Where To Start Fire Force Manga After Anime?
After watching the second season of Fire Force, you can start reading Chapter 174 of the manga which is titled “Signs of Upheaval”. As the anime misses some events as well as rearranges them, you might not have any idea what you’re watching so you must be aware of that as well.
FIRE FORCE HISTORY
Fire Forces is originally a manga series that is written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo. It started serializing in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from September 2015 and ended in February 2022.
An anime series of Fire Force was released in July 2019 which ended in December 2019. A second season of the anime was released in July 2020 to December 2020.
FIRE FORCE STORY
Fire Force introduces to us a phenomena known as Spontaneous Human Combustion which turns humans into burning creatures called Infernals. There are other humans who can produce and use flames at will. These are known as Pyrokinetics. In order to eradicate the Infernals, a new Special Fire Force came into being that involved the Tokyo Armed Forces, Fire Defense Agency, and the Holy Church.
We’re introduced to a pyrokinetic, Shinra Kusakabe, who becomes a member of the Special Fire Force. Shinra has only one goal, to become a great hero and to save the lives of the people who were threatened by the Infernals. As his family died due to these Infernals, Shinra was all up for revenge. However, his duty as a hero is not as easy as he thought it to be.
FIRE FORCE CHARACTERS
Shinra Kusakabe
Shinra is the main protagonist of the series. He’s a very confident, bold and brave guy who wants to become a hero in order to help others. He’s very proud of his willingness to devote his life for others. When it comes to combat, he’s quite impulsive and acts without any delay when push comes to shove. He’s a very intelligent guy who analyzes everything before acting on his own. He gets angry whenever he’s reminded of the unfortunate demise of his family at the hands of Infernals and gets aggressive with them. Shinra is very caring towards his loved ones and always helps them whenever they need it. Overall, Shinra is a very level-headed and reliable guy. He’s also one of the Strongest Fire Force Characters!
Tamaki Kotatsu
Tamaki appears to be a very loud and energetic girl but she’s very kind towards children and other members of her team. She tends to lose her temper quickly and resorts to violence when annoyed. She’s also shown to be a little clumsy which often lands her into embarrassing situations. When it comes to strength, Tamaki is very strong. However, she’s insecure about her abilities as a Firefighter, and she always compares her strength with others. Despite her insecurities, Tamaki is a very courageous lady who does not hesitate fighting stronger opponents and never backs down.
Iris
Iris is a sister from the Holy Church of Sol and is extremely kind and sweet. She’s shown to lean towards religion and is very nice towards others. Though she’s not as strong as the other Fire Fighters, Iris does not hesitate jumping right into the battlefield when the circumstances ask for it. She’s very self-sacrificial and prioritizes others before her. She’s also a very nurturing and good-natured individual who is always helpful towards her peers. Other than that, Iris appears to be a bit naive and shy which is absolutely adorable.
Benimaru Shinmon
Sho Kusakabe
Sho appears to be a very cold and distant guy who doesn’t really care about anyone else, even his own family. He’s aware of Shinra being his blood brother but he’s not really attached to him in any way. He’s just curious about him. Sho is a very calm and collected guy. He never loses his cool even when he’s taken by surprise. After he gets his memories back, Sho feels connected to Shinra and accepts him. He became more emotional after becoming his original self.
Maki Oze
Maki is a very calm, cool and capable Fire Fighter. She’s very kind towards her fellow team members and is also very helpful towards them. She has a muscular body which she’s super insecure about. When anyone makes fun of how she looks, she gets furious. Despite her tough exterior and intimidating aura, Maki doesn’t like hurting others. She also appears to be afraid of the dark. Maki is such a cutie!
