#14 Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

Release Date: July 9, 2021, for Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows

After the continued success of its previous games like Monster Hunter World, another game of the popular Monster Hunter franchise is heading its way for the PC and Nintendo Switch next month! Monster Hunter 2: Wings of Ruin is a spin-off title and sequel to the 2016 game Monster Hunter Stories. Although Monster Hunter does not have an anime adaptation yet, the franchise is a huge hit for otakus and gamers alike due to the variety of weapons, armor, and fighting styles that you can try out.

The most recent adaptation of the game would be the 2020 Hollywood film Monster Hunter, which had mixed reviews. But in all honesty, it would be really great to see a Monster Hunter anime in production. But the question now is which game the anime will be based on. That would be so cool!

#6 Ghostwire: Tokyo

Release Date: October 2021, PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Windows

If you wonder why we added Ghostwire: Tokyo in our list of upcoming games is because it has these vibes similar to Alita: Battle Angel and Akira. Aside from this, the game is actually made by the same people who made the hit game The Evil Within. In Ghostwire: Tokyo, people have started disappearing in the streets of Tokyo. Shadowy figures and monsters then slowly roam the city causing trouble everywhere they go.

In the game, you get to roam these neon-lit streets, and face-off these different monsters that are based on notable Japanese legends and folklore. If these are the kind of things that you are looking for in a video game, then Ghostwire: Tokyo should definitely be on your gaming wishlist by now!
