23. Fruits Basket
A tragedy fell upon young Tohru Honda’s life, forcing her to live on her own. As she tries to survive she suddenly encounters The Souma family consisting of three cousins: Shigure (The oldest), Yuki (the prince), and Kyo (The hot-headed). As the family discovers Tohru’s situation, they gladly take her in.
Later on, as she tries to stop a dispute between the two cousins (Yuki and Kyo) she accidentally discovers a family secret: Whenever they are hugged or touched by the opposite gender they will turn into an animal based on a Chinese zodiac.
Therefore after this revelation, she promised that she will keep the family’s secret. The story is filled with comedy, adventure, and romance of course! 22. High School DxD Hero
Kuoh Academy is a school built within a foundation of secrecy: Unknown to mortals, the school’s population is composed of angels, fallen angels, and devils. A second-year human student: Issei Hyodo was killed on his first date HOW CRUEL IS THAT! Oops! Sorry guys I cannot hold myself! But anyway! Where were we? Oh yeah! So after he died on his first date he was revived by a third-year student: Rias Gremory… and as soon as he woke up he thought that everything was just a dream. Until he was attacked by another fallen angel and woke up again, and as the poor lad encountered Rias, she revealed her true identity: a devil, and explained that Issei was reincarnated as a devil and also her slave (Well, ain’t a bad deal isn’t it?)

Once loved and worshipped by the people of Pasloe, but as time changes and technology arises, The powerful wolf-deity turns into a mere folktale. Holo as she feels that she is no longer needed, she decides to return to her hometown: Yoitsu. She joins the wandering merchant named Kraft Lawrence. As the two companions journey through different parts of the world… seeing wonders and gaining wisdom together, Holo began to draw unwanted attention.

Hey! Just curious! What type of weather soothes you? A gloomy but cozy rainy day or a bright and warm sunny day? Really? Good to hear! Welp in my case, that depends! So, if you’re looking for a movie that is about the weather then let me share my umbrella with you because the weather of the place that we’ll visit is quite unpredictable.
The story starts with a high school student Hodaka Morishima and like any other high school student- he has problems: financially. He ended up finding a job as a small-time publisher that investigates urban legends related to the unusually rainy weather in Tokyo. As fate played its part he encountered Hina, an orphan who’s being forced to work at a club, but Hodaka rescued her and both of them hid in an abandoned building known as Yoyogi Kaikan. The building has a shrine above its roof, where Hodaka witnessed Hina’s power, shifting the weather: by clearing the sky.
Then Hodaka has an idea to use her power to solve both of their financial problems. Yet as they further used Hina’s gift, consequences arose.
19. Romeo x Juliet
Now let me put down the umbrella cuz things will be quite different. Big fan of Shakespeare and anime? Then why don’t we put on some armor and stuff and try to peek at the castle?
Surprise! Ain’t any typical kingdom huh? Yup! Cuz we’re in a floating continent of Neo Verona! What? What do you mean I’m whispering? Come here you silly! So, all ears on me ok? The history here is kinda scary, it involves political stuff. Let’s say the Capulets were the former rulers of the kingdom, then Montague usurped the throne! Luckily someone escaped the slaughter, the poor gal and the rightful heir is none other than Juliet. She was saved by loyalists and after many years she sought revenge and plans to overthrow the current regime.
Everything is dark and spicy, right? So, she became a vigilante with a badass nickname: The Red Whirlwind (now that gives me some goosebumps!) During her awesome feats, she meets Romeo, and both of them fall in love at first sight (Wild Otaku noises).
But what of their family’s history? The awful crime that Montague committed? Does love find its way to escape such cruel a fate? What do you mean I’m crying? No, you’re crying! Fine! But you better watch it!
18. Maoyuu Maou Yuusha (Maoyu ~ Archenemy & Hero)
Now, why don’t we took-off and find ourselves in another realm? We’ll be heading into a story about a war between demons and humans. Let me introduce you to the Hero of the– wait? Where is he going? Oh my! He’s rushing towards the Demon Queen’s castle! Hop on bud!
Now that is pretty exhausting, isn’t it? Look! Does it seem that the Hero and Demon Queen are talking about something? I see, so the Demon Queen also sought the Hero’s help but the lad is confused, so he denies her request! It seems that the Queen is further explaining herself. It seems that she offers a solution to end the war! Hmm, I see now that is the reason why she needs the aid of the Hero… Oh, what? You ain’t seeing anything? Sorry about that! Seems that I’ve blocked the view hehe. But of course, if you want more you can see it for yourself!
17. The Rising of the Shield Hero
Seems that we ain’t done with chaos yet! For right now we’re in the country known as Melromarc. Which is plagued by endless waves of catastrophe! Seems that these folks need backup! What do you mean that I’ll handle it? Of course not! Come and let us witness the summoning of the four cardinal heroes: the sword, spear, bow, and shield hero.
The Shield Hero Naofumi Iwatani was belittled by everybody, and what gets worse is that he was betrayed by the only person he thought would help him. In the end, he was accused of a crime that he never committed. Overfilled with hate and mistrust, he set on a journey to gaining strength, reputation, and beloved companions. Together with his friends: Raphtalia a demi-human slave and… nope I think that is all the information that you’ll need! But the Rising of the Shield Hero is a must-watch masterpiece about friendship, love, and adventure!
16. Kamisama Kiss
Now let us go back a little bit about school and stuff: Here is Nanami Momozono, a high school student struggling with academic problems and household issues. Her father is a gambler with a huge debt. Soon she was kicked out of her apartment due to her father. Aside from experiencing multiple crises, she did not blame her misfortune. Until she met Mikage, a man that clings himself to a tree because he’s being chased by a dog. Nanami saved him and they talked… Nanami tells her story, and after Mikage hears it, he quickly offers his home.
Eventually, the promised household shocked her, it is no house but a shrine. Then the girl met three spirits (yokai), Tomoe, Onikirim, and Kotetsu. Her life is no longer unfortunate for she was bestowed a mark as the new Land God of the shrine. The story further evolves and tackles more about love and friendship. We also have the series’ filler list, so this might come in handy, just in case!
15. Trinity Seven
Arata Kasuga lives peacefully in a small town with his cousin Hijiri Kasuga. Until the red sun stopped shining known as the Breakdown Phenomenon destroying his hometown.
Arata wants to live as they used to, he wishes to be happy again, so the grimoire activates (given by his cousin) reconstructing an artificial world for him.
Then Lilith Asami, a mage, was sent to uncover the anomaly. She discovered Arata under a powerful spell. She saves him and invites him to a top-secret school known as Hogwarts! Just kidding! It was the Royal Biblia Academy! In the academy, he met six powerful mages such as Lilith, known as the Trinity Seven.
The seven aid him in being a powerful magician to find his missing cousin.
14. A Lull in the Sea
A long long time ago… humans lived underneath the sea. Their kingdom was known as Atlantis! Oh! Sorry, That’s a different thing… but it is true that in this story, it was known that people lived underneath the sea. Yet some people choose the surface and they’ve abandoned the world below.
Still, in the modern-day… two worlds coexist. As the school under the sea closed itself, Hikari Sakishima, Manaka Mukaido, Chisaki Hiradaira, and Kaname Isaki were forced to attend a school on the surface and from there everything changed.
13. Twin Star Exorcists
Upon diving ourselves into a world of water earlier, now we shall embark on a place known as Magano, a realm with monsters known as Kegare. To eliminate these creatures comes the known exorcists. A powerful exorcist Rokuro Enmado and after losing his friends he decides to abandon his duty. Until he met another known exorcist Benio Adashino. A prophecy has been foretold that these two exorcists aka Twin Star Exorcists are destined to marry and have a child. A child whose fate is to cleanse the creatures: Kegare.
12. Sword Art Online- Movie- Ordinal Scale
In the year 2026, aside from the Nerve-gear and Amusphere, a new technology kicks in! Known as the Augma, which allows players to use it while fully conscious!
The most famous application of the system is the game known as Ordinal Scale, such as the infamous Sword Art Online, it is also a fantasy role-playing game. Kirito and the gang tried it! Just like the usual SAO thing, at first everything is about fun! Yet, of course in its system… a dark scheme is always hidden.

11. Lady Jewelpet
Momona is a junior high school student from Jewel Land. Spending her normal life with her family. During her cousin’s wedding, she envies the bride, Lady Diana. Momona has feelings for his cousin, but as soon as she sees The lady and her cousin, she accepts it and starts to like Diana. Until Momona suddenly was transported into a cold, snowy place of Jewel land. She and other candidates were chosen by the ruler: Lady Jewel to become the next Lady Jewel!
10. Spirit Chronicles
Amakawa Haruto, a college student accidentally dies in a traffic accident, meanwhile, in a different world Rio, a boy who sought revenge for his mother’s death, the two worlds, two different people, and yet fate merges them. Setting aside the confusion, Rio decides to live in the new world. With Haruto’s memory, Rio awakens a “special power.” Then, he encounters a princess that’s being kidnapped! He rescued the fair maiden and as a reward, he was given a scholarship at the Royal Academy. Now a mere poor orphan living among the rich and powerful is quite interesting isn’t it?

Yona, the beautiful red-haired princess of the Kouka Kingdom was threatened by treason. Everything that she holds dear was taken from her. She was left by his bodyguard and friend Son Hak and together were forced to escape the palace.
Yona vows to gain strength to reclaim her birthright! There with Hak, she must put together a legend that might be the way to save her kingdom.
8. No Game No Life: Zero
Mankind was known to be lesser beings (due to their lack of magic) and was targeted by other Exceed, allowing them to face extinction. Hope is restored when a young warrior Riku finds an Ex-Machina whom he named Schwi. Together, they strive to prevent mankind from extinction and seek peace in the ancient world of Disboard!
7. Cardcaptor Sakura
Cardcaptor Sakura is a classic anime series. The story begins with a ten-year-old fourth-grade student, Sakura Kinomoto, who lives an ordinary life in Tomoeda. Until she found a mysterious book of cards known as The Clow. She accidentally releases a set of magical cards scattered all over the town.
Her unintentional actions awaken a beast– Keroberos aka Kero. the magical beast further explained what power she unleashed! With Kero’s guidance and to amend her mistake she was granted the power to stop the danger that now threatens the world.
6. Snow White with the Red Hair
Her skin is as white as snow, and her hair is as dark as… wait sorry about that! Let me rephrase that, her hair is as red as… hmm can’t think of anything more poetic! Anyways! Shirayuki aka “snow white” is a red-haired lass living in the country of Tanbarun. She works as an apothecary in a herbal shop, you heard that right! Apothecary! What is that? That is an old term for pharmacists! Just when a prince wanted her to become his concubine! (Oh lemme at him!) Due to such an offer, she cuts off her hair and escapes into the forest! Thankfully she was rescued by Zen Wistalia, a prince from another country.
She pursued to become a court herbalist in the kingdom of Clarine– Prince Zen’s country. And as their friendship bonds stronger, enemies also formed within their midst.
5. The Ancient Magus’ Bride
She Doesn’t care whatever happens to her, it doesn’t matter if they bought her for five million pounds, Chise Hatori, was sold for a tall masked man clad in a dark cloak. Then A whisper and murmuring filled the auction “Sleigh Beggy” they said. What does it mean? It didn’t matter to her.
The man led her into a study and introduced himself as Elias Ainsworth, a magus. This is the beginning of her new life filled with creatures, fairies… and in short magic! A story of an apprentice and the wife of an ancient magus!
4. Howl’s Moving Castle
Studio Ghibli never stops entertaining its audiences. The castle is not any typical castle, it is a jumbled piece of walking masterpiece I say! But for those folks who seem to be unfamiliar with it, yep that’s the moving castle folks! That walking architecture belongs to a wizard, but not just any ordinary wizard! And he is known as Howl!
Here comes our antagonist! Sophie is a girl who works hard as a hatter. She was rescued by Howl when she was in the midst of… wait I won’t basically tell all of the information! But the slight encounter causes the Witch of the waste to be jealous of Sophie! The young maiden turns into an old woman.
So that she may turn normal, Sophie accompanies the great wizard, with his magical companion- a talking fire demon, and a hopping scarecrow.
3. Record of Grancrest War
To control and wield magic one must uphold a crest. The story follows a young mage Siluca Meletes, and a young knight, Theo Corvinus. The two warriors team up to bring peace to warring territories. In their quest, they’ve encountered challenges, including the powerful Villar Constance who is known as the “Lord of Chaos.” The series emphasizes power, politics, and especially unity.
2. A Whisker Away
Living in a broken family, Miyo Sasaki, a high school girl, tends to escape her problem by just seeing her crush: Kento Hinode. The young girl could not catch the attention of the young lad so she tried to demonstrate her love by transforming herself into a cat (Tarou). Then she realized that she also wanted to help Kento, but some of the time she cannot, especially in her cat form. Then she was stuck with two choices, should she maintain her other form? Or take the risk of revealing her identity?

Mitsuha Miyamizu is a high school girl living in the countryside that dreams to live in the city of Tokyo. Meanwhile, living in the city, Taki Tachibana is also a high school student that dreams to be an architect.
One day, when Mitsuha wakes up… she finds things different, she finds herself in a different room, and in a different life! She found herself in a boy’s body (Taki’s body!). Elsewhere in the countryside, Taki found himself in the same situation, he was in Mitsuha’s body! To find an answer to this strange phenomenon, and to know more, the two try to search for each other.
