The Promised Neverland Story

The Promised NeverlandThe Promised Neverland takes us to this peculiar orphanage that is gated and away from society. The orphans there were looked after by “Mama” Isabella. The children there are very happy with their lives. They’re given good food and great rooms to live in. They also take tests every day. They can play outside as long as they don’t go very far away from the orphanage. They’re even getting adopted after every few months.

Life is all rainbow and sunshine for them until the three oldest children at the orphanage got to know about the sinister secret about the orphanage. The children that were getting adopted were not really adopted. They were given to the demons that feasted on them.  They slowly get to know the twisted nature of their Mama Isabella and decide to escape that orphanage. However, they’re always outsmarted by Isabella who has an idea about them trying to escape. Will they be able to escape the orphanage and be free once and for all?

The Promised Neverland Characters

1. Emma

EMMAEmma is one of the protagonists of the series. She’s a very positive, cheerful, friendly, and caring little girl who always thinks of others before herself. She could be seen taking care of the younger children at the orphanage. The younger ones admire her greatly and see her as their elder sister.

When Emma knew about the secret of the orphanage, she was devastated and cried her eyes out. However, she soon came to her senses and promised not to cry again. She’s seen to hold her opinions strongly, not caring about anyone in front of her. She’s also shown to be very brave when it comes to facing her opponent. She would always prioritize the lives of her siblings over her own.

Emma is one of the top test scorers of the orphanage and is very intelligent overall. However, she has shown some of her absolutely adorable airhead tendencies. She does not panic under tough situations and is able to make decisions super-fast. Emma is also very forgiving and empathetic. She didn’t hate Ray for being a traitor but accepted him again as his friend. Emma never backed down no matter what. She believed in herself and all of her loved ones and believed that they could do anything together. Overall, Emma is a literal ray of sunshine.

NORMAN

Norman is shown to be a very kind-hearted and calm individual who never lost his cool no matter what. Just like Emma, Norman also cared deeply for his siblings at the orphanage. He’s a reliable kid who can take care of others really well. Norman also wants to save others from the demons that were waiting to feast on the children who were being deported one by one. However, he was realistic in his approach and wanted to escape with a handful of children as it would be easier for them to escape. Other than that, Norman is very protective and loyal, always looking out for his fellow orphans.

3. Ray

RAYRay appears to be a very cold and reserved individual who doesn’t like talking much. He doesn’t play with other orphans and instead spends most of his time reading books. He’s not very patient and often becomes very blunt with Emma and Norman. He’s not a softie like them and is a realist. Ray always does everything with logic. He doesn’t do things recklessly like Emma. But he does care about his fellow orphans and wants them out of the orphanage to save their lives.

3. Isabella

isabellaIsabella is the caretaker of the orphans at the Grace Field Orphanage. She’s a very cold and calculated woman who apparently is very nice to all the orphans and often shows fragments of her twisted personality. She always outsmarts Emma, Norman, and Ray no matter what their plan is because her wits are unmatchable. Despite her twisted personality, Isabella does love her foster children which we found out by the end of the series. Overall, Isabella is one of the Smartest Promised Neverland Characters
