Jujutsu Kaisen Plot
The anime introduces us to Itadori Yuji who is a high school student. He had no family except for his ailing grandpa. While his grandpa was on his deathbed, he told Itadori to always be helpful towards others and to be surrounded by people while he’s dying.
At school, Yuji isn’t really into a lot of clubs. He’s only a part of the Occult Club along with his two friends. One day, they ended up unsealing a strange talisman that was apparently a finger of a powerful cursed spirit named Ryomen Sukuna. In order to protect his friends, Itadori swallowed the finger, making himself Sukuna’s host.
Itadori started becoming Sukuna at Sukuna’s will and that was proving quite dangerous for everyone else. Knowing this whole situation, Satoru Gojou, a teacher at the Tokyo Jujutsu High School brought him to the school where various students are training to become Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to exorcise evil spirits.
The superiors of the school wanted to kill Itadori Yuji immediately because of Sukuna residing within him. However, Gojo was able to persuade them into delaying their decision to kill Itadori until he had consumed all of Sukuna’s fingers. This way, they would be able to kill that powerful spirit. The superiors agreed and accepted Gojo’s proposal.
Meanwhile, there were a bunch of evil spirits that were planning their attack on the Jujutsu Sorcerors as well as other innocent humans. Geto and Mahito were the masterminds behind the attacks.
We’re introduced to a few Jujutsu Sorcerers from the Kyoto Jujutsu High School and there’s an exchange event between the two. The principal of the Kyoto Jujutsu High wanted Itadori dead because of the threat he could possibly pose. However, the students refrained from killing Itadori despite orders from above.
The exchange event is interrupted by a bunch of powerful spirits sent by Geto and Mahito who gave our sorcerers a hard time. Meanwhile, Hanami, an evil spirit, managed to flee from Gojo’s deadly attack. Things went back to normal soon after the spirits attacked.
After a while, it is revealed that Megumi’s sister being in a coma is related to a certain curse. While on the other hand, Geto and Mahito awaken a curse by the name of Curse Womb: Death Paintings.
Nobara, Itadori, and Megumi face off against three powerful spirits. Megumi fights against a special grade curse while Itadori and Nobara fight against two evil spirits that are also brothers. Megumi is able to defeat the special grade curse after a lot of struggle and obtains Sukuna’s finger before passing out.
While Itadori and Nobara are facing the two cursed womb brothers Eso and Kechizu, the duo got infected by their curse which is rotting away their bodies in minutes. However, Nobara unleashes her special attack, and both Itadori and her overpower the two spirits—killing them in the end.
After their fight, they realize that both those cursed brothers were actually humans and not spirits. The two go to Megumi who tells Itadori to not consume the finger right away. However, Itadori eats the finger immediately before he could even react.
