Overlord is the story of “Ainz Ooal Gown” previously known as Momonga. He is determined to be a powerful overlord. Momonga was just another regular gamer in the game known as Yggdrasil. He tried to keep getting logged-in as the game was shutting down and while trying to do so, he got isekai-ed into the game as the mighty overlord.
The idea of the manga is very conceptual and it was uniquely plotted into a great story. The manga has advanced with an amazing fantasy world, very attractive characters, and a dark story. This combination won hearts not only in Japan, but on a global scale.

Bofuri is not fully similar to Overlord in terms of action. It lacks action on a great margin, but it still is an isekai story with an overpowered MC. If you’re looking for something cute, wholesome and relaxing with aesthetically pleasing arts to read, then you should give it a read.
The story starts with Kaede Honjou, who plays a VRMMO known as ‘New World Online‘. Kaede starts playing the game after Risa Shiramine invites her. After learning the basics, she maxes out her defense, just as the name of the manga. Kaede is known as Maple in the game.
This manga is overall an enjoyable and relaxing read. The game is buggy and glitchy, but that’s perfectly set for our protagonist to grow. In spite of growing, our protagonist stays the cute and silly character she was from the beginning.

This story follows Naofumi Iwatani who lived his pre-isekai life as a 20-year-old student. After finding a book, he got reincarnated in a fantasy world full of monsters and magic. The book was about four heroes and he became one of those fours. As the manga progresses, we get to see the bad luck of Iwatani and how he struggles in all the bad times.
Though both Overlord and The Rising of the Shield Hero are isekai manga, there are major differences. The protagonist in Overlord is overpowered in a positive manner. But in The Rising of the Shield Hero, the protagonist is negatively overpowered.

The story follows a Demon King called Anos Voldigoad. His life is full of war, massacre, and massive destruction. Aiming to leave such a life behind, he isekais into the far future. He was seen as an outcast in his Academy but he’ll show everyone why he was the Demon King.
Just like Ainz, Anos Voldigoad is thought to be useless. But later, they both reveal their god-like powers. Both of the manga are based on their godly main characters who usually get opposed by far inferior opponents.

The show follows Kanata Tomokui who used to be a strong human until he died. After death, he gets isekai-ed to another world with a new identity as a goblin called Rou. Rou possesses a special ability of extracting abilities of anything he eats.
The show offers decent plot and art. It lacks a bit in developing the characters. Although similarities with Overlord are present, the manga is a bit too bland. For example, the protagonist is a bit unbelievable. Though, the show is enjoyed by the fans all over.

This is one of the most underrated isekai manga. In this story we see Femrude, a baby getting taken care of by the Legendary Fenrir. Femrude is getting extra care like Japanese food from Fenrir and being loved by everyone around him. As the story proceeds, we find that he is a great Japanese cook. Fermude’s will is to bring human and beastmen together in one world.

Junpei Takeda is a student. He was always bullied by Kido Shouta. One day, they were summoned into another world as Heroes. But Junpei was tricked with a very low stat and he had to avenge this betrayal with the bad stats.
It’s similar to Overlord in a sense of reincarnation to a different world and the powers of characters are inversely proportional in the beginning. Later in the manga, he gets buffed to nearly an invincible character.

The story builds up on Izayoi Sakamaki, who is the strongest of the three children with unparalleled psychic powers. The three children with such gifts get into another world called Little Garden through a letter. The three children decide to bring up the fallen identity by using their gifts at the high-stake games.
The story is similar to Overlord’s because Izayoi has a unique gift called “Code Unknown”. This ability makes him disintegrate other gifts, which makes him the strongest esper by default. This indicates the power gap between the protagonist and others in this Little Garden.

The manga is full of comedy, drama, action and amazing character development. It resembles Overlord in many ways other than being an isekai manga. In fact, Saitama from One Punch Man became a symbolic character for strength and power comparison.

Seiya overpowers everyone in the world with just one flaw. And the flaw is as the name suggests. He is ludicrously cautious about anything. He only goes to places after training to a level where he feels comfortable.
The manga offers characters who are hysterically flawed at a level of humorous comedy, well developed characters by the end of the show, and good quality art. The story could be a bit stronger at times but overall, an enjoyable read.

The manga revolves around a character who used to be a regular Japanese salaryman and was reborn in a world of magic as a 9-year-old girl named Tanya Degurechaff. She would probably lose track of what just happened to her by trying. She could also become that world’s best magical soldier.
Our protagonist chose the latter for obvious reasons. When Tanya used to be a salaryman, he was cruel to his underlings. Thus, out of grudge, one of his underlings murdered him. Tanya believes she was reborn here by “Being X”, as she is an atheist.
The plot armor of Saga of Tanya The Evil and Overlord are similar but not the same. In some aspects, Saga of Tanya The Evil is in a winning position. That is definitely the progression of the character development. Tanya worked for her high ranks in the military whereas Ainz Ooal Gown was born with brilliant power. Tanya is also more intelligent than Ainz Ooal Gown. Thus, we wanted to showcase this manga on our top-list.
