Below from there, I am going to provide you the summaries of all its seasons, OVAs, and movies. So that it would be easy for you guys to have know-how about the plot of each season. Yes, definitely, with OVAs and movies combined!
Tokyo Ghoul Season 1

Duration: Approximately 24 minutes per episode
The anime begins with Ken, a normal teenager but not for long. He becomes a half-ghoul. Kaneki was betrayed by his girl crush, Rize Kamishiro. Our innocent Ken had no idea that she was a ghoul who wanted to eat him. Poor soul! I must say, girls can be quite scary.
The season focuses on the hard-core journey of Ken’s survival and how he manages to stay as a hybrid. After a series of incidents, the plot becomes engaging when Ken meets other ghouls. Some of them were a great help to Ken and some were just a threat!
Among the apparently good ones, Yoshimura was of great help to him as Ken learned how to deal with humans being a hybrid. In turn, this helped him move on with his new life. Along with Yoshimura, he also meets Touka.

Later, Ken befriends a ghoul named Tsukiyama but little did he know that ghouls are scarier than humans! Then obviously, Kaneki getting targeted by the ghouls was not something to be surprised about!
In the whole season with the coming twists, Kaneki tries his best to find some clues about Rize. Meanwhile, Ken is tortured by a ghoul organization named Aogiri Tree. After a lot of maltreatment, he is forced to make a choice.
If you want to know more, then I am afraid you need to watch it yourself! And there you go! The season ends! In short, the season was quite intriguing but slow at the same time because it was just the beginning of the story.
However, you will enjoy the struggles and the never-ending will of Ken. Though you will see some downfalls in Ken’s life, it’s worth it! Hey mates, never give up on anything you really care about, no matter what, because if Ken can, then you can!
Tokyo Ghoul Season 2

Duration: Approximately 24 minutes per episode
Season 2 has twelve episodes with a lot of twists and turns than season 1, comparatively! In season 2, somehow Kaneki ends up joining Aogiri and the plot focuses on the Aogiri’s clash and battles with the CCG.
Meanwhile, the Aogiri decides to attack the CCG. On the other hand, CCG is also planning to win against Aogiri. However, the twist begins when they show Ken behind the attack. Of course, Ken was being played!
I can bet you will kill me for spoiling your suspense! After a lot of incidents and twists, Ken tries hard to look for some clues about the Owl!
The plot is full of mind-blowing action with Ken’s polished abilities. Season 2 gained more hype than season 1 and the reason is evident!
Jack & Pinto OVAs
It is not necessary to watch the OVA “Tokyo Ghoul: Jack” as it is a prequel to the main series and does not directly impact the plot.
1. Tokyo Ghoul: “Jack“

Duration: 30 minutes
Okay mates, this one has an intriguing storyline. It focuses on Arima and his journey. The story begins when a girl named Taishi Fura encounters a ghoul. She saw a ghoul doing his hobbies, LOL, of course; it includes eating and killing swiftly!
As this OVA shows the life journey of Arima, he helps the girl and saves her from the ghoul. For him, it was not difficult, because he was in the CCG! After some twists and turns, Fura decides to join Arima.
In short, it was a pretty engaging episode giving a great know-how about the CCG and also Arima in his school days! Hey, do you know the best way to talk with a ghoul? No? Let me tell you…it is from far away…like far, far away!
2. Tokyo Ghoul: “Pinto“

Duration: 25 minutes
This OVA focuses on the story of Shuu Tsukiyama and Chie Hori. To your surprise, Shuu isn’t an ordinary human but a ghoul. And Chie found this fact. Okay, not only that, Chie accidentally captured Shuu eating!
Now what? This OVA becomes even more spellbinding when Shuu finds that they both are classmates! To know why Shuu didn’t kill Hori and how they both decided to keep the incident a secret, you have to give it a go!
Tokyo Ghoul Season 3

It is also called Tokyo Ghoul: re-season 1 and the reason is; it is based on the manga plot. This season also has twelve episodes. It is a hell of a lot different from the previous two seasons. Take it from the characters or the plot. Each and everything is a new beginning!
The story revolves around a character named Haise Sasaki. To your surprise, he is the new Ken. Sasaki has no memories of him as Ken. Yes, I know it’s a bit frustrating but bear with it. Later on, it was revealed that Sasaki is the head of an organization named Quinx Squad.
This is a group of hybrids who work against the ghouls. The plot begins with the serial killer who eats the torsos of his victims. The Quinx Squad struggles to find the killer. After a few complexities, Sasaki encounters Nishio.

On the other hand, Sasaki’s encounter made him remember his memories as Ken. Subsequently, he somehow meets Touka which makes Sasaki emotional. This season is pretty complex with the number of antagonists and meanwhile, Sasaki dealing with his past memories as Ken.
Sasaki becomes more curious about Ken and tries to get some information on hand. His curiosity is sparked by Ken’s mask that Eto sends him. The twists continue when Tsukiyama vows to make Sasaki remember his memories as Ken.
To do so, he plans to send Aogiri to fight with the Quinx Squad. So that he can have an encounter with Sasaki alone. Long story short, after a lot of incidents including Sasaki getting attacked by ghouls and all, he finally accepts himself as ken! Whoa, that was really a task!

This season involves a lot of deaths. Kaneki tries to put a full stop to Karen, Tsukiyama, and Eto. However, some of them were saved. To know who was and who wasn’t, water your curiosity yourself!
My friend just asked me “how can you keep a ghoul in suspense? I said: “buddy, you just don’t, because you won’t be alive to reveal that suspense!” LOL!
(GOOD HUMOR)
Tokyo Ghoul Season 4/Tokyo Ghoul: re 2nd Season

Duration: Approximately 24 minutes per episode
It is also called Tokyo Ghoul re-season 2 and has twelve episodes. In this season, after getting his memories back, Sasaki still decides to keep his identity. After some incidents, it was somehow revealed that Takatsuki is a ghoul.
Later on, she gave information about her book. The book she has written has a solution by which both humans and ghouls can be together. A lot happens and Kaneki and Arima come face to face. In this fight, Arima injures Ken several times which makes Kaneki give up.
[SPOILER ALERT]
When he was about to give up, he gets a vision where Hide tells him to live. So, he again gets up but let me shock you! Arima didn’t let Ken touch him as he committed suicide! Yes, you got that right!

So guys, after a lot of hitches and glitches, Ken holds a meeting where he decides to bring both humans and ghouls together! Huh, this is still not the end, a lot of scenarios, fights, and breathtaking moments are yet to come!
However, in the end, Kaneki and Touka are seen living happily ever after with their baby girl. To make you happier, the world is now peaceful than ever with both humans and ghouls working together!
This season marks the end of Tokyo Ghoul!
Tokyo Ghoul: Live Action Movies
The live-action movie “Tokyo Ghoul” is not considered canon in the main series. But it contains some context from the manga too.
Tokyo Ghoul Movie (2017)

Duration: 1 hour 59 minutes
Fellas, this movie follows the same plot as season 1 of the anime. The only difference is that you would be able to see everything in live-action. It follows the same story of Ken being cheated on by Rize and waking up in a hospital as a half-ghoul.
Subsequently, the plot progresses with the struggling Kaneki adjusting to his new harsh life. If you guys are interested in watching a live-action version of the anime, then this is a must-try. Plus, it will give you a feel that ghouls really exist! LOL!

Duration: 1 hour 41 minutes
This movie focuses more on the ghoul threats to Kaneki. The plot begins when Tsukiyama plans to eat Kaneki. To fulfill his dream, he invites Ken to a restaurant where several other ghouls were also present.
However, Ken is saved when CCG arrives there! After the incident, Ken encounters Nishino and Touka and later finds that Nishino is the girlfriend of Nishiki. On the other hand, Tsukiyama’s thirst for Kaneki increases.
