It is a joy for every gamer to be able to customize their avatars like what weapons to be used or what clothes to wear. It somehow gives the gamer behind the avatar the sense of living in the game as themselves.

You can do that as well in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Changing the clothing of the characters you play gives you the sense of living in the game we mentioned earlier and it would be like you’re there adventuring with your Pokemon.

Although this feature is much improved in the later Pokemon game generations, this one gives us that nostalgic feeling of living in a past-modern era, if you know what I mean. Making it quite refreshing in the eyes and much more enjoyable to play. So, here is our take of How to Change Outfit in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

WHERE TO BUY CLOTHES IN BRILLIANT DIAMOND AND SHINING PEARL?

Before we can change our clothes, we need to know first where to buy the kind of clothes we’d like our avatars to wear. Other Pokemon games in later generations have their stores in almost every city, in their own distinct regions. While the Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl has only one store in the game.

The store’s name is no other than Metronome Style Shop that is only found in Veilstone City. They provide a variety of clothes to choose from that can fit your taste as a Pokemon trainer.  Now that’s very convenient and a nice touch, making the gameplay more personal.

You can check the Metronome Style Shop just in the place of the Game Corner before. Being the only store in the game, it is just right to put up expensive price tags on it. The clothes in the shop range from twenty-one thousand to a whopping one hundred thousand.

 

WHAT KIND OF CLOTHING STYLES DOES THE METRONOME STYLE SHOP HAS?

Everyday Style

Let us start with the Free Starting outfit that we call the Everyday Style. This one can be called as the default outfit of your avatar. The designs are just simple and have that novice look.

 

Overalls Style

The price of every piece of clothing depends on what kind of style you want. If it’s the Overalls Style then you can get it with the price of twenty-one thousand Pokedollars. Your avatar will be dressed up in blue overall denim jumpers.

You will have a red headband, blue rubber shoes and wearing a brown sling bag for male avatars featuring Lucas. And for the ladies, Dawn’s appearance will have that boyish look accompanied with a pink shoulder bag and brown shoes. The Overall Styles in short are that rugged type of outfits ready for any battle ahead.

 

Spring Style

If you’re a trainer who has that spring vibrant aura, then better to have that Spring Style for your Character. Lucas’ appearance for the men, has that teal cap, brown jersey jacket, khaki shorts, black knee socks, and shoes. Dawn’s appearance represents the ladies’ avatar, she has that Cyan Green Beret hat, a pink long sleeves sweater, a checkered skirt, and brown school shoes.

The Spring Style cost is thirty four thousand Pokedollars. Choosing this outfit will surely bring those school day memories. And will certainly bring that spring breeze aesthetic whenever you choose it as your outfit of the day.

 

Cyber Style

If you’re that nerdy and techy kind of trainer who likes to collect electric type Pokemons then I think the Cyber Style would fit your electrons. For Lucas, he has that black bonnet with lime green lines, wearing a black, white and lime green hoodie for the upper body and black pants with lime green lines, paired with white and lime green shoes. And Dawn looks more mature wearing a black and orange tight dress suit paired with a black shoulder bag and a pair of black and orange shoes.

The Cyber Style has that futuristic type of design for both appearances of Lucas and Dawn. It’s a bit pricey as it cost forty-five thousand Pokedollars. But if you don’t mind the price, then go for it.

 

Winter Style

Going into cold regions in your adventures, this next clothing style is a must. Purchase the Winter Style so that you won’t freeze to death in the cold regions of the Pokemon World. For a price of fifty thousand Pokedollars, you’d stay warmed up in style and be comfortable during snowstorms.

Lucas’ outfit looks cozy with his snow hat, some ear muffs, warmed up by his blue green turtleneck shirt, brown winter jacket and paired with casual black jeans and a sling bag. While Dawn’s look is quite comfortable, wearing a pink snowcap, white earmuffs, and an orange and light yellow jersey jacket with inner turtleneck shirt paired with a long mustard yellow skirt. Just by looking at Lucas and Dawn’s Appearance in Winter Style outfit would make you feel the cold breeze as well.

 

Casual Style

Next is the Casual Style in the Metronome Style Shop. For the price of eighty six thousand Pokedollars, you’d be like local tourists in the region. Having that adventurous look in both Lucas and Dawn is quite cool.

Lucas wears a gray bandana while a teal long sleeve shirt covers his upper body, gray jagged pants and black mountain shoes for his lower accompanied by a yellow backpack. While Dawn looks so cute with her black hat, yellow jacket and an inner white dress paired with her black adventure shoes.

 

Pikachu Hoodie Style

If you’re a Pikachu believer then this one’s definitely for you. The Pikachu Hoodie Style is also available at Metronome Style Shop with the price of ninety eight thousand Pokedollars. This is one of the three special Pokemon themed clothing styles that you can buy in the shop.

More like a couple outfit, the Pikachu Hoodie Style looks quite cute on both Dawn and Lucas. They both have that black hoodie with a Pikachu silhouette and lightning designs on the shoulder lengths. While Lucas’ pants are a light shade of blue green and some white sneakers, Dawn has the dark shade of blue and a pair of orange sneakers.

 

Gengar Jacket Style

Another one of the three special Pokemon themed clothing styles is the Gengar jacket style. Which can be bought for another ninety eight thousand Pokedollars. This one compliments Pokemon trainers who like ghost and dark type of Pokemons.

Like the Pikachu Hoodie Style, the Gengar Jacket style looks cute but fearsome in Lucas and Dawn. Lucas has that gray knapsack, purple varsity jacket with Gengar’s logo paired with blue jeans and red sneakers. While Dawn has that gray cap, with the purple varsity jacket for her upper and a light blue skirt paired with her purple sneakers for the rest of the ensemble.

 

Eevee Jacket Style

Next is the last of the three Pokemon theme clothing styles and one of the most favorite styles as well. No other than the Eevee Jacket Style! It has the same price as the Pikachu Hoodie and the Gengar Jacket for ninety eight thousand Pokedollars.

Lucas’ and Dawn’s appearance with the Eevee Jacket Style is almost identical with Gengar’s. Lucas looks tough with his gray knapsack, purple shirt and a dark gray varsity jacket that comes along well with his blue denims and orange sneakers. While Dawn looks like a boss, with her dark gray varsity jacket and gray cap perfectly paired with her blue undershirt and white light blue skirt and purple sneakers.

The Pikachu Hoodie, Gengar Jacket and the Eevee Jacket are must-haves within the game. It complements the kind of Pokemon you like and it’s adorable to look at. Though you have to be plenty rich if you want all three of them in your bag.

Oh and since we’re talking about Eevee, maybe you’d hate to miss the chance of knowing every Shiny Eevee evolution.

 

Leather Jacket Style

Finally the last clothing style is the cool and bad-ass looking, Leather Jacket Style. It has a hefty price of a hundred and twenty thousand pokedollars. But that’s nothing compared to the experience in suiting up like one of the members of the Squirtle Squad in generation one Pokemon series.

Dawn and Lucas look like biker gang members with their black leather jackets and purple leggings and black shoes. Having these outfits makes you feel like a rock star that will blow away everyone in your path. Dawn looks so glamorous while Lucas looks a total badass.

 

Other Styles

Plus! There are two styles that you can also have if you want to have that uniqueness from other Clothing Styles that can be bought in the shop. The only catch is one you have to open a Mystery Gift, for you to have the Platinum Style and the other is you have to defeat the Elite Four, to obtain the Summer Style for free.

All in all you could enjoy twelve Clothing Styles for your avatar to wear in the Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. That’s twelve unique ways to suit up your character in the game. Bringing you that fulfilling feeling, living as if you’re that character in the game.

 

HOW TO CHANGE INTO YOUR OUTFIT?

Now that we have finished the “where to buy” and what kind of clothing styles are available for us, we’ll now change into our chosen outfits. The Clothing setback here in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is that, you’d need to fly over the Veilstone City, whenever you want to change outfits.

If you still don’t have the FLY option with your Flying Pokemon, it would be quite a hassle for you to go back to the Metronome Style Shop. For it is only though asking the Lady at the counter that you can have that option to change your outfit with another one. So friend, better to have your Flying Pokemon learn to fly quickly or else you’d be wearing that same outfit in every battle until it gets filthy.
