Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun is a popular isekai anime series that first aired last 2019. So far, the anime currently has 3 seasons while the most recent one is now airing as of this writing. This anime showcases a lot of demons in their world and some of them are even references to demonic beings we may or may not be familiar with in real life such as Azazel, Baal, Asmodeus, and a whole lot more!

But one of the questions is who are deemed as the strongest ones in this show? And that is what we’re going to see in this blog of the strongest characters in Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun!

16. Amy Kirio
Amy Kirio is one of the demon students attending Babyls Demon School and he may look weak for his physical appearance but he’s a great schemer since he was once one of the main antagonists in the series.
One of Kirio’s abilities is to create barriers or magical walls that are totally impenetrable to any kind of attacks. As long as Kirio stays focused on maintaining the barrier. Other than that, his barrier is not just any type of shield out there since it can only be destroyed by demons who are ranked as Yod which is the highest rank of all (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Episode 18)!
15. Azazel Ameri
Babyls Demon School’s Student Council Pres is none other than Azazel Ameri! She’s the lead female character in the series and is the main character’s love interest. Ameri started off as a girl who’s always cold and intimidating when interacting with anyone around her, but everything in her personality changed when she met Iruma and has become a bit of a tsundere at times instant (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 60).
What makes Azazel Ameri strong is because of her inherited magic from the Azazel Bloodline. This ability is called Romanticist and it allows her to use her own power to its maximum potential. Romanticist is only exclusive to the Azazel family and is considered as one of the best support buff skills that anyone can have!
14. Asmodeus Alice
Asmodeus Alice is one of Iruma Suzuki’s most trusted friends and he even proclaims to be his personal servant. Other than that, he is also a student of the same school that Iruma attends and is part of the Abnormal Class, a class filled with delinquent students.
One of Alice’s notable abilities is his Fire Magic and he is actually quite an expert at it! He can even create blue flames that can absorb other types of flames and can strengthen him in the process. After he trained with Balam Shichiro, he learned a new skill called Wicked Phase where he gets to use his maximum strength to the fullest (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 19)!
13. Shiida
Shiida is one of the characters introduced during the Walter Park Arc and made her first appearance by saving Iruma from getting invited by a shady Demon. She was also a part of the Six Members serving under Baal in order to free Amy Kirio (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 72).
When it comes to her abilities, Shiida possesses incredible physical prowess such as super strength and enhanced reflexes! She can break solid structures with a single kick and can easily dodge any form of attacks.
12. Sabnock Sabro
Sabnock Sabro is one of the demons in the Abnormal Class along with Iruma,Alice and Valak. He dreams of becoming a Demon King in the future because he doesn’t want to take the same path that his father took who has no ambition at all.
One of Sabnock Sabro’s unique skills is called Weapon Creation. It is an ability unique to the Sabnock Family and with this power, they can create any kind of weapon in an instant. Due to Sabro’s large build, he also has strong skin making him quite a good defender against deadly weapons! Just like Alice, Sabro also learned the skill, Wicked Phase where he can use his full potential as a demon (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 256).
11. Atori
Just like Shiina, Atori is also a member of the Six Fingers under Baal. He was one of the people tasked to sneak into Ouroboros Prison to help Amy Kirio escape. Eventually, he and Shiina also posed as faculty members in Iruma’s school to steal any objects left by the previous Demon King (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 71).
Atori also has insane physical abilities that makes him on par with Rank 8 demons. As a spider demon, he can also create webs that he can use in his battles to restrain his enemies.

10. Iruma Suzuki
First off is Iruma Suzuki, the main protagonist of the series himself! Iruma Suzuki is a human being who got dragged into the demon world by none other than Lord Sullivan. He was asked to attend a Demon School by Sullivan and in surprise to Iruma, he is actually a candidate in becoming the next ruler as the Demon King!
Even though Iruma is a human, he possesses above average skills than a normal human such as having an incredible adrenaline rush allowing him to evade most enemy attacks and add to that his superhuman regeneration since he can heal any wounds in an instant (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Episode 4).
What makes him a part of this list is because of him having Delkira’s Mana. Delkira was once a Demon King in their world and was deemed as the most powerful of all demonkind. So, this means that Iruma has hidden potential to even become the strongest of all (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 267)!
9. Lady Vepar
Lady Vepar is one of Babyls Demon Academy’s professors and she takes the form similar to a yokai called kappa. As a professor in the academy, Lady Vepar possesses powerful abilities especially elements related to water. With her water manipulation skill, she can easily control any type of water against her enemies (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 95).
8. Balam Shichiro
One of the teachers in Babyls Academy is Balam Shichiro and he teaches Demonic History and Mythical Zoology to his students. Balam has an intimidating look for a teacher since you’ll easily mistake him as an antagonist. He wears a gas mask on his mouth and adds to that his long white hair making him look more frightening (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 62).
As for his abilities, Balam has a power called Buzzer or Chimes of Deception. This allows him to see through the lies of any of his targets. Other than that, he can also control vines and has incredible combat capabilities. Balam is also a Rank 8 Demon proving that he is actually one of the strongest.
7. General Furfur
General Furfur is another professor in the demon academy and is an alumnus of Jackapo Institute. He has an image of a real demon due to his devilish horns and red-colored skin. He was also one of the characters introduced in the 3rd season of the series (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 95)!
As a general, Furfur is an expert in combat tactics making him a real veteran. He even trained some of the characters such as Andro Jazz, Allocer Schneider, and the Dorodoro brothers. Even though his powers are not yet shown, he’s expected to be one of the most powerful demons in the show!
6. Naberius Kalego
The homeroom professor of Iruma’s class is Naberius Kalego. Just like Balam, Naberius can also be quite antagonistic to other people because of his short fuse and scary vibes. Even teachers avoid him because of his purely negative aura (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 2)!
What makes Kalego deserving in this list is because he’s a Rank 8 Demon. A Rank 8 is already considered as one of the strongest because the highest is Rank 10. He’s known to effectively have an expertise in different kinds of abilities such as Barrier, Lightning, and Conjure Magic. His Bloodline Magic is Kalegos’s trump card because he can summon a three-headed beast called Cerberion to battle against his enemies (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 219) .

5. Opera
Opera is the demon secretary of Lord Sullivan in the series. Most of the time she’s the one who manages the household chores in Sullivan’s house and even helps him sometimes in his paperworks. However, Opera’s demon rank is unknown but the only thing that gave a hint regarding how strong she is was Kalego’s fear towards her. Since Kalego and Opera were stated to be former classmates, Opera is expected to be of the same rank as him or even higher than that (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 68)!
As for Opera’s abilities, she has incredible superhuman strength and speed. These skills of hers were shown when she fought against Rat together with Ameri. She can even cast a defensive barrier strong enough to resist the Composite Magical Beast’s attack (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 2, Episode 17).
4. Amduscias Poro
Amduscias Poro is a demon who’s almost as tall as the previous Demon King, Derkila. He has a horn on his forehead similar to a unicorn’s and has a demonic look because of his pointed ears and sharp-looking eyes. Poro’s rank is not yet revealed but he is known to be the former classmate of Derkila, who was deemed as one of the most powerful demons. He is also a part of the 13 Crowns which consists of the strongest demons (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 163)!
Some of Poro’s unique skills is that he has a very strong sense of hearing because he can feel the different heartbeats of every person! He also uses Music Magic by using his wand as a conductor and some of its effects is that it can give off a loud gong-like sound that can stall the enemy from its movements (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 263).
3. Lady Levi
Lady Levi is one of the Three Great Demons of the Underworld and is definitely one of the most powerful being in the realm. Even though her combat abilities were not yet revealed, her demonic rank already says it all because she’s actually a Rank 10 demon! Levi is also the Levialon Academy’s principal who teaches disciplined students as part of the Underwater academy (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 23).
2. Lord Belial
Lord Belial is another demon of the Three Greats and is just as old as Levi and Sullivan. He takes the appearance of an old man in his retirement years wearing a tiger-striped shirt with a coat on top of it. He has a demon rank of 10 and is expected to be as strong as Levi (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 23).
Just like Lady Levi, Lord Belial also has unknown skills and abilities. Hopefully, they are yet to be revealed in the future chapters of the series.
1. Lord Sullivan
Lastly is Lord Sullivan, the principal of Babyls Demon Academy and is one of the strongest beings in the Underworld. He became Iruma’s grandfather after he adopted him. Sullivan is a bald-headed demon wearing a purple coat and doesn’t seem very intimidating compared to the professors in Babyls Academy. He is also one of the candidates to be Demon King in the series (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 207).
His known abilities is his power to control gravity, time, and can even teleport anywhere he wants! As a Rank 10 demon, Sullivan also has high amounts of magical reserves and can probably last very long in battles. As per Amduscias, it is even possible that Sullivan could be Derkila’s subordinate hinting that he could be more powerful than we thought (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Chapter 93)!
CONCLUSION
When it comes to demons in anime, people always expect them to be strong because of how they were portrayed in different mythological stories and the same thing goes for this anime series of Iruma-kun! Even though some of their combat abilities are still not known, their ranking system easily determines how powerful they are in the show!
