Hello everyone! Today, we’re back with another fantastic topic, or as we like to call it, fantastic news. As you may have guessed from the title, today we will be discussing the release date of Dragon Ball Super Season 2.
Everyone is familiar with Dragon Ball Z, and in my opinion, it is still one of the finest martial arts anime.

The first season of Dragon Ball Super aired in 2015. The show’s martial arts and fantastic action components are the key reasons why everyone is hooked on it. Furthermore, Dragon Ball Super contains several comedic scenes that will make you laugh.
The first season of Dragon Ball Super contained 131 episodes and lasted more than three years. Despite the fact that season 1 contains a large number of episodes, fans are still demanding for another season (I am one of them).
Let me give you a detailed recap of season 1 before I tell you about the release of season 2.

RECAP: SEASON 1 PLOT
Before we go into the release date of Dragon Ball Super season 2, let me give you a little recap of season 1. I don’t think there’s a single person in the world who hasn’t heard of Dragon Ball.
It is a fantastic anime from our childhood that is still considered to be one of the finest. This anime has a wide fan base and has been dubbed in almost every language. After the finale of Dragon Ball Z Kai, everyone demanded another season.
While others were chanting for Goku vs Vegeta, I had my sights set on Gohan. Anyways, the season comes to an end, and luckily for the fans, Dragon Ball Super was released. Let’s go through it in more depth.
Following the events of Dragon Ball and the death of Buu, the world has finally become a peaceful place. While Goku was still training at Kai’s residence, everyone lived in peace.
But after 7 years everything turned upside down when a God of Destruction named Beerus awakened on the other side of the universe.
Due to a prophecy of a new challenger, a Super Saiyan God, Beerus awakens from his sleep and travels to King Kai’s place with Whis to meet Goku.
When they met, they both challenged each other and began fighting, but Beerus was so powerful that he knocked the Super Saiyan 3 out with one hand. Following that, he headed to Earth to meet the surviving Saiyans in order to confront and battle the Super Saiyan God.
The Z fighters had never heard of the Super Saiyan God, so they called Shenron to find out more about him. To everyone’s surprise, Shenron said Super Saiyan God actually exists and 5 good-hearted Saiyans are required to give their power to the 6th Saiyan in order to perform this ritual.
Son Goku asked everyone to perform this ritual on him, and we all know what happened next. Fights, fights, and more fights. Many other warriors came to Earth in the first season so that they could gather dragon balls to revive Frieza (one of the best badass villains).
As all of this was happening, Son Goku revealed his new form, Super Saiyan Blue, but this time, it wasn’t just Goku who mastered new great techniques. Our favorite badass villain also introduced a new form called “Golden Frieza.”
Later, a tournament was announced to determine who would be the owner of the Super Dragon Balls (This tournament gives me nostalgic feelings).
Throughout the season, we saw a lot of new characters and great fights along with a healthy dose of comedy. Dragon Ball Super ran from Jul 5, 2015, to Mar 25, 2018, with 131 episodes, but the Dragon Ball fans were never satisfied.
Despite a huge number of episodes, the fans are still demanding a season 2 of Dragon Ball Super, and finally, after 4 years, we are getting a season 2 (I am so excited).
I’ve done my best not to reveal everything that happened in Dragon Ball Super since I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.
SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE
Let’s get to the main point now. Even though Dragon Ball Super Season 1 lasted with 131 episodes, fans couldn’t get enough of it (including myself). I never get bored of seeing Goku and his pals fighting with dangerous foes.
Immediately after Season 1 ended on March 25, 2018, everyone asked for another season.
After season 1, it was stated that there will be an upcoming movie, which was released on December 14, 2018, however, we never heard anything about the release of season 2.
In 2019, there was a rumor on the internet that Dragon Ball Super Season 2 will be released this year, however, it was a prank (I was shattered into pieces after learning that it was fake news).
Season 2 of Dragon Ball Super is planned to be released around the end of 2022 or in the middle of 2023. It’s not a piece of bad news because season 2 is just around the corner.
There is one more surprise for you. Towards the end of April 2022, a new Dragon Ball film will be released in Japan. I literally can’t wait for the new movie after knowing that it will mainly focus on Gohan (if you are thinking I am a Gohan fan then you are right).

WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THE DELAY OF DRAGON BALL SUPER SEASON 2?
It’s been over 4 years since the end of Dragon Ball Super Season 1, and fans are getting angry. They want season two of Dragon Ball Super right now. They are right, but they should understand why the season has been postponed.
As we all know, the Coronavirus was and continues to be lethal, and it is the only reason for the delay of Dragon Ball Super Season 2. I highly advise you to put on a mask, get vaccinated, and keep waiting for Season 2 of Dragon Ball Super, which is just around the corner.
PREDICTED CAST
Regarding the cast, we are guaranteed that the same Japanese cast will once again dub our favorite Dragon Ball characters.
As we all know, the cast plays a vital part in giving the voices of our favorite characters: let’s take a closer look at them.
Dragon Ball Super has a large cast, and the list goes on and on, so we’ll simply focus on just a few of the main characters.

Masako Nozawa is the main person in this anime because she has covered the voice of Goku, Gohan, and Goten and she has been a part of this show since the very beginning.
Masako is a wonderful voice actress and she has also worked in one piece as well as many other blockbuster anime.
We all know how important Goku is in this anime. He is also known as Kakarot, and he never ceases to astonish us with his new abilities and transformations (Super Saiyan is my favorite one).
Gohan and Goten are Goku and Chichi’s children. They are both Saiyans and incredibly powerful.
Toshio Furukawa (Piccolo)
Piccolo is one of the anime’s most important characters. He is from the planet Namek. He was introduced as Goku’s enemy and he always wanted to kill him, but they eventually became friends while battling Raditz.
Piccolo is an outstanding mentor for Gohan because, after Goku’s death, he took Gohan and groomed him to become an incredibly powerful warrior.

Ryo Horikawa (Vegeta)
Ryo Horikawa is a Japanese voice actor who gained millions of fans after dubbing Vegeta’s voice and if you ask me, this man was perfect for this role. He has also worked in Detective Conan and tons of other great anime.
As kids, we admired and appreciated Goku while ignoring Vegeta and his efforts, but as adults, we understand the pain he endured.
Vegeta is a Saiyan Prince who was introduced as an antagonist but later he became friends with Z-fighters while fighting Freeza on Planet Namek.
Mayumi Tanaka (Krillin)
Krillin is Goku’s best buddy, and they have known each other since they were children. Krillin appears to be a short, bald man. He has a wonderful and charming personality, and he has always believed in Goku.
He was one of the most skilled martial artists on the earth, but he stopped fighting after marrying Android 18.
However, he decided to stand up once again as a warrior in Dragon Ball Super season 1. Krillin is voiced by Mayumi Tanaka. Mayumi is an extremely talented and energetic voice actress.
She already has a large fan base due to her role as the voice of Monkey D. Luffy. I’m sure he doesn’t require an introduction. She has also covered the voices of Yajirobe and Uranai Baba. She is 67 years old, yet her voice has the energy of a teenager.
Masakazu Morita (Whis)
Whis is a new character who appears in Dragon Ball Super. He is Beerus’s teacher, and we can say he is far more powerful than Beerus. He possesses extraordinary talents, such as the ability to reverse time, and he is obsessed with Earth’s food.
He is also seen training Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball Super. Masakazu Morita is the man behind the voice of Beerus. Morita is a wonderful Japanese actor, singer, and voice actor. He is well-known for his outstanding performances.
He played Ichigo in Bleach: Sennen Kessen–hen and completely stunned everyone with his husky and electrifying voice. He is an energetic guy, and I’m looking forward to his new roles.
Kouichi Yamadera (Beerus)
Kouichi Yamadera is an absolute chad with an incredible voice. Fans of Cowboy Bebop may recognize him because he is the person who dubbed Spike. He has worked on a lot of anime and dubbed the voice of Beerus in Dragon Ball Super.
Beerus is a God of Destruction on the other side of the universe. Beerus awakens from his sleep due to a prophecy of a new challenger, a Super Saiyan God, and travels to King Kai’s place with Whis to meet Goku.
Kozo Shioya (Majin Buu)
Kozo Shioya voiced Majin Buu in both Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Z Kai. Majin Buu’s voice is a perfect match for Kozo, and he’s the perfect guy for it. People call him real-life Majin Buu and it is too hilarious.
Majin Buu was introduced to us as one of the most fearsome villains in Dragon Ball Z Kai. As far as appearances go, he is a pink and chubby guy who loves candy. Eventually, he became a great friend of Mr. Satan and they started living together.
Masashi Ebara (Mr. Satan)
Unshō Ishizuka was actually the voice actor behind Mr. Satan’s voice but he unfortunately died and Masahi Ebara got the role of Mr. Satan. Mabashi is the third guy to dub Mr. Satan as previous actors have passed away.
Ebara has dubbed the voice of Might Guy and lots of other great characters.
Mr. Satan is the world’s strongest man and the savior of the whole universe. He has defeated Cell single-handedly and can defeat anyone with his one hand. We’ll have to see if Mr. Satan can wake up from his dream in Dragon Ball Super season 2.
Takeshi Kusao (Trunks)
Takeshi Kusao is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer who works with Aoni Productions. He has dubbed Hanamichi from Slam Dunk and Trunks, Future Trunks, and Goten from Dragon Ball Z.
Trunks is Vegeta and Bulma’s troublesome son. He was the first person in Dragon Ball to perform and master fusion with Goten.
His attitude is similar to his father’s, whereas Future Trunks lives in an apocalyptic world and constantly tries to fix the timeline by appearing in the past and warning everyone about what’s going to happen next.
Ryusei Nakao (Frieza)
How can we forget this guy? Frieza is my favorite villain and thanks to him, our MC, Son Goku became so strong and became Super Saiyan.
Goku defeated Frieza, but he returned to take revenge on his father. Frieza and his father arrived on Earth just to be thrashed by the future Trunks.
Frieza is revived by the Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball Super and is also seen fighting alongside Goku. I love this man as he was the first badass villain of Dragon Ball Z. Ryusei Nakao, a Japanese singer, actor, and voice actor dubbed his voice.
Nakao has also worked on outstanding anime such as Bleach and Sword Art Online, and his magical voice has earned him countless fans.
Masaharu Satou (Muten Roushi)
Muten-Roushi, also known as Master Roushi, is the most famous and important character in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. He is the one who trained Goku, Yamcha, and Krillin. He owns Kame House, the major gathering place for everyone.
Master Roushi appears to be an elderly and frail man, yet he is actually quite powerful. Mashaharu Satou gave Master Roushi his voice and really nailed it. Satou not only covered Master Roushi’s voice but also King Vegeta’s (what a talented guy!).
Aya Hisakawa (Bulma)
Bulma is also one of the most important characters in the series. Although she is unable to fight, her mind is extremely sharp and she is fearless. We can see her slapping Beerus in the beginning of Dragon Ball Super, showing that she is fearless.
Bulma is Vegeta’s wife and the mother of Trunks and Bra. She runs a lab and has aided Goku and his crew on multiple occasions.
Hiromi Tsuru was the voice actor for Bulma, but since she passed away, Aya Hisakawa will dub Bulma in Dragon Ball Super Season 2. She is a Japanese voice actress and singer who has dubbed many amazing characters in a lot of anime including Sailor Moon and Bleach.
PREDICTED PLOT
Although we cannot predict the exact plot. However, rumors claim that Dragon Ball Season 2 will introduce us to a new enemy. Some fans want to see new enemies, while others want to see Vegeta and Goku back in action.
We will also see the whole story of Moro in Dragon Ball Super season 2. I want Goku and Vegeta to go toe-to-toe with this Moro man and kill him. Many fans are dissatisfied with Gohan and want to see him evolve as a character.
If you ask me, I am a huge Gohan fan who has adored him since the conclusion of Dragon Ball Z Kai, but he was stronger in the past. There is also a rumor going around the internet that we will witness Goku’s completely perfected Ultra Instinct as well as a new form.
