Jujutsu Kaisen, undoubtedly, has been one of the most interesting anime/manga of all time. With its debut in 2020, it won the hearts of many people all around the world. Along with its interesting storyline, intense action, and wholesome characters. This is an all-in-one type of anime. In fact, this manga outsold every other manga by 1 million copies.

Let’s introduce you to its plot. The story of this anime revolves around an average yet not-so-average high schooler named Yuji Itadori. He’s a very kind-hearted boy who’s always willing to help everyone. With his grandfather being on his death-bed, he was told to help others no matter what happens.
One day, Itadori finds out the dark truth about his high school. He finds out about an occult club that was made just for fun purposes until things started getting fishy and out of hand. Just so you all know, our boy Itadori swallowed a whole cursed finger to get Sukuna’s superpowers and to help others. Today, we’re going to help you with Jujutsu Kaisen’s Watch Order. TThere’s only one season of Jujutsu Kaisen yet but we know that season 2 will be released some time in July 2023. The specific release date is yet to be announced. There is also a movie called Jujutsu Kaisen 0 that was released in December of 2021.

If you haven’t watched Jujutsu Kaisen, you’re missing out on alot. Let’s get you familiar with its genres, in case you feel like watching it. It’s genres include Adventure, Dark Fantasy, and Supernatural. As I’ve told you earlier, its plot, dark elements, and action will make you fall in love with it. Jujutsu Kaisen starts off with Yuji’s grandfather telling him to help others in every type of situation.
After his grandfather passed away, he was focused on being as helpful as possible to others, so he started off with helping his own school. He notices that there’s a suspicious occult group that is planning something.
Megumi, on the other hand, tracks down the finger. It turns out that Yuji decides to eat the finger to help others. Yes, that idiot ate a cursed finger and now is a host to a parasite known as Ryomen Sukuna. We all know this handsome, villainous character, right? Itadori easily dominates over Sukuna but Megumi wanted to kill Yuji just to stop Sukuna.
Yuji declines Megumi’s offer and is met by Gojo Satoru. Yes, Gojo (the blue-eyed, handsome, tall guy) Gojo tends to get a bit arrogant and is known as the strongest sorcerer. Gojo fights Sukuna until Itadori gets his control back. Since Sukuna has 20 fingers, Gojo wants Itadori to find all of the 20 cursed fingers. Afterwards, Yuji gathers his grandfather’s cinders and finds another cursed finger. Later on, Yuji goes to the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High.
He was given a test by the teacher, Masamichi Yaga. He says that his grandfather wants him to help everyone. Masamichi Yaga tells him that this reason isn’t enough to become a jujutsu sorcerer. Therefore, he claims that he doesn’t want to regret not being able to stop Sukuna. That’s the reason which got him into the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High.
Moving on, we get to see the training of Itadori with Gojo. Guess how Gojo trained our boy? He made him watch a lot of movies. Now, this looks like a job for me. As the story proceeds, we get to see a female character named Nobara Kugisaki who’s quite the beauty and considers herself a princess. When Itadori, Megumi, and Nobara meet up, they have a mission to accomplish. They basically have to go into an abandoned building and defeat the spirits inside it. Nobara, along with her cursed tool, defeats them. We get to see her cursed techniques too.
Nobara is now a part of Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High. And after defeating the cursed spirits, Gojo takes this trio out for dinner. After a month, these sorcerers are sent off to exorcize a Special Grade Curse in Tokyo. When they proceed with their plan of exorcizing the Special Grade Curse, they observe it carefully. At this moment, another character named Ichiji comes out and lets them know that they are in a do-or-die situation.
When the time of fighting comes, we get to see Megumi’s two dogs that confront the Special Grade Curse. Things start to get intense when Yuji loses his arm. Therefore, he plans to free Sukuna. Sukuna heals Itadori’s wounds and a new fight begins.
After being healed, Sukuna holds Itadori hostage by tearing his heart out of his chest. OOF, that moment! Now, Sukuna is against Megumi and they have to fight. Yuji killed himself to stop Sukuna. On the other hand, our girl Nobara encounters the second year Maki Zenin and the cursed spirits, namely Hanami, Jogo and Dagon plan to get Sukuna and Yuji on their teams. While Itadori was badly wounded because of Sukuna, he “dies”. Eventually, he opens up his eyes in Sukuna’s domain. He sees Sukuna sitting at the top of skulls and bones. OOF, imagine how intense that would have been!
Megumi meets the mother of a dead in-mate from the Juvenile Detention Center observing the fact that he was helped by Yuji to see the light in other people. However, moving to the next arc, Megumi and Nobara train with the second years to prepare for the tournament that will occur in a month.
Just like that, moving to the next arc, there are two teams that are planning to approach each other and battle. There are students from Tokyo that will battle against the students from Kyoto. That battle is one of the most fun fights to watch. But before that, we get to see the interaction of both teams which is super interesting. Do you guys remember when Aoi Todo asked Yuji Itadori what his ideal type of woman is? That’s when our boy Itadori gained the respect of Aoi Todo. Both of these guys have the same type when it comes to women. Fun fact: Their ideal type of woman is Jennifer Lawrence.
After becoming “Bestto Friendo”, they battled against one another to see each others’ potential. A lot more incidents happened after this battle, for instance, Hanami is a cursed spirit, it made trouble for everyone, Gojo was trapped as well. But somehow they came across many difficulties.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (2022)
The prequel or the movie Jujutsu Kaisen mainly tells us about Yuta Okkotsu who has control over a very powerful spirit and he gets enrolled in Tokyo Metropolitan jujutsu High. He has an unlimited amount of power and sometimes he just can’t control it. So, the jujutsu sorcerers at Tokyo Jujutsu will make him learn to control his powers. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (2023)
Ahhhhh, at last! The season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen is here. Our wait is now finally over as it will be release in July 2023. No specific date as of yet and the number of episodes are also not yet confirmed. What we can confirm is that we can taste the epic fights, great animation, and clever writing of storyline again. Plus, we can now learn about the past of the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, Satoru Gojo.
How Many Seasons and Episodes Does Jujutsu Kaisen Have?
So far, Jujutsu Kaisen has 2 seasons and 1 movie. Season 1 has 24 episodes which span 23 minutes per episode. The movie spanned 1 hour and 44 minutes. And Season 2 doesn’t have information about the number of episodes but we are expecting it to run until end of the year hopefully since we are looking forward to 24 episodes for this season! We do also know that it will be released some time in July 2023 and we’ll be sure to update you if more information will be released in the future.
Do You Need to Watch Jujutsu Kaisen in Order?
If you want to watch the movie first, that would be fine since it is a prequel to season 1. But if you already watched the first season, it is alright to watch the movie afterwards. It will be another scenario when season 2 is already released. We recommend watching season 1 first, then proceed to watch the movie before hopping on to season 2.
Should You Watch Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Before the Anime Series?
You should be fine watching Jujutsu Kaisen 0 before the series since it is a prequel to the main story and you will not be spoiled with the future events in the series.
