The story revolves around a Japanese salaryman who gets reincarnated as a little girl in an alternate reality of World War 1. The world building and the overall setting look very world warlike but with some changes, Magic being the biggest.

Imagine the soldiers in World War 1 had magic alongside their weapons. It would’ve been awesome!

Tanya uses her knowledge of her past life to rise up the ranks and become a higher-ranking military officer at the age of 9. Sounds badass, right?!

Now, we follow Chise and Elias on a romantic adventure filled with magic, fairies, dragons and other fantasy creatures. The plot may start off slow at first, but I can say the development is outstanding!

Mx0 is unlike any other magical school story. It’s a wonderful blend of Shonen, Supernatural, Action, Romance, and Comedy in one package. One of the most amusing manga series I’ve ever read.

Unfortunately, due to its low audience, it was cancelled after the 99th chapter. As a result, the ending may appear rushed. Which, to be honest, is annoying. But still, it wasn’t the mangaka’s fault.

The plot revolves around Taiga Kuzumi, our not-so-typical delinquent who accidentally enrols at a magic school and then has to fend for himself in the said magic school without having any magic. (However, everyone else believes he’s a gold magic-user). This causes a series of events and trials for our MC to face.

This is a work of art that should be added to your to-read list. Don’t miss out on Mxo; you won’t regret it.

She summons Hanako-kun to help fix her problem and what happens afterwards is a rollercoaster ride.

Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun is just one-of-a-kind with lovable characters, beautiful art, and an intriguing story that triggers a lot of emotions; the story goes from light-hearted to dark pretty quickly, so be prepared.

I was confused when I came across this manga title. Like, who gives a title like this?! Lol

Well, the title really speaks for itself in the story. We follow our protagonist, Kumoko, a shy high schooler that’s constantly bullied. She was caught in an explosion alongside her classmates and was reincarnated as a spider in another world.

A spider is even weaker than a slime, but Kumiko never gives up. Hence where “So what?” comes from in the title.

In Case you’re wondering what the xxx means in the title, we’ve got you covered.

Xxx is the Japanese word for blank/dash. So, the title is similar to ‘___holic’. Put another way, you can fill in the blank with an addiction. So, instead of ALCOholic or WORKAholic, we have a slew of other “holic’s” to choose from. Now you get the reason for the xxx.

The story follows Kimihiro Watanuki, a bewildered youngster who could see spirits and other supernatural beings, which he despises. In the end, he encounters Yuuko, a witch who promises to cure him of his ability to see and attract otherworldly creatures.

But for a price – She asks him to work in her witchy store, and thus Watanuki’s strange and beautiful adventures begin. This Manga is creepy, dark at the same time, funny, intriguing and brilliant. You just need to check it out!

So, Isekai, Demon Hunters, Magic and Mechas/Robots, combining all of these parts together, you get Knights and Magic.

Knights and Magic focuses a lot on mecha; designing, building, upgrading, and then, of course, battling them.

Our protagonist, Ernesti, was a programmer/ Mecha otaku in his world. He dies in a car accident and is reincarnated in a fantasy world where Mechs are run by Magic.

This world is no different from programming, and with his prior knowledge of robots and models, he quickly rises through the ranks to become the kingdom’s lead Mecha designer.

The Rising of the Shield Hero tells a story about betrayal, revenge and redemption. We follow Naofumi Iwatani, a twenty-year-old otaku who was mysteriously transported to another world.

There, he is dubbed the “Shield hero”, the weakest of the four cardinal heroes due to his lack of attacking prowess. As a result, no one was willing to work with him. And to make matters worse, he was betrayed and framed by those who were meant to be his allies and those who brought him in in the first place.

The formerly cheerful and compassionate otaku is now a mistrusting anti-hero hellbent on retribution. As time passes, he meets people who genuinely believe in him and regard him as a hero. However, as a result of his betrayal, it will take a long time for him to warm up to anyone.

The fact that the anime debuted first doesn’t give the Manga the credit it deserves.

There are a few minor scenes in the Manga that are excluded in the anime; this makes me wish everyone would take the time to read it, even if they’ve previously seen the anime. The final chapter, for example, is just magnificent; it picks up where the anime left off and brilliantly ties up all the loose ends.

This isn’t your typical magical girl story. It starts out very light-hearted, but as the reader progresses through the pages, the plot becomes gradually dark.

Also, as a side note, not all adorable looking bunnies are harmless. You’ll see what I mean when you read the Manga.

We have Mob Pyscho, from the creator of One Punch Man. Both are known for their ridiculously overpowered funny looking MC.

Shigeo Kageyama or “Mob”, is an eighth-grader blessed with extraordinary psychic powers. His abilities are based on a meter that measures his emotions and is set at 100. Hence the title Mob Psycho 100.

Despite his soft demeanour and deadpan look, you don’t want to see Mob get maxed out 100 percent! He goes from an introspective eight-grader to a total badass.

To help keep his psychic powers under control, he works under Arataka Reigen, a self-proclaimed esper looking to make use of Mob’s skills.

While the art may not immediately pique your attention, it plays an essential role in the tale. And, given enough time, it will grow on you.

This manga reminds me of the movie “free-guy” where NPCs actually come to life and have their free will.

Imagine NPCs with their own free will; the gaming experience would be entirely different.

Overlord tells the story of Momonga, a top MMO gamer who was unexpectedly transported into a new game realm filled with living NPCs. Now, he must figure out this new world. But what if he’s the villain of his own story?

Despite having an absurdly overpowered main character, the series succeeds since it is a typical “dominate the world as the evil character” story with the main protagonist as the “eviloverlord. Did I mention that our protagonist is also a Lich?

I’ve always been a sucker for exorcism, witches, and demons and was glad when I first saw this Manga.

The story begins off very much a cliché. Parent figure dies, MC vows to grow stronger and avenge his parent figure, MC goes to a magical school to become stronger! While this seems like the typical Shonen, the plot progressively thickens.

Blue exorcist is a demon/exorcist story. Except, in this setting, the protagonist, Rin, is both an exorcist and a demon. Not just any demon, but the son of Satan! Like, how crazy is that?!

With his new objective, Rin vows to get stronger, defeat his father and save humanity from its demonic crisis while keeping his demonic prowess hidden from other exorcists. This won’t be easy since drawing his sword awakens the devil powers within him! Follow Rin on his quest to defeat Satan.

Upon seeing this title, what came to mind was a demonic overlord trapped in human form, working in McDonald’s, lol. And I was fairly right.

The story revolves around Sadou, a Devil King who is trying to take over the world but gets defeated by the Hero, Emilia. Sadou and his army, on the run to temporarily retreat to an alternate world, find themselves trapped in modern-day Japan, with no powers and unable to return.

Trapped in Japan, the almighty devil king must work menial jobs to survive while attempting to find a way back to their world. To make things interesting, Emilia also followed them to japan. How do things go for the demon king? Was he able to return? Did he love life in japan? Find out for yourself!

Black Butler is an odd mix of gothic fantasy, dark comedy, and a murder mystery. You don’t wanna miss out on it!

This Manga’s character development is fascinating! The art? I can’t say that it is the greatest I’ve ever seen, but it has its moments.

Another premise of Magic and science, but the way it is depicted here is outstanding!

You might assume the MC to be a great wizard in order for him to be OP, but that isn’t the case here. Tatsuya possesses little to no magical ability, but his outstanding technical knowledge, fighting skills, and silver horn gun earned him respect. He has the ability to counter magic in a similar way to Asta from Black Clover.

This story is set in a mystical world where magic is everything. However, despite its many benefits, Magic may also be used for tremendous evil; as a result, the Kingdom of Fiore has a system of magical guilds in place to prevent dark forces from disturbing the natural order of things.

For money and fame, these guilds employ a variety of witches and wizards who take on different work assignments under the command of their respective guild masters. However, when it comes to strength and spirit, there’s only one guild that stands out above the rest, and it’s called Fairy Tail. Now, we follow this guild on various adventurous quests.

Fairy Tail’s epic fights, great Magic and spells, which Natsu and his companions utilize to conquer obstacles in their path, are what make it truly remarkable. Every battle is fresh and thrilling as this guild must rely on teamwork and strategy to defeat their adversary. Fairy Tail lives up to its name and is a must-read for any enthusiast of Magic.

In a world where cursed spirits are created from human’s negative emotions – hatred, regret, fear, you name it. We have our sorcerers from Jujutsu high to exterminate them and save the day.

We follow Yuuji Itadori, a regular human, as he goes about his everyday life. But all changes when he swallows the legendary Curse, Sukuna Ryoumen’s finger and becomes its host.

For some reason, he could control Sukuna from going berserk. Now, he joins the Tokyo Jujustu High to learn the art of Jujutsu and eventually consume all of Sukuna’s fingers.

This Manga, in my opinion, shares a lot of similarities with Naruto. To mention a few, the MCs both have a demon inside of them. Their sensei, Gojo/Kakashi, are enigmatic characters with white hair and both cover their eyes. I don’t believe this is a coincidence, but I wouldn’t say it’s a copy.

One thing that makes the Manga unique is how it manages to be both dark and light-hearted at the same time.

We’ve seen a lot of isekai with one or two characters transported to another realm, but this isn’t the case here.

In Assassins Status, an entire high school class was transported to another realm and granted extraordinary powers in order to defeat the Demon King.

While one of them is fortunate enough to become a true Hero, Akira, the protagonist, is relegated to the role of Assassin. Against all odds, the Assassin might just be the most powerful role of all!

Magic and Science? Because why not!

In this Manga, Magic is known as alchemy, with one essential fundamental “Equivalent Exchange” – To obtain anything, something else of equal value must be lost.

Alchemy is the scientific art of manipulating and altering matter using natural energy. Despite its vast potential, alchemy is not as powerful as most people imagine. Human transmutation is strictly prohibited, and anyone who attempts it faces serious consequences.

Despite this, Edward and Alphonse Elric decide to break the ancient taboo and revive their mother. As a result of their arrogance, things went awfully wrong, and they both paid the price with their body; Edward loses his left leg and his right arm while Alphonse loses his entire body. Now we follow the Elric brothers on a quest to restore their body parts. How? That is for you to find out.

Now, this is a premise similar to the Disney Aladdin, but different. Here our protagonist is also named Aladdin and has a Djinn companion (genie) named Ugo. Magi takes place in a unique Arabian setting with tie-ins from 1001 Arabian night.

Aladdin is a young boy who some refer to as a Magi, and the story follows him on his quest for self-discovery with his pals, Alibaba Saluja and Morgiana of the Fanalis. On their way, they faced a lot of challenges and also made some allies and friends.

The concept of Magic (magoi) is quite relatable. It comes from natural nature and returns upon death. The dungeon and Djinn are well-thought-out and have never been mentioned in other anime, which I believe distinguishes this one.
