Release Date 2022: The Saga Of Tanya The Evil Season 2

RELEASE DATE

Saga of Tanya The Evil Season 2

The first season of the anime, which showed 12 episodes, premiered last January 2017. It was followed by a special sequel entitled The Saga of Tanya the Evil: The Movie.

Although there are rumours circulating about a specific date for the release of The Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2, those rumours remain as rumours for good, because of lack of confirmation from the Kadokawa, the production studio involved.

However, fans should certainly not be discouraged by that because even though there are no specifics about the release date, season 2 was already confirmed, from the renewal of the production company last June 2021. The predicted most probable date of release is Spring 2022 (March to May generally) or could be extended until June or July of this year 2022. I would definitely take this knowledge for now as an assurance. I understand it’s been 5 years and the release this year will be truly deserved.

Erich von Rerugen is a gifted professional soldier in the Imperial General Staff’s service. He served in the military till he was promoted to a high rank, specifically first lieutenant. Moreover, he worked as a military assistant inside the Allied Kingdom.

Tanya is viewed as deadly by Rerugen, and he has strongly kept her from any opportunity of combat or promotion based on her accomplishments for the Empire’s sake.

Despite his obvious disagreements with Tanya, his opinion of her shifted as they began to unite on uncommon and unusual strategies to stop the war. In the series, they are developed to be more friendly towards each other.

– Shinichiro Miki is actually a member of 81 Produce and he is a Tokyo-based voice actor. He is notable for his style of voice delivery which usually comes off calmly and smoothly on some of the characters he landed in. He is expected to be the Japanese voice of Rerugen for the 2nd season of Saga of Tanya the Evil. He was greatly credited as the voice of Roy Mustang from the anime, Fullmetal Alchemist.

– J. Michael Tatum is an American voice actor, and at the same time, director and script writer of ADR from Funimation, OkraTron 5000, and Bang Zoom! He will be the English voice of Rerugen and he previously worked for the voice in English of Sebastian Michaelis of the Black Butler, Rintaro Okabo from Steins;Gate, and of course, Kyoya Otori from Ouran HighSchool Host Club.

Tesshō Genda / Greg Dulcie as Rudersdorf

Rudersdorf

Kurt von Rudersdorf or popular in the series as Rudersdorf, is the Empire’s Deputy Chief of Operations and an officer also serving in the army of the Empire.

Tanya was the first person he heard about throughout the War College selection process, and she shocked and pleased him with her impressive profile. He wished her at his command and was disappointed when his colleague got to her first; nevertheless, he subsequently gave her the opportunity to seek his help whenever she was dissatisfied or troubled with her situation.

He views Tanya as a dependable and imaginative officer that their nation needs, but he also sees similarities between her and his granddaughter’s attitude which explains his soft spot for her.

– Tessho Genda is set to be the Japanese voice actor for Rudersdorf on the 2nd season of The Saga of Tanya the Evil. Just like Shinichiro Miki, he is also employed as a narrator and voice actor talent of 81 Produce. He is well known as the voice of Younger Toguro of YuYu Hakusho, Kaido of the massively popular One Piece, and the iconic Kurama/ Nine-tailed fox from Naruto.

– Greg Dulcie will be the English voice of Rudersdorf. Houchu Ohtsuka / Mark Stoddard as Zettour

Zettour

Hans von Zettour, also known as Zettois in the anime series, is an Imperial army officer who is now the General Staff Service Corps Deputy Director. Along with his companion, Rudersdorf, he is considered as a smart general with a sharp mind.

Tanya was seen by Zettour as a gifted young woman, and his fascination in her had risen since her War College selection assessment. With her prediction of world conflict, she surpassed his expectations, leaving him both amazed and afraid. Despite his concerns, Zettour chose to embark on the insane task of commanding a little girl.

If Tanya had been a man, Zettour says he might have cheerfully permitted her to marry his single granddaughter. He’s thoughtful enough to appoint a woman commanding officer, Visha.

– Known as the legendary voice of Jiraiya from Naruto, and previous works like Sato’s voice in Ajin: Demi-Human and Abuto from Gintama, Houchu Ohtsuka is set to lend his voice for Zettour for the second season of The Saga of Tanya the Evil. Otsuka is a voice talent and narrator from the management firm Crazy Box.

Saori Hayami / Jeannie Tirado as Visha

Visha

Visha was born as Viktoriya Ivanovna Serebryakov. She was posted to Platoon 3 within Tanya’s command during the Rhine battle. She was Tanya’s commandant once she’s sent to OCS and finished her crash training. She finally assumed control of one of the battalions’ companies after the unit sustained multiple losses throughout its various engagements.

She thinks Tanya is lovely and charming, and she appreciates her for being one of the Empire’s most loyal and devoted warriors. She never complains as her subject and always complies with her orders. Tanya, on the other hand, makes her fearful at times, especially when she acts forcefully with her employees.

When Visha first saw Tanya, she was struck by the contrast with her lovely, adorable looks and the sense of maturity and power she exuded. In her view, Tanya von Degurechaff was a Vampire, and she referred to her as such.

– Soari Hayami, aside from being a voice actress, is also a promising Japanese singer signed in I’m Entertainment as well as Warner Bro’s Home Entertainment Japan. PREDICTED PLOT

Saga of Tanya The Evil Plot

In the first season, we’ve known Tanya Degurechaff as a calculative and utilitarian Japanese salaryman reincarnated as a female child soldier. Prior to that, it highlighted a guy who, even after his death, is not convinced that God exists. As a result, he’s reborn as Tanya Degurechaff, an orphan girl.

Tanya is warned that if she does not die naturally, she’ll experience hell. As a result, she became a soldier in order to avoid the punishment. Her “Devil of the Rhine” name was coined from her almost evil (suggested by the title) way of killing after killing.

While others will try to hide in situations of warfare and hardships from an unusual power, this crazy fanatic child is unstoppable in finding her way to rise and find peace and comfort amidst war. She refuses to bow to any leaders, kings, and kingdoms. That’s how badass she is and that’s how the plot revolves.

Saga of Tanya The Evil Plot 1

In the second season, it is predicted that Tanya’s badass attitude in the army will continue. Despite the fact that Mary was beaten in the first season, she is set to come back stronger after recovering from her struggle with Tanya.

We’ll see Tanya develop into someone with a powerful position now that she’s in charge of “8th Kampfgruppe”, which will aid her whether she comes up against being a nobody or gains more loyal followers like Mary.

Please be aware that these are mere predictions and should not be taken as the real plot. However, we can get an idea or two from these on what is set to happen possibly on the next season.

There are so many things and factors to be considered for a series to renew another season. These may include critical acclamation, popular demand, budget, negotiations with the cast, the writers and the crew, and of course, the production. However, it will all boil down to the quality of the anime once it finally drops.

As for The Saga of Tanya the Evil, there were many expectations with its second season since “The Movie” sequel isn’t really enough and the storyline is still broken, not to mention the five-year gap to date between the season 2 and the last release.
