma Suzuki!

Iruma is trying to live happily amongst the demons and he successfully befriends them as well. His identity as a human is still a secret though. Now he wants to rank up in this world of demons. However, his club gets dismissed and he’s forced to become a part of the student council that shows strictness towards the students that don’t listen. We’re introduced to Amalie Azazel, the president of the student council who also happens to be Iruma’s friend. Iruma finds himself struggling with the strict rules and regulations of the student council but he still wants to help Amalie as well as prove himself. However, there is a sudden change in Amalie’s personality that ruins the reputation of the student council. Now, Iruma decides to win his peers back and save Amalie as well.

Iruma continues to fit in the demon school and gets along with everyone. It’s finally Iruma’s second year in school and there is harvest season. For their final test, the students are made to go through an extremely dangerous jungle that is filled with lethal monsters. They must compete for food with each other. Iruma’s classmates have turned against each other because they want to be on top. Iruma must not trust anybody if he wants to become the best of the best.
