The Rising of the Shield Hero series was quite the let down for others. Tons of fans expected so much better from the usual plot and instead most of the fandom says we only got our usual isekai with lower quality graphics.
The series finally started to show some hope of improvement after the fight the MC led against the Spirit Tortoise.
Inspiring and super emotional, the shield hero did not only affirm his strength, he also demonstrated amazing strategic ability and intelligence.

Trust me, even I can’t believe I’m putting a Netflix original series on this list but this fight really deserves its place.
After the death of Rebecca, our MC completely lost it. Overwhelmed by grief, sadness and guilt, he turned the losing battle to his advantage.
If only he had his amazing awakening before he got his friend killed.

We would have never have imagined that Reg was one day be forced to fight against Faputa. Let’s just say that their relationship got a bit of a fall down.
Undeniably stronger, Faputa should be able to stand a chance against Reg. However, she had the advantage since he was unconsciously holding back since he didn’t want to hurt her.
Unexpected is the perfect word to describe that amazing fight.

Princess Connect was never this super cool anime but we have to admit it has been stepping up its game lately.
The last season was a roller coaster of intense emotions. Our MC, determined to regain her title of being a princess, is fighting all out for her rights.
The series offered us out of the most satisfying knock downs of all times when Kaisen was utterly destroyed by Pecorine.

World Trigger became quite the underrated anime over the years and I have to say that it breaks my heart.
It’s a series all about strategy and how to outsmart your enemy which makes it super exciting and super interesting.
The Ranks Wars was a perfect demonstration of all the awesomeness the series had to give. In an exhilarating battle royal, all the characters had the opportunity to show off their intelligence and abilities.
Yuba and Anomiya however, stood out more than all the other combatants. Each of them are terrifying fighters. Using all their knowledge and experience they fought against each other.
While the fight only lasted for like a minute we had to say that it was overly impressive.
11. Loid Versus Yor

Spy x Family is breaking the barriers of the conventional one after another. While you will only find nerve wrecking fights who are going to determine the fate of the series on the list, this is the only battle that wasn’t going to have any kind of impact on the story and yet it was just amazing.
Hilarious on another level, Yor got drunk and started attacking Loid while they were playing a spying game to celebrate Anya’s good work.
The professional spy who didn’t know who he was really up against (a professional assassin), almost got his butt kicked by the OP drunk spy who wasn’t in the right mind to try and hold back.
His life was actually on the line and he didn’t know it. It would’ve been the funniest death in the anime universe.
10. Yamato Versus Ace

Ace made it all the way to Onigashima to have a go against Kaido. However, instead of getting to but heads with the father, he got the son, who is actually a girl who believes she is Oden. A bit crazy but powerful.
Their battle wasn’t a fight to the death, no malice, no hate, no anger could be felt. It was like a dance, a conversation and the blows they were exchanging were the words.
At the end of the battle, no one died, no one lost either and friendship bloomed. Like Ace marked Yamato’s life, Yamato left an imprint on the Pirate as well.

Chainsaw Man blew all of our minds. The graphics, the animation, the voice over, every single element of the series hit beyond our expectations.
You can imagine that after all the effort and dedication put into the anime adaptation of the manga something extraordinary was going to come out of it.
To be honest every single fight in Chainsaw Man could’ve been chosen to be on this list. However, I picked this one because no matter how you look at it, it just packed more of a punch than all the others.
I mean if Denji didn’t have such cheat-like healing abilities, he would’ve been killed by the devil ten times over during their battle.

Mob Psycho 100 is a peculiar series to say the least. However, peculiar or not it had its foundations. But then, this fight completely ripped them apart and rebuilt them anew.
Mob was getting a little cocky since we were starting to become kind of popular. His all-mighty attitude offended Dimple, I mean really offended him.
Wanting to get back at him, he started making fun of Mob’s shirt which flipped his switch and ignited a battle of gods.
Both of them transformed into muscular monsters and drove each other to their limits thus offering us the most foolish yet magnificent fight of 2022.
7. Bojji Versus King Bosse

Ranking of Kings is a heart warming emotional series that you can’t help but get attached to thanks to its uniqueness and adorable MC.
The series really took us by surprise when Prince Bojji was forced to fight King Bosse who is also his father. As reluctant as he was, he manned up and fought him like a beast.
He turned out victorious and thus his father handed the crown, the throne to him, proudly. This moment marked history as Bojji defeated the man who was believed to be the strongest in the world.
6. Luffy Versus Kaido

Luffy Vs Kaido was also one of the most insane fights of 2022. But the best is yet to come. As crazy as their encounter was, Oda still has something even better planned for us.
During that specific battle, Luffy did not awaken. He didn’t manage to break his limits and ultimately lost the fight and was thrown into the ocean to die. But, rest assured, this is not the end for the stubborn pirate.
And let me tell you, if you think that that was the most amazing fight you saw in One Piece, I guarantee you that you won’t even be able to compare Luffy’s comeback to that punny battle.
Well, now you have something to look forward to in 2023.

Shigaraki’s awakening was the greatest catastrophe the heroes of My Hero Academia had to face. The villain became a threat that had to be eliminated.
Now that he had obtained the All for One, he set his eyes on Deku’s One for All. he was relentlessly going after him and on the way he had the bad idea of attacking Eraser Head and impaling Deku’s childhood friend, Bakugo.
Rage like he never felt before starting overtaking the one quirkless hero. It was time to stop running, Shigaraki was going to dearly pay for his sins.

Eren had abandoned Paradis Island and sided with his half-brother or so we thought. Manipulating everyone to get the power of the Founding Titan, it was only after he got what he wanted that he revealed his real intentions.
If the world wasn’t going to let his home, his friends, live in peace then the world would need to go. GENOCIDE, he was planning a worldwide scale genocide.
Even if it was all for them, Mikasa, Armin, Levi and Hange just couldn’t let him go through that insanity.
They allied with the enemy since they now had a common goal and had to fight their way through Eren’s followers, the Jaegerists, who had taken control of the Island to get to him.

We had never seen the Captain of the Gotei 13 in action. We knew he was strong, overpowered even but the full extent of his strength, his Zanpakuto, his Bankai we knew nothing about it.
It was only when the biggest threat for the Shinigamis came back for retaliation that he finally did us the honor of going on a rampage. And let me tell you, the Jiji did not disappoint.
He possesses the most extraordinary Bankai I had ever seen, his power is something that is out of this world. No wonder Aizen and Yhwach were terrified to go up against him.
However, the King of the Quincies got him real good when it turned out that he was fighting against a clone. Totally depleted of energy, the man who we never imagined would ever lose perished at the hands of the man he failed to end a long, long time ago.
2. Jolyne Versus Enrico Pucci

Pucci’s Stand got a really nice upgrade, now it was almost fully evolved. Even after that nice powerup Jolyne wasn’t showing any sight of wanting to back down from their battle.
Both fighters had so much on the line, so much to lose, that their battle kept us in nerve wrecking mode the entire time.
Now desperate to end the fight Pucci engaged with his final attack. He wanted to use his Stand and turn his enemy’s heart inside out.
However, Jolyne outsmarted him and before he could do so used her own ability, Stone Free, to turn her chest into a Mobius Strip.

Nezuko, who was literally destroying Daki, lost control of herself. Forced to put her back to sleep, a critically injured Tanjiro and a poisoned Tengen had to work hand in hand with Zenitsu and Inosuke to simultaneously decapitate the two upper six demons.
What should’ve been an impossible feat was miraculously and magnificently executed by the Demon Slayers who utilized their abilities beyond their limits.
This fight was the most intense battle of 2022! Who was gonna die? Who was gonna win? Those questions left us hanging to the edge of our seats for three straight mind blowing episodes.
Conclusion
Now don’t get mad if the fight you wanted didn’t show up on the list. As sad as it is, I was forced to let go of some of the options.
