Overlord was released back in 2015. With its dark comedy, isekai taste, and fantasy genre, it won the hearts of many people. If we talk about its plot, it revolves around a young man who gets trapped within a video game. Imagine being one of the characters in the video game, sounds pretty intense, right? Anyways, since this young man was chosen to be a dark sorcerer, he had to make his own empire and start his journey as the master of the guild, Ainz Ooal Gown! Overlord Quick Watch Order

Overlord Season 1 (PLOT)
The story is set in a futuristic world in the year 2126. The story mainly revolves around a Dive Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game also known as DMMORPG. The name of the game is YGGDRASIL. It was released due to its realistic quality of interacting with its players. After some years of preparing and playing this game, all the game servers run out and eventually shut down.
There’s also a guild within the game named Ainz Ooal Gown, it has 41 members and it’s considered one of the strongest guilds of all time. After some series of incidents, only 4 members are left. The other 37 members quitted playing the game. Now, these four members who haven’t quitted the game are left. Out of these four members, only one is selected as a Dark Sorcerer whose name is “Momonga”. Momonga is a skeletal character who will build his guild and protect it from enemies.
When the whole game is being shut down, Momonga invites the remaining members to log back in to their servers but only one member appears. Although he was saddened by this yet he accepted the reality that his friends had lives outside the game and they needed to take care of things. Now, he remains inside the game and stays until the servers shut down, which never did.
The servers never shut down, instead, Momonga finds out that the game didn’t finish. It seems like Nazarick has been transported to another world with the other non player characters and himself. Momonga is trapped in this world as a character of the game unable to leave the game. Sounds pretty good, eh?
The character in which our MC is trapped in has limitless powers and is nearly overpowered. Therefore, he has this huge bag of responsibilities on him. Now, he’ll have to acquire more information about the game and find others who are stuck like him! That’s pretty hectic, but our boy can do it.
Overlord Season 2
While finding out the mysteries of this gaming world, Ainz decides to find other players like him. The first part of the anime covers the Lizardman Arc, where Ainz takes over his land and builds his guild. Later on, we get to see Sebas Tian who’s the great butler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. He gets sent to the capital to find out more information about its people and society. Sebas finds out about a very suspicious and shady organization known as “Eight Fingers”. It is an underground group that holds a large amount of influence.
Because of all the shady things this organization has done, Nazarick decides to destroy this organization. On the other hand, Demiurge is making up a plan. If you don’t know who that is, let me tell you about him. Demiurge is one of the Floor Guardians that belong to Nazarick. Half of their organization gets attacked and Momon helps the Blue Roses. The pace of the plot is quite slow but the ending of this season was rather interesting because of good dialogues.
Overlord Season 3
The third season deals with new troubles as always. It focuses on the argument between the Sorcerer’s Kingdom of Nazarick and the Baharuth Empire who pretended to form an alliance with Ainzs’ kingdom but ended up betraying it. This sounds terrifying now. Imagine someone forming an alliance with you just to stab you on your back. This is scary y’all. You guys better be careful. Anyways, Season 3 mainly focuses on the “theme” of betrayal. I won’t spoil this season more for you guys now. If you’re curious about what happens next, wait for the 4th season which will come out soon!
