Most of the time, it’s really hard to judge an anime character. I might get kidnapped by otakus who’ll force me to add their favorite character on the list. However, I’m not going to decide this list by strength or power. This list will incorporate the 50 MOST popular anime characters of all time.
Where did I get this list? Well, the list is based on MyAnimeList’s most popular Anime & Manga characters. Therefore, it won’t be a ‘who’s more handsome?’ or ‘who is the most overpowered?’ This list is totally unbiased that is based on an official anime list voted by you guys.

The guy is too overpowered even for a demon. Having a contract with Ciel made him protect the master. And that’s how the story continued with a cutie x overpowered demon badass.
Naturally, when it comes to class, no one can beat Sebastian. The dude can straight up go for hours in battle, and would still look like nothing happened. On the surface, he looks so calm and composed. However, if you start a fight, be ready to get your butt kicked

Either way, Eikichi Onizuka claims that he can easily perform around 500 pushups, 2000 square, and 1000 pull ups. I want to know where the hell is physics. Even though a lot of stuff happened in the story, he decides to become a teacher. A lot of fans love the badass character who doesn’t know the definition of ‘giving up.’
For some reason, I got the tsundere vibes from him. Onizuka doesn’t really feel attached that quickly. However, deep down, he knows that what he’s doing is rather immature. But oh boy, just look at the image above, did you heart just race? I can feel it.

This cutie totally deserved a spot on this list. When it comes to the most popular anime characters of all time, a lot of people showed huge love for Holo from Ookami to Koushinryou. I’m not sure, man. A lot of people have a love and hate relationship with Asuna. She is the main female protagonist of the series. I’m surprised that Goku made it so low on the list. Looks like not a lot of people are aware of this badass nowadays. (Yes, I’m talking about Gen Z.) Goku was known to be the G.O.A.T in the past. Growing up watching Dragon Ball, I have some deep affection for the guy. He told me not to give up. He taught me how hard work can make things better for you. What more can you expect from a guy who has been suffering all his life?
Coming back to his character, he’s by far the purest anime character of all time. And now he’s on the most popular list? I’m not even surprised.
GOKU IS THE GOAT! This guy would sacrifice his own life for anyone in danger. No worries! He was revived over 9000 times.

If you’re into retro style, I’m sure Spike would be the specimen of your choice. The dude is way beyond crazy. Everything from his character to the vibe, I can’t! A 27-year-old guy who was born on Mars, and now he works as a bounty hunter. What can be cooler than that? Even though the anime is pretty old, Spike is still one of the most popular anime characters of all time.
And oh boy! Girls love his blue suit. Spike is an all-in-one crush for ladies. But being all that handsome, he has a sad side to him as well. Spike is just good at hiding but he’s always sad due to what happened in the past.

If you aren’t intimidated by Guts, you have no soul. Guts are probably my most favorite anime character of all time. Due to the fact that he had a rough life, but he didn’t lose hope. He went on doing what he had to. And I’m not talking about Naruto type of stuff here as Guts is very different. He’s a tall, muscular, and intimidating guy who’s just too epic to be on this list.
But I can’t complain, can I? The list was voted by anime fans themselves. On the other hand, Guts is hugely loved by the anime community.
If you’ve watched the anime, you must have an idea about why he’s on the list, and why is guts loved so much. The popularity rose more due to the manga than the anime version. His badassness was all over the place. You just can mess with Guts.

Truth be told, anyone can do anything if they put in enough effort irrespective of age and stuff. Hachiman is forced to join the service club due to all the corruption in which he grew up.

If we are talking about someone who’s funny and deadly serious at the same time, I present you with “Gintoki.” This guy is so funny, and yet every time danger comes in, he will deal with that in his same funny demeanor. But if you press his wrong nerve, the dude might not even let you live.
Moving back to the subject at hand, Gintama is one just one of the most epic Anime but also the most popular anime of all time too. Everything from the characters to the storyline is perfect. Why is that? Gintoki is the reason why everyone loves the series.
C’mon, ther’s much more to Gintoki. The guy is straight badass. We got to see each and every side of Gintoki and found out that he wasn’t so happy all along. He has a dark past, and dealing with that past was the most difficult part.
We love Gintoki due to his chill character and not panicking in whatever the case is.

Baki is a giant muscular guy who enjoys wrestling. He’s quite careless and reckless but these traits make him popular as an MC and charming as well. Baki is quite strong and can knock out anyone easily.

Yami Sukehiro from Black Clover is also considered one of the most popular anime characters now. He’s very reckless and doesn’t care about anything. His leadership skills are on point though. He just knows how to raise the morale of a person.

As she was a girl, a lot of boys in the series were envious of her genius self.
