Mobile Suit Gundam follows the story of Humanity living in 0079 of the Universal Century. Humanity has advanced so much that they have already taken over space and even built a WHOLE civilization up there.

Where does this civilization even live? You may ask. Well, they live in something that people call “Sides.” There are many Sides that people can live in. One day, the Principality of Zeon, a Side, decided to declare the Earth Federation enemy.

Zeon currently has things known as Mobile Suits. These Mobile Suits are advanced robots that are made for war and are powerful, and because of that, Zeon was wayyyy stronger than Earth.

Six months passed, and the war continued, with Zeon still having the upper hand… but not for long. Why? Because Earth just invented Gundam. Gundam is an ADVANCED mobile suit. When Zeon finds out about it, they launch an attack on the country that holdsGundam.

During this attack, a 15-year-old boy was caught in the middle of it, somehow becoming the controller of Gundam and traveling on earth and space. This 15-year-old boy’s name was Amuro Ray, who is the main protagonist of this storyline.

Let’s talk about the characters now. Mobile Suit Gundam has a variety of unique characters, each of them having its unique look and personality! That is what’s so good about this anime!

Amuro Ray

Let’s start with our MC of this anime, Amuro Ray! Amuro Ray was 15 years old when the anime started and became older as the story progressed. I mean, that’s common sense, lmao!!! Anyways, let’s talk about his character design and his personality.

Amuro Ray is about 180 CM tall, and when the series started, he was about 15 years old. Amuro lived in a colony on earth, but when Zeon attacked, he came across RX-78-2 Gundam. He quickly piloted it and managed to stop them.

Amuro is actually an outstanding technician! After fighting hundreds of battles, He started getting recognized and became one of the most substantial Mobile Suit users. People feared him!

He was given the name “White Ghost.” How? Because the Gundam that he uses is white. He continued to become stronger and better day by day and joined E.F.S.F. And soon enough, he became the best pilot there is.

For his personality, he is pretty cheerful and would never betray his friends. Oh, and I forgot to mention, he was also honored at E.F.S.F for being a good and strong mobile suit pilot! Pretty cool, am I right?

Char Aznable

Char is another character from this anime, and he is about 180 cm tall. He was 20 years old when the series started. Char weighs about 74 kg. Now, don’t mistake Char Aznable for being weak.

Char is one of the most robust characters from Mobile Suit Gundam. He has been given the name Red Comet because of how good and fast his movements were and how he colored his mobile suit red. Well, how did you know that he was powerful? You may ask.

When he was fighting at Loum, Char single-handedly defeated 5 Federation Salamis class ships on his OWN! Yes! He destroyed those 5 ships on his own! Char originally wanted to kill everyone in the Zabi family and the leader of Zeon.

Why? Because they were the ones behind his father’s death. He has met Amuro Ray many times in battles, and their matches were on the next level! That’s what happens when 2 of the most potent mobile suit pilots fight!

Bright Noa

Bright Noa is another character mentioned on this list. Noa isn’t as super strong as Char Aznable or Amuro Ray, but he is still pretty strong. He was the leader of the White Base Crew during the One-Year War.

Now, everyone has different opinions on the war. Some think of war as the wrong place and stuff. Noa also had the same views on the war, but he couldn’t share them with someone else. Why? Because of his LOW RANK!

Bright Noa always looks after Amuro and makes sure that he never makes a mistake that might affect his life forever. Soon, after the battle against Neo Zeon was done. Noa came back and became the commander of Londo Bell Forces.

Haro

Let’s talk about a small, classic character from this anime. Haro. Haro is not a human, not a devil or anything, but he is actually a ROBOT! Yes! Robot. He is a small robot, whose shape is a Sphere. Now, how is this character Classic? You may ask.

Well, Haro may not look like it, but he has appeared in almost EVERY Gundam series. Yes! Whether it was a new season or series, Haro has gotten many roles.

He has become a Side Character, a Sidekick, or just a robot. I have a question, what do you think of Robots? If you ask me, I think Robots are pretty cool! I mean, just look at them! They are sooo cool and strong! They destroy almost everything in their path.
