Suguru Geto | Jujutsu Kaisen

Introduction

Well, no doubt there are quite a number of differences between you, me, and Jujutsu Sorcerers, Curse Users to be more exact. But among the few Curse Users, we know that Suguru Geto is one who never misses out on a chance to state the clear differences between normal humans and Sorcerers.

Suguru Geto

So it’s not surprising he has deemed it fit to nickname the entire non-sorcerer faction of the human population as “monkeys” since he clearly saw them as lesser beings.

But does the term “Curse User” mean he’s a bad guy? Well, let’s even understand what these ”Curses” are. Curses are actually the truest and purest form of human emotions, born out of our innermost (Innate) feelings, no matter whatever energy we give out to the world. So the amount of these curses are pretty much on par with the human population.

To even understand this fantastic character better, and also get to know whatever similarities you might share with him, let’s take a walk down this blog together and see all that there is to know about him, including a detailed description of his looks, character, and others. I promise this will definitely be worth your while.

I guess I should start off with just some small details you probably didn’t know about him, which are:

Character Style

Suguru Geto

Let me picture his physical appearance without coming off as funny or clownish. But just know this guy is always going about with a very serious look on his face. But other than that, he is a tall, slender young man with long hair partly attached to his head as the rest drapes his back. And he also has cute black eyes and bangs that cover the left eye sometimes.

What about his ears? Well, the earlobes are just sufficiently enough to accommodate huge circular pendants. And he has significantly shorter hair when he was a student, back then in 2006. But most of his hair was still obvious, albeit wrapped up. And since he turned to a Curse User in August 2007, his hair started to grow and represent how long it was in 2017.

He actually did look funnier back when he was still a student. You know why? He used to wear a regular, Jujutsu High uniform back then. And he hides the proper attractions as he masks himself behind the sham of a Buddhist Monk. He also flaunts a  gold Kusaya dress on Black Yukata dresses. But oh man! His monk’s outfit is finished with really cool Zori Sandals and Tabi Socks.

Suguru’s Nature

you monkey suguru geto

It is pretty obvious Suguru has issues with non-sorcerers. We already know he calls them monkeys. But then his belief that sorcerers were the higher race and also the next phase of human development was pretty absurd. Considering the fact that even the entire Jujutsu Sorcerers in the world are a very minute fraction in the entire human race, numbering less than 1% of the entire human population.

But give it to him to be arrogant, and to also use phony persons to attract atrocities to weak victims. He also did attach a certain repugnant (I don’t know if that word is even right in this case, as he never liked the smell of ordinary human beings) smell to all humans, and to show his disgust, he showered himself to eradicate the “monkey smell”. And to him, “monkeys” had just two functions, money-gathering monkeys and curse-gathering monkeys. He would happily let curses kill them without guilt if they didn’t fulfill his desires. [1]

suguru geto classmates

On the other hand, He took great care of his classmates, referring to the commanders as his family. They still seek for him to put sorcerers first and had hopes of him becoming the ruler of the world of Jujutsu

Although he typically stated this among one of his false people, he was even courteous to his Jujutsu magicians. He said that Yuta Okkotsu was nice with the purpose of murdering him in the future and soon after he expressed his friendly attitude, he insulted one of his buddies.

Suguru told Yuta that sorcerers are living in a contradiction that dominates the weak. Jujutsu sorcerers live without any gratitude to help non-sorcerers. Humanity has impeded its development and humanity needs to realize a world of sorcerers alone by murdering any non-sorcerers to guarantee their existence as a race and to eliminate curses. [2]

suguru geto crying

Suguru wept and voiced the pleasure of beating Yuta’s peers after he had seen youth wizards worked together to defend one another. He wept with a crazy grin and declared it to be the kind of world he desired. He said that he had no intention of killing Yuta, but had no option in his vision for the future[3]

He also stated in the battle against Yuta how he thought it was stupid for humanity to establish the idea of gods when sorcerers exist already. [4] He was appalled at his pretentious life, as he believed that they did not want to acknowledge the better physical creatures. [5] Then Satoru faced his former best friend and confided in Suguru that he was not able to destroy young sorcerers’ potential.

Finally, Suguru did use his last minute to inform Satoru that, no matter what when he was at Jujutsu High thinking about his time, in this world he just could not be glad. Suguru stated that in the end, Satoru ought to have cursed him, yet despite all that occurred there was still a connection between them. [6]

suguru geto and satoru

Initially, Suguru thought that jujutsu sorcerers were there to defend the non-sorcerers as a student of jujutsu, along with his closest buddy Satoru. Satoru claimed that Suguru was not supposed to feel proud of himself, since he was just and foolish to apply reason. Their ideological confrontation led them to debate as young men and to confront leaders. [7]

At that time, Suguru was a young man considerably more courteous and decent than Satoru. He recognized the value of manners and took his job as a jujutsu sorcerer with dignity. In his view, Satoru had too harsh an attitude.[8]

Satoru and Suguru were still the greatest friends, even if they did not agree every so often. They were encouraging one other to be the most powerful and sure that they could do anything as long as they were still friends. [9]

riko amanai death

But things started to shift after Riko Amanai’s death. The Star-Religious Group adherents cheered to the death of Riko, which was a terrible act. He chose not to shoot them since jujutsu sorcerers must have a reason to murder people.[10]

Suguru was trying to preserve his philosophy, but as time went on, his path became more uncertain. Satoru alone was the strongest and Suguru also began to do increasingly risky tasks. In a continuous exorcism and consumer cycle, he was impressed. Finally, he started wondering for whom the grotesques he had done were for and recalled the Star Religious Group’s non-sorcerers

That same day, he witnessed a disgusting evil and decided to defend it, an action he comes to regret by initially naming them “monkeys” as he remembers all the memories. [11]

Yuki Tsukumo taught Suguru

During a discussion, Yuki Tsukumo taught Suguru that the non-sorcerers are the primary cause of curses. In comparison with regular sorcerers, cursed energy circulates much freer from them. Yuki was either going to eliminate all mankind’s cursed energy or train all on how to manage it. This led to a third option for Suguru: to murder every single non-sorcerer.

When Yuki questioned Suguru if he disliked non-sorcerers, he couldn’t reply. He responded that he thought that it was right to defend the non-sorcerers, but started to wonder if they were worth defending.

Incapable of distinguishing the value and hideousness of the weak, Suguru balanced being a jujutsu magician to someone taking part in a race in which the end of the road is too ambiguous. She told him to pick between the part of him dedicated to becoming a magician and his opposite side that shuns non-magicians. [12]

Prowess and Abilities

four sorcerers of special grade

His General Skill:

In the world of sorcery, Suguru Geto was one of only four sorcerers of special grade, and he was widely regarded as the most pathetic of all curse users because of the degree of threat he posed to mankind, don’t forget we said he really does hate non-sorcerers. [15]

There are two guys you definitely don’t want to mess with, for their strengths and wits are really famed throughout the Jujutsu world. Satoru and Suguru were both regarded as “the strongest” among their peers while they were students.

suguru and yuta

Suguru was capable of putting expert curse users out of their misery in a short period with minimal effort on numerous occasions. [16] His cluster of cursed spirits was extensive, with a broad range of powers and combat roles to choose from to win battles. Suguru was not too reliant on his curses, and he was also a skilled close-range fighter who could take down any opponent.[17]

Suguru utilized his religion as bait for gathering thousands of afflicted souls throughout his tenure as a curse user. Over a decade, he was a greater danger to humankind than any other curse. Suguru was able to launch a war on Jujutsu High, the cornerstone of jujutsu society, with thousands of curses and numerous curse users on his side.[18]

suguru and yuta

Suguru knew he had a poor chance to beat all the High sorcerers of Jujutsu despite all his resources. His tactical mind enabled him to disappoint them and at the school itself to isolate Yuta Okkotsu

It was especially sad that Yuta was killed and Rika Orimoto, a particular degree revengeful ghost, was the objective of the Night Parade of Hundred Demons. [19]  Everyone does think that Suguru would have been successful if his curses were not divided between Kyoto and Shinjuku. [20]

shikigami and suguru

Expert Sorcerer:

Most opponents of Suguru believe that he is struggling like a shikigami user and allows him to assault his afflicted spirits. Suguru benefits from this misunderstanding about his technology, which lets him surprise opponents in a hand-to-hand battle with experts in martial arts.

Suguru permitted the proximity of an armored user to enable Suguru to pump them into a combination of strikes, palm strikes, and powerful chops to knock out his teeth and put his adversary in a bloody mouthpiece.[21]

Panda and Suguru

Panda was even outstripped by Suguru in a short interaction of purely physical strikes, a cursed corpse that prevails in near fighting.[22] During the Playful Cloud armor, Suguru faced Yuta and Rika, who were completely materialized, in close combat at the same moment. He could deflect Yuta’s sword attacks and physical assaults simultaneously while maintaining a superb ability in both. [23]

Master Tengen

Famed Intelligence:

Suguru Geto has always been a superb Jujutsu High student. Although Satoru would not have any important stuff to remember and to explain to him on Master Tengen as well as other particular parts of his assignments. [24]

His mind was skillfully translated into struggle, enabling him to always think of his opponent as a step forward. A significantly older curse user has tried to draw closer to the curse manipulator, only to tumble into Suguru’s ambush. [25]

Sorcerer Killer

Suguru succeeded in surprising the Sorcerer Killer for a minute in his combat with Toji Fushiguro. He moved after Toji knowing that his trust would maintain his watch and almost absorbed the stockpile curse as a means of stopping Toji’s arms stock. But Suguru could not have predicted this eventually backfired and allowed him to be exploited closely. [26]

Immediately after becoming a user of the curse, Suguru took over the remains of the Time Vessel Association and other religious groups with an equal mind. [27] In doing so, Suguru created a legitimate basis for cursed human beings to seek out exorcisms to absorb or exploit their curses. Over that period, Suguru might use this approach to amass hundreds of curses. [28]

Jujutsu High

With accumulated resources in a variety of strategic steps the entire Jujutsu High Wizard community has been taken over by Suguru. The Hundred Demons Night Parade effectively proclaimed war against the Jujutsu High and detonated all of its wizards in Kyoto and Shinjuku. In the meantime, Jujutsu high was contagious by Suguru to directly take Yuta Okkotsu. He realized that, initially, he was less than 20 percent victorious, but calculated with greater confidence his winning percentage with Rika. [29]

Jujutsu

Cursed Energy Alteration Manipulation

Cursed Energy Alteration:

Geto’s cursed energy is somewhat different from that of other sorcerers because of the essence of his method. [30] He is very well aware of the overall functioning of cursed energy and tactics.

Suguru is capable of controlling the waste [31] or, among other possibilities, of using it for energy in weapons [32]. He can also read without easy the flow of the cursed energy of many sorcerers. [33] Suguru is known for manipulating with high stores of cursed energy hundreds of curses at the same time.

Innate Technique

Cursed Energy Alteration Manipulation

Jurei Sojutsu (Cursed Spirit Alteration):

The method of Suguru lets him control the vagabond damned spirits, as its name suggests. Driven curses are trapped in little black spheres, to be used orally by Suguru. Suguru may accept a jinx with no effects if the grade difference is higher than two levels. [34] He may also absorb the curses of another sorcerer as long as the master kills him first. [35]

Gokunoban Uzumaki (Mazimum Uzumaki)

Gokunoban Uzumaki (Mazimum Uzumaki):

The highest Curse Manipulation method combines a huge amount of curses collected into a devastating assault. In the height of his struggle with Yuta and Rika, Suguru utilized almost 4,000 curses in his utmost technique. [36]

Tobari (Curtain)

Tobari (Curtain):

A sort of barrier that is hidden from the external world across a vast region. Suguru can create curtains that imprison sorcerers within it and could do it through another lesser witch’s barrier. Don’t be scared though, he doesn’t use either of these powers on kids or his fans. Hahaha! [37]

Equipment

Yu-Un (Playful Cloud):

Yu-Un (Playful Cloud):

Suguru utilized a special grade gadget to battle Rika and Yuta simultaneously. He could efficiently block, parry and counter-attack both opponents with the three-section personnel at the same time. [38]

Past/History

Geto and Shoko Ieiri and Satoru Gojo

On December 7, 1989, Satoru Gojo was born. After his birth, the power balance changed and Gojo got a bounty and was attacked by hunting bounty. In his sophomore year as a student, after hearing about them in two days, Gojo together with Shoko and Geto went to see Mei Mei and Utahime.

  •         Gojo’s Past Arc:

Geto and Shoko Ieiri and Satoru Gojo participated in the Magic College Competition. Gojo, Geto, and Shoko went to Utahime and Mei Mei for a second year of his schooling after two days of not hearing about them. Geto attends a discussion with Gojo and Shoko after saving Mei Mei, Utahime and battling with the ghost, where Masamichi blames Gojo for not having created the screen.

Later, Gojo and Geto debate the significance of setting up a screen in the class with Shoko and Gojo. Gojo and Geto then argue over the strong weak protector, which leads to fighting.

Then Masamichi appears and assigns Tengen’s task to Gojo and Geto. Masamichi shares the value of the work with both of them and how they will have to seek for two groups to stop them. Once Gojo and Geto have been briefed on the assignment, they leave.

Relationships

suguru geto lonely

As of the time of writing this blog, this young man wasn’t shown to have any love interest. He didn’t have anyone special, which makes sense since he defines all relationships and acquaintances by how much he stands to gain from it. The only person he had with him was Satoru Gojo and a few colleagues from Jujutsu High.

Other than that, he praised Mei Mei a little for her unique cursed energy and abilities. Who knows? This might be it?

Plot

Masamichi Yaga and suguru geto

Suguru Geto appears as an adversary in both the Jujutsu Kaisen and its predecessor, JJK Manga. He was initially a pupil of Masamichi Yaga’s at Tokyo Jujutsu High, with Shoko Ieiri and Satoru Gojo. Suguru’s past as a jujutsu wizard instilled in him an intense hatred towards non-sorcerers, culminating in the slaughter of over a hundred citizens in a night. He got dismissed at Jujutsu High and earned the status of being the worst curse user.

Synopsis

Geto and Shoko Ieiri and Satoru Gojo

Cursed Drilling Arc:

The individual posing as Geto would eventually collaborate with Jogo, Hanami, and Dagon. They discuss the afflicted spirit’s intention to exterminate all humans and the steps necessary to accomplish that objective.

Geto says that to do this, they must render Gojo incapable of fighting and enlist Sukuna’s assistance. Geto then describes how they would need to imprison Gojo inside the powerful cursed enchantment Prison Realm, however, Jogo becomes thrilled and offers to murder Gojo in return for the item.

Later, Geto and Hanami witness Jogo’s battle with Gojo. When Jogo is cornered, Geto flees while Hanami attempts to rescue him. Geto then makes his way to the spot where Mahito is. After Jogo and Hanami appear, Geto explains that they now understand that the attack on Gojo is timed and location-specific.

Additionally, Geto informs him that they might seal Gojo by October 31st inside Shibuya or he’d contact them with additional information later, which Mahito agrees to.

Geto runs into Yuji and Junpei

Against Mahito Arc

A few days later, a man posing as Geto runs into Yuji and Junpei near the river. He would then inquire about Mahito following his encounter with Nanami. The two subsequently planted one of Sukuna’s fingers in Junpei’s apartment, triggering the death of Junpei’s mother by a cursed ghost.

Junpei’s relationship with Mahito and his sadness is used to convince him that this incident was orchestrated by a classmate. Mahito and Noritoshi stand by as Junpei assaults his classmates after unleashing his cursed energy.

Mahito built the barrier around the school to keep weak humans out and prevent them from entering, much as Noritoshi conceals his residuals.

The aim is that if Junpei and Yuji fight, Yuji will be forced to take a binding promise with Sukuna, which would aid them in convincing Sukuna to cooperate. Noritoshi departed following the talk. Sukuna’s plot would finally fail, and Mahito would escape the scene.
