One Punch Man Story
One Punch Man introduces us to a man named Saitama who always wanted to become a hero. For that, he trained hard and ended up becoming the strongest hero. However, nobody knew about his strength. He was able to defeat anybody with a single punch. That’s how strong he became. Now, he no longer gets excited fighting because he’s too overpowered for any enemy he comes across.
Saitama is able to attract the attention of a Cyborg named Genos. He requests Saitama to train him because he wants to be as strong as Saitama. Saitama refuses at first but after constant pestering, he agrees to train Genos and allows Genos to stay with him at his home.
Genos tells Saitama that they should join the Hero Association in order to become certified heroes. Saitama agrees and both join the Hero Association, starting their brand new lives as heroes and going on never-ending adventures.
One Punch Man Characters
Saitama
Saitama appears to be a clueless guy who doesn’t really show any kind of expression. As he’s too overpowered, he’s bored of his life as a hero. He suffered from an existential crisis because of facing a weak opponent. He didn’t really find any kind of meaning in anything, thus spending his days getting bored and without any kind of excitement. However, Saitama does care for those who are close to him, especially Genos, and is always there to help others.
Genos
Genos is a 19-year-old Cyborg who respects Saitama and wants to be like him. Like Saitama, Genos is also expressionless most of the time. He remains serious and calm. He’s very devoted to his training and works very hard in order to become stronger. He doesn’t believe that Saitama grew stronger because of his unbelievable training. According to him, there’s some other secret that Saitama will only do at the right time. Overall, Genos is a very brave guy who is always there for the people who need his help.
Garou
Garou is a very confident and bold guy. He’s shown to be evil but in reality, he’s not. He hates heroes because he believes that they’re popular and always win in the end. He possesses a sense of morality despite being a villain. He hates being insulted and doesn’t have any kind of mercy on those who have insulted him. Garou and Saitama are similar in a way that both of them have a strong sense of justice. Overall, Garou has a complicated personality and is not that bad of a person.
