Demon Slayer has broken records all around the world because of its immense popularity. It’s hard finding someone who is not a fan of Demon Slayer. Anyways, the latest Demon Slayer Anime Season which was titled “Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc” concluded earlier in 2022. Another season is announced as well but if you’re one of those who can’t wait to find out about the events happening next, we feel you. Where To Start Demon Slayer Manga After Entertainment District Arc Anime?
The Entertainment District Arc featured the battle of our beloved Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, along with our Demon Slayers, against Daki and Gyutaro, the two Upper Rank Six Demons. As the series ended, we saw Kagaya celebrating the victory of our heroes. Akaza, on the other hand, seemed worried because he was summoned to the Infinity Castle by Muzan which meant that an Upper Moon was defeated. You can exactly start at Volume 12, Chapter 98 which is entitled “The Upper Ranks Gather.” The whole arc extends up to Chapter 127 titled “Rumbles of Success.” If you want to go further into the manga, you may read the succeeding arcs consisting of Hashira Training Arc, Final Battle Arc, and the Sunrise Countdown Arc. These 3 arcs cover Chapter 128 until chapter 205 which is the last chapter.
Before that, there is also a Movie title “Kimetsu no Yaiba: To the Swordsmith Village” which features cut episodes from episode 10 and 11 of season 2 and a sneak peak of episode 1 of the Swordsman Village Arc and introduce it to the viewers. The movie ran for 1 hour and 50 minutes and aired on February 3, 2023. Surprisingly, as far as we have watched, the anime adaptation follows the sequence of events in the manga which most fans are very delighted with.
Demon Slayer History
Demon Slayer is originally a manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It started serializing in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2016. It ended in May 2020. There are a total of 23 volumes of Demon Slayer Manga.
An anime adaptation of the manga was released in April 2019 and ended in September of the same year with 26 episodes. In October 2020, a movie titled Demon Slayer Mugen Train was released. The second season of Demon Slayer was released in October 2021 and Ended in February 2022. It had a total of 11 episodes. A third season titled “The Swordsmith Village Arc” is announced to be released in April of 2023 but no definite date as of yet and also the number of episodes is not yet confirmed. Demon Slayer Story
Demon Slayer introduces us to a young boy named Tanjiro Kamado who lives in a remote snowy mountain along with his family. After the death of his father, Tanjiro shouldered the family’s responsibility. One night when he was away, his whole family was slaughtered by a demon named Muzan Kinutsuji. Only his sister named Nezuko Kamado was left to live. However, she had turned into a demon herself. But what if we tell you that Tanjiro is also a demon?
While Nezuko became a blood-thirsty demon, she was able to retain some of her humanity and avoided attacking humans. Tanjiro gets to know that he could save his sister and decides to become a Demon Slayer in order to exterminate all the Demons. He meets Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira along his way who join him on his venture. They will have to go through really rough training as well as face deadly demons before they could reach their goal. Their adventures have only just begun.
Demon Slayer Characters
1. Tanjiro Kamado
Tanjiro is the main character of the series. He’s a very gentle, kind, and reliable young man. He proves to be very helpful to his fellow demon slayers and cares deeply for them. He had to become mature earlier because of his father’s death and took care of his family very well. He was very sensitive about Nezuko and couldn’t see her hurting in any way. He was the perfect protective elder brother for Nezuko. Tanjiro was prone to becoming very emotional at certain instances. He used to sympathize with his enemies and didn’t like shedding blood. But at one point, he had to start killing his enemies despite him not wanting to. Because of his weakness, he had to suffer a lot but he was finally able to get over it. Did Tanjiro really die in the end? Find out what happened to the beloved Demon Slayer character.
2. Nezuko Kamado
Nezuko is the younger sister of Tanjiro and is a very sweet and gentle girl. However, when she became a demon, she got very aggressive and started attacking everyone around her. She was able to retain some of her humanity due to Tanjiro and refrained from attacking humans. Even when she was tested, she didn’t drink human blood. Nezuko is fearless as a Demon. She has helped our heroes a lot. She also becomes quite powerful sometimes and is only controlled by Tanjiro singing her some lullaby. She can change her size at will and that helps her a lot during combat. Nezuko is truly such a sweetheart. Additionally, don’t miss out on some of her most emotional quotes!
3. Zenitsu Agatsuma
Zenitsu Agatsuma is one of the companions Tanjiro is travelling with. Zenitsu appears to be very cowardly, avoiding most dangerous situations. However, he can’t really run away from them so he tries to face them. In his normal form, he’s not able to fight demons easily. However, when he’s sleeping deeply, he becomes unbeatable. He’s fearless in that form. Zenitsu is also shown to be very flirty with girls. He is always looking for some girl to hit on with. Overall, Zenitsu is a nice guy who went through character development and became very strong in the process.
4. Inosuke Hashibira
Inosuke Hashibira is one of the travelling companions of Tanjiro along with Zenitsu Agatsuma. He’s rash, bold and fearless. Inosuke also has a very nasty temper and tends to use violence on anyone who irritates him. As he was raised by boars, Inosuke lacked basic manners. He didn’t even know how to eat in front of everyone. Inosuke doesn’t hesitate to challenge anyone no matter how strong his opponent is. He’s never afraid to jump right into the battlefield knowing very well that his opponent is stronger than him. Inosuke didn’t trust Tanjiro and Zenitsu at first but because of Tanjiro’s kindness, he was able to open up to them.
Conclusion
Demon Slayer Manga is not to be missed and you can already start reading chapter 98 of the twelfth volume. The Swordsmith Village Arc is definitely going to be one of the most interesting arcs of Demon Slayer.
