24/40

Genre: Mecha, School
Episodes: 22

Anime Storyline:

The first (or should I say the last) anime on our list is Robotics; Notes. This anime is not as extraordinary as others from Wit Studio, but it is still one of the best due to its unique plot. There have been quite a few giant mecha anime to date, but this one has a story that is a slight bit different.

Instead of a world filled with mechas, this anime talks about a Robotics club that just wants to complete its long-term project, GunPro1. This giant robot is the passion child of all the club members, except Kaito Yashio, that is. He would instead focus on his mecha game on his PokeCom than on the real-life robot in front of him. WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS GUY? Well, anyway, one thing leads to another, and things start getting pretty interesting. The future is at risk type-of-interesting.

Ever wondered if running Hell is a chore or not? To answer that question, take a look at Hozuki, the chief deputy to the King of Tartarus. He hates his job due to the tedious functionality. Still, He takes on different tasks from various people of different religions.

This plot might make you think that he is the Gintama of Hell, and to that, I say you are absolutely correct. But the plot is original as it is not a parody of other supernatural animes. In fact, unlike Gintama, this one doesn’t stray from its main focus but still fulfills the comedic requirements. It is possible due to the whimsical characters and environment.

26/40

Genre: Action, Adventure, Slice of Life
Episodes: 12

Anime Storyline:

Cute 2D girls doing cute things, there is no way this formula could go wrong. Imagine that in a slice-of-life setting, these cute little girls are riding around on their bikes with Japanese punk rock playing in the background. That is the entire premise of this show, and that is enough to hook on the weebs.

The fluffy colorful setting and light-hearted storytelling only lack a solid narrative. Other than that, it is filled with all the elements that make an anime worth the watch. The audio and ambients help uplift the environment. But don’t worry, it is not only a show filled with cute girls, but it also has the Wit Studio touch to it.

Zombie-like monsters, Kabane, have a metal core and can only be defeated by destroying the cores – this seems like a generic anime plot. But Wit Studio added its own twist to it and made it a thousand times better. And the twist is the “Eren” effect.

Now, if you don’t know what I mean, then lemme explain. The MC, Ikoma, was able to develop a weapon that could trounce the zombies, and it was by becoming a half-Kabane himself. Sound familiar?

For a track runner, an accident that causes harm to their legs is the most traumatizing event. Akira Tachibana had to face such a tragedy, but she did gain something from it.

The thing she gained was a crush on her 45-year-old boss in her new workplace. But the anime doesn’t focus on this controversial love but the ability to discover one’s own self. Such a storyline paired with Wit’s animation is sure to hit the soft spot.

Time Travel, Androids, and emotional anime music – this show has it all. This might be a recent 2021 anime, but it has taken the community by the tone (get it!! Okay, I’ll stop). But honestly, this show has a terrific art style and vibrant colors along with music scores to touch the soul.

The show follows Vivy, a humanoid android who was designed for singing in an amusement park. She might have been created for entertainment, but her purpose changes as soon as a time-traveling teddy bear visits her.
