Tokyo Revengers Story
Takemichi Hanagaki was a shut-in Neet who had no job and was wasting away his life without being productive in any way. He had been at the peak of his life 12 years ago when he was in middle school. He had a lively group of friends who respected him. Also, he was a gang member who was feared back then. That was the best part of his life. However, his life changed immediately when he hit adulthood. Now he’s nothing but a struggling loser.
While the present Takemichi Hanagaki is wandering around, he gets to know about the death of his former girlfriend from middle school, Hinata Tachibana. He felt extremely saddened after getting to know the news and started remembering his past when he was still in middle school. While Takemichi is drowned in his thoughts, he’s pushed onto the rail tracks and a train runs over him. However, instead of dying, Takemichi finds himself 12 years in the past when he was at the highest point of his life.
He finds the situation very weird. Anyway, he finds out about this whole scenario from Hinata Tachibana’s little brother, Naoto Tachibana, that by shaking hands with him, Takemichi was able to travel back in time. It’s the only way both Naoto and Takemichi can save Hinata’s life.
As Takemichi struggles to fit into his past self, he comes across two gang members named Mikey and Draken who save him while he was getting beaten.
Now, Mikey has taken an interest in Takemichi and wants to hang around with him. Takemichi soon realizes that Mikey could be his key to saving Hinata’s life and sticks around with Mikey. Takemichi was also able to travel back to the future after shaking hands with Naoto. Now, as Takemichi’s past self changes his course of action in the past, the future timeline changes and it gives Takemichi a ray of hope that he might be able to save Hinata from dying. He vows to Naoto that he will save Hinata no matter how many times he has to travel back and forth into the past and the future.
Takemichi must proceed with care as he has the key to traveling to the past and the future and he’s the only one who can change the course of events happening. It could either make or break his life.
