Have you ever had the thought or might as well have that curiosity of how many Pokémons were introduced? To be precise, how many Pokémons are out there? If you have noticed, the Pokémon universe is ever-expanding. It started from 151 Pokémons that were introduced in the First Generation, but now its population has grown even bigger since we are now in our Eight Generation!
Table of Contents
For more than two decades Pokémon has accumulated and introduced tons of different characters with their unique traits. To answer the question of “how many Pokémon are there?” well, as of now, there are about 905 Pokémons that are officially introduced in the National Pokedex. But, if you really delve deeper into the main Games, spin-off games, the Pokémon cards, and the such— there is so much more explanation as to why it has reached that massive amount.
For one, if we consider the remaining eight that are yet to be introduced but were already teased by the company then we could say that there are about 913 Pokémons, but let’s just follow the official one. Another thing to consider is the variety of designs in a Pokémon, which, on a more specific note– are their forms in different regions, the Mega Evolution, and Gigantamax Forms. Thus, we can see how complicated it is if we group each Pokémon together from their different variations, rather than its entirety.
With that, we have divided and laid out everything you’ll need to know about Pokémon. This includes the total amount of Pokémons there were in each game: generation, the specific terms and its brief history or general description of it– e.g. Legendary, Mythical Pokémons and Ultra Beasts– and so much more.
Note to my dear readers: buckle up guys, this is gonna be a long read!
HOW MANY POKÉMONS ARE THERE IN EACH GENERATION?
To start, the general number of Pokémons based on the National Pokédex were 905, since they recently introduced a new character named Enamorus. Also, if you have been following the games of Pokémon, then you might be aware that there are currently eight generations– as the ninth is yet to be introduced to the public although there were snippets on how it’s going to be. A lot of people who are a huge fan of Pokémon knows that in the first generation there are a total amount of 151 Pokémons that were introduced.
The first generation Pokémon consists of what we all generally know, like Charizard, Pikachu and the such. But when we go further in with the next generations, less are aware of how many there were and who their identity is. With that, to make life easier for everyone, I have made a table that simplified how many Pokémons there were in each generation.
GENERATION |
TOTAL AMOUNT OF POKEMON |
1st Generation (Kanto Region) |
151 |
2nd Generation (Johto Region) |
100 |
3rd Generation (Hoenn Region) |
135 |
4th Generation (Sinnoh Region) |
107 |
5th Generation (Unova Region) |
156 |
6th Generation (Kalos Region) |
72 |
7th Generation (Alola Region) |
88 |
8th Generation (Galar Region) |
96 |
As you can see, from the table above, the least amount of Pokémon that was produced was in the 6th Generation and the biggest number is in the 5th Generation.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A LEGENDARY, MYTHICAL POKÉMONS AND ULTRA BEASTS?
Before we begin answering this question, we have seen the breakdown of how many Pokémons are there in each region per generation. If we look into it in a much more deeper context, some of these Pokémons are classified in different specialized categories wherein, we can base it with their elemental power or through these specific names Legendary, Mythical Pokémon and Ultra Beasts. But mind you, not all Pokémons are classified as such since there are Pokémons that are deemed to be common.
Now, to answer the question of what are the differences among the Legendary, Mythical Pokémons and Ultra Beasts, we will first have to each define them.
LEGENDARY POKÉMON
We will begin with something that we all know too well—that we will probably not get lost in any translations—because we grew up learning about them. We know this stuff more than what we have learned from our math class, well at least for me though. Anyways, Legendary Pokémons have been well-known among the masses all over the years since the start of Pokémon.
These are the type of Pokémons where we can say that they are a five-star character since we all assume that they are super duper STRONG. They are the ones that we all desire to obtain at least once. If you have been following through the Pokémon Franchise, then you would probably notice that each generation has introduced a legendary Pokémon.
However, these Legendary Pokémons that were introduced in each region can either be very few or a lot of it. We probably don’t know the reason as to why it is like that, but I guess it’s the company’s way of making their audience look forward to the next game that they will make. To suffice with the few legendary Pokémon in that specific generation there are also the Mythical Pokémon and Ultra Beasts for it.
With that, if you are curious about how many Legendary Pokémons there are in each region or generation, then lucky for you my dear readers, I have a list of them. Check it out down below!

Now, going back to what I have mentioned previously, you would notice in the table above that in some generations there are very few Legendary Pokémons that were placed in a specific region. Like in the Kalos Region, there are only three Legendary Pokémons that were present. However, if we look at the recent Generation (8th Gen.), the Galar Region, we could see that there are a lot of Legendary Pokémon presented, most specifically, there are thirteen of them.
Also, if you have noticed, there are Legendary Pokémons that were listed on different generations—like Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Now, for your information, there are actually multiple legendary Pokémon in each region with the same name. Meaning, these Pokémon that were repeated are actually different since they are in different regions.
To make it clearer, the Kanto Region in the first generation is based on or located in Japan which is why it is called a Kantonian Pokémon. While the recent location, Galar Region, was based on the United Kingdom which is called Galarian Pokémon. So, technically they are a different kind of breed of Pokémon.
MYTHICAL POKÉMON
Moving on with the Mythical Pokémon, in the past, they were actually thought to be Legendary Pokémon– well, this was a normalized thought in the western society but in Japan, they specified that these two, the Mythical and Legendary Pokémons, are two different beings. So much for getting lost in translations, right? Anyways, In recent times, however, they have proven the difference between these two types of Pokémon and were made aware to the public.
One huge discrepancy between these two types of Pokémon is that the Mythical Pokémon has a lesser population compared to the Legendary. In addition to that, the Mythical Pokémons are, well, mysterious—I mean, from the name itself. Well, it is no wonder that these types of Pokémon aren’t really well known compared to the Legendary Pokémon.
This is because Mythical Pokémons can only be obtained through special events in the game. Basically, we can say that Mythical Pokémons are very rare and hard to obtain compared to Legendary Pokémon. Since they can be acquired through bumping into them while playing the game.
With that, if you are curious who these Pokémons are Mythical, the list is down below!

ULTRA BEASTS
If you think the Mythical Pokémons are not well known enough, well, think again my dear readers. Have you heard of the ‘Ultra Beasts’ Pokémons? I know I haven’t, but if you are aware of it or probably know of it then good for you. If we are the same then, now we know new stuff– the little things…
Anyways, the Ultra Beasts Pokémon are considered to be other-worldly creatures that are similar to the Legendaries. Since their characteristics are kinda the same, but not to the point that we could assume that the Ultra Beast is a Legendary Pokémon. Again, they are two DIFFERENT beings.
Furthermore, these types of Pokémons were emphasized in the 7th Generation, Alola Region of the game. We will be able to see it through the Global Trade System if you don’t include the Legendary or Mythical Pokémon. However, in the 8th Generation that wasn’t the case, you won’t be able to see the Ultra Beasts in the lists as a separate group.
Confusing right? What makes it even more confusing is that, in the Crown Tundra DLC, our boy Peony identifies them as ‘legendary’ which can only be found through the “Legendary Clue”. If you look at the word closely, the letter ‘l’ is in lowercase unlike the typical ‘Legendary’ word with an uppercase ‘L’.
Welp, it is what it is, as I previously mentioned these two types of Pokémons are different beings and most definitely different from a normal Pokémon. In fact, there are only eleven Ultra Beasts Pokémons that were introduced in the 7th Generation Pokémon Game. Here is the list below!

THE DIFFERENT VARIETY OF FORMS OR DESIGNS OF
POKÉMON
Since there are all kinds of evolutions out there in the Pokémon world, as well as different variants of Pokémon, it is a given that there exists a different breed of Pokémons. With that, we should consider the thought of various types of forms and how Pokémons were designed, as well as their evolutions.
Hence, in this part, I’ll be presenting to you the different variety of forms or designs of Pokémon that you should be aware of. Also, I’ll be introducing to you things that you might probably not know which will help you learn more about Pokémon, but if you do know about it then that’s even better since you are well aware of it! Isn’t it exciting?
MEGA EVOLUTION
To start we have the Mega Evolution, these Pokémon are an evolved version of themselves. They aren’t technically a different kind of Pokémon species, but they are thought to be distinct from them. Confusing, right? Well, to explain it in much simpler terms, these Pokémons who have undergone Mega Evolution, though it is mostly only temporary, it is considered that they are a different kind of Pokémon.
The best way to describe these Mega Evolutions of a Pokémon is that they are like a five-star character that evolved even further. You don’t get it? Well, think about Goku from Dragon Ball Z, he is already a very powerful man but when he unleashes his power-up skill, he becomes much stronger. This is what we call a Mega Evolution among the Pokémons it is by making them super duper strong that would be very hard to beat against the enemy.
The reason for that is because, once they have undergone Mega Evolution during a battle, the Pokémon will have an enhanced version of all their characteristics and skills. Let’s say, if we evolved our Charizard even further (yep, you probably know this line in the Pokémon Origins which was said by Red), their features will be enhanced or will have a different look, such as their stats and their skills. Basically, they’ll be different kinds of Pokémon, the Mega Evolution breed.
However, starting from the 8th Generation, in the core series, Mega Evolution was taken out. But, it still exists in spin-off games like Pokémon GO! With that, here is the list of Pokémons that will have a Mega Evolution:

DIFFERENT VARIANTS PER REGION
This one is also a bit confusing in a way, but I will try to explain it to you guys. These different variants per region are actually called “Regional Forms”, these are Pokémons that have the same names but live in different regions. These Pokémons who resided in different regions are what we call other variants; this is because their forms or character design is different.
Meaning, they bear the same name but are a completely different breed of a Pokémon, even their forms and abilities are not the same. Not to mention, the skills, type and stats of these Pokémons are completely different. So, how did that happen? When did it start?
Well, to answer that question, if you have been playing a lot of Pokémon games then you would know that this has started during the Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. However, these different variants of Pokémons were introduced in Sun and Moon. These variants of Pokémons that reside in other regions were located in three places—specifically in the Alola, Hisui, and Galar Regions.
These three regions were well known to have a lot of other variants of the same Pokémons. So, to differentiate them from their specific regions they are called an Alolan Pokémon for the Alola region, Hisuian Pokémon for Hisui Region and Galarian Pokémon for the Galar Region. One good example of Pokémons that are in different regions but has the same name is Meowth.
There are two variants of it from different regions which are the Alolan Meowth, that has a darker shade or color and Galarian Meowth, that has a different feature, this Meowth has a rounder form and has a different facial expression compared to the Alolan one. One the other hand, an example for the Hisuan form of a Pokémon is Sneasel.
If you look at the normal form of Sneasel, he has dark blue shade with a tinge of red with him. But for the Hisuan type of Sneasel, it has a lighter gray shade with a tinge of purple with him. All in all, these different variants from other regions are technically a variety of designs that has its own distinct features.
With that here is a list of Pokémons from different regions that are considered to have a distinct form:
ALOLA REGION (ALOLAN) |
HISUI REGION (HISUIAN) |
GALAR REGION (GALARIAN) |

TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT FORMS
In Pokémon, there are some characters that could change their forms and these appearance changes that they have can either be temporary or permanent. For the Temporary changes, this means that the Pokémon’s appearance will alter during a battle but it can only be for a limited amount of time. An example of this temporary change of a Pokémon is Meleotta where this Pokémon can alter forms between Aria and Pirouette.
Although these two Pokémons came from one character which is Meleotta, both Aria and Pirouette are different since they have their own different designs and characteristics. Also, there are some Pokémons that change their appearance permanently, one good example of that is when you fuse together Calyrex and Glastier, they will turn into Ice Rider Calyrex. With that being said, if we include those Pokémons in the total amount of Pokémons then we could have a different value of it.
EVOLUTIONARY CHANGES
For this one, there are Pokémon that have evolved to the same Pokémon. A bit confusing right? Well, to make you understand it a bit better with what I meant from the Evolutionary Changes, I will give you a good example for it.
An example of this is Samurott, when you evolve Dewott there are two kinds of results it will get from the same Pokémon. The first one would be a Samurott that is mainly water type, its characteristics would be having an increase of hp, defense state, and has its own special attack. The other one would be Samurott (Hisuian) but it’s a Water/Dark type of Pokémon, its characteristics will only include an increase in Attack and Speed.
Now mind you, these Pokémons’ characteristics and forms are different, however, they are still the same. Furthermore, there are also other Pokémons that have undergone evolutionary changes and their Gigantamax forms are different.
GIGANTAMAX
Moving on to Gigantamax, this first started during the Pokémon Sword and Shield in which this type of form is considered to be quite similar, in a way, to Dynamax. On that note, there are only a few Pokémons that can turn into a Gigantamax, these Pokémon have an innate trait called ‘Gigantamax Factor’. These Pokémons that could turn into a Gigantamax will have their normal attacks change into a G-Max Move also, and their HP increases.
Nonetheless, one thing that Gigantamax is different from other evolutions (e.g. Mega Evolution or just the Dynamax) is that Pokémons with a Gigantamax Factor won’t have any of their name changes. Like if it’s a Mega Evolutioned Pokémon, it could be named first as ‘Mega’ indicating its specified evolution. But, in Gigantamax the Pokémons name stays the same.
So, if you are wondering who these Pokémons that have a Gigantamax Factor are. I have the list here below:

There are other ways to identify the multiple forms of each Pokémon. One of them is the differences among genders of the Pokémon. Although there are some Pokémon that have yet to be identified which gender they are. Actually, the gender differences among Pokémon were introduced during the 4th Generation.
Most of the Pokémon in the 4th Gen as well as the previous generations had their own distinct gender. If you are wondering if there is any distinct feature of a Pokémon that has an identified gender. Well, the answer to that question is that there isn’t any distinction between them, just their appearance, so the player will be able to identify the Pokémon’s gender.
However, there are always Pokémons that have an exception towards this and that would be Basculegion, Indeedee, and Meowstic. These Pokémons, though they have their own gender differences, other than their distinct appearance, their skills and abilities also differ.
For Basculegion and Indeedee—their basic stats are different from each other—on the other hand, for Indeedee and Meowstic, their abilities, as well as their moves, differ. With that, aside from these three that were mentioned, there really isn’t much difference among Pokémons that have gender aside from their appearance.
So, with that, if we add this to the total amount of Pokémons out there, then it could be possible that the numbers will change. Only if we include the designs and other forms of these Pokémons, which I think would amass at least a thousand Pokémons.
A side note for my dear readers: I hope you guys are still fine and are having fun reading this blog because I truly am enjoying doing this for you guys! Also, take a rest if your eyes are hurting and come back anytime you want, don’t strain yourself too hard! Now, let’s go back to the next section which is the Pokémon By Game!
POKÉMON BY GAME
Now, if you have noticed, in a Pokémon Game, not all Pokémon were put in a single game. That is because, whenever there is a new game or generation, there will surely be new Pokémon that will be introduced by the company. This is why they focus more on adding new Pokémon rather than putting the previous ones.
Also, we all know that, in each generation, there is a specific amount of Pokémons that were included for you to be able to play—which was mentioned at the beginning of this blog. With that, we have sorted out a list of the total amount of Pokémons there are in the recent generation of the Pokémon games. However, we did not include those Pokémons that are not playable in these specific games.
Furthermore, we will only be talking about the recent generation of Pokémon Games. So, let us begin!
8TH GEN. POKÉMON SWORD AND SHIELD, BD&SP, LEGENDS: ARCEUS
As far as I know, this was the most controversial Pokémon game, specifically the sword and shield, in this generation which was called by many fans “Dexit.” This is a slang word that was created by a lot of Pokémon fans, it is because Game Freak– the creator of Pokémon this Game– has decided to let other Pokémons in the Galar Region unavailable. Basically, there are Pokémons from the previous generations that weren’t included in the Sword and Shield.
However, there was an increase in the total amount of Pokémon—this game has begun to release other Pokémon through letting players download two packs of Downloadable Contents (DLC), which will be mentioned below. With that, there might be a plausible chance that the missing Pokémons will be reactivated in these two DLC packs.
BASE GAME FOR SWORD AND SHIELD
In the Galar region, there are a total of four hundred Pokémon that were listed in the Pokedex. This was way before the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra since there are a different total amount of Pokémons that were introduced in these two other games. Anyways, going back to what we are talking about since there is a total amount of four hundred Pokémon, there are 81 Pokémon that were included from the 8th Generation.
This means that the remaining number, which is 319 Pokémons, came from the older generations. Basically, out of the 905 total number of Pokémons out there, exactly 44.8% of the population of both new and old Pokémon were put in the Sword and Shield. That’s like a lot of Pokémons have been put in a single gen.
Isle of Armor
Remember when I mentioned downloading two DLC packs? Well, this is one of ‘em. Most specifically, this is the first one that got released of the two packs. The Isle of Armor is an island along the shores off the Galar Mainland, this is where additional Pokémon were included—both new and old Pokémon.
On this Island,is where some new Pokémon are located in this area, which are—Kubfu, Urshifu, and Zarude. Not to mention, this is where the Galarian Slowpoke and Slowbro are found too. With that, if we include these three new Pokémon that are from the 8th Generation, we will be having a total of 84 Pokémon.
Also, on this island, there are a total of 102 Pokémons that were introduced again. This means that, if we add the previous total number of Pokémons in Sword and Shield, the amount would be 421 Pokémons. Basically, almost half of the Pokémons are present in this Game.
So, if you have this pack then you would know that it has its own Pokedex, just like any other location in the Pokémon Game. For the Isle of Armor, there are a total of 211 Pokémon that were listed in the Pokedex. The other Pokémons are at can be seen at the mainland.
Crown Tundra
Moving on to the second downloadable content pack from Pokémon Sword and Shield, which is the Crown Tundra. This is a new location that is situated in the southern part of the Mainland (the Galar Mainland). The Crown Tundra has a lot of Pokémon that cannot be found at the other two locations in Galar.
Here, we will be able to see a lot of Pokémons from the previous generation as well as new Pokémon! But wait, there’s more, these new Pokémon that were introduced are actually LEGENDARY Pokémon! Yep, you read that right, they are Legendaries that we all love to have!
The new legendary Pokémon that were introduced here in Crown Tundra are– Calyrex, Glastier, Regieleki, Regidrago, and Spectrier. Also, let’s not forget the Galarian Pokémon that can be found in this location are—the Galarian Articuno, Moltres, Slowking, and Zapdos. With that, if we include these eight brand new Pokémon, there will be a total amount of 89 Pokémons that were introduced in the 8th Generation.
Furthermore, the previous generation of Pokémons that were included has a total amount of 119. So if we add them all up together with the previous ones, then there are 540 Pokémons that reside in the Galar region. That probably captures MORE than HALF of the total amount of all Pokémon characters that were introduced in all generations.
SPIN-OFF GAMES
If there are main games of Pokémon then, of course, there are also spin-off games from it! These spin-off games have been part of the Pokémon franchise for a very long time. From the very first spin-off game called “Hey You, Pikachu!” that was released in 1998 to the latest game which is the “New Pokémon Snap”, this is actually a remake of the older version of “Pokémon Snap.” This latest spin-off game was just recently released last year, so it’s fairly new.
This means that there are more Pokémons that will be included here. Although, I’ll only be mentioning a few of the Spin-off games and their Pokémons. Since there are actually a lot of Spin-off games that were created to be part of the Pokémon Franchise.
POKÉMON CAFE REMIX
This is a very cute spin-off Pokémon game that has been recently released for android and IOS. This game is far different from what a typical Pokémon game would be, the adventure type and catching Pokémons. As the name itself says, this game is actually a cafe game where you take orders from your customers and what’s fun is that, for you to be able to complete your customers order, you’ll need to solve a puzzle.
For this game, the developers actually are quite consistent in adding in Pokémons for each of their updates. Actually, the name of the game was replaced to what we have now, before, this game does not have the “Re” part of the “ReMix” that means the original name of the game used to be called “Pokémon Cafe Mix.”
Another cute thing in this game is that the Pokémon characters here have a designated role in the cafe, plus, each of them have a specific adorable outfit that they are wearing to fit the theme of the game. Their outfit is based on their role as a character inside the game or to be more precise their special skills in the cafe.
Like for example, Starly, her role or specialty is making sweets. On the other hand, Kirlia specializes in creating drinks. Furthermore, what makes this game even more adorable and fun is that, the name of the dishes came after the Pokémon Characters! A few examples of these dishes are the ‘Pikachu Fruit Flan’ and the ‘Fluffy Eevee Pancakes’ don’t you think the names are so cute?!
If you are curious which Pokémon is in this game and their roles/specialization, then check out the list here below! Note that, the Pokémons that I will be listing down here are the ones you can recruit.

Pokémon GO!
Now, here is a Pokémon spin-off game that we all know too well! Obviously, since this has been a huge hype or a trend all over the world. I, myself, am guilty of getting addicted playing this game, because it is so much fun hunting for Pokémons!
If you don’t know this game, I will give you a brief description about it. But, really though, I recommend this game for you guys to enjoy playing (just don’t get addicted to it though), since you can just download it through your phone. Anyways, Pokémon Go! is like a virtual reality, adventure game wherein you, yourself is the main character and will be searching for the Pokémons where you are currently living.
Before, the developers constantly had a lot of Pokémons that were introduced and were added inside the game. But recently, the Pokémons that were added grew fewer as years went by which is why the Pokémons that were added in the game now are a single set of evolutionary family.
Also, it is kinda surprising that there were Pokémons from other generations that were omitted and proceeded to add the recent generation of Pokémon which is the 8th Gen. This certain generation that wasn’t included in Pokémon Go! is the 7th Generation Pokémons. Also, to think that, the developers were still in the process of adding Pokémons from both 5th and 6th Generation.
With that, do you think the Developers will finish adding the Pokémons from the 5th and 6th Generation? Or will they just leave some out of it? Write it down in the comment section about your own opinions regarding this because we would love to know about it!
With that, if you are looking for a list of all the Pokémons that exist in this game so that you’ll be able to complete your Pokedex, then it is gonna be hard for you, my dear readers. This is because the process is a bit confusing and it takes a lot of time to see them, since there are Pokémons inside this game that are hard to catch or let alone be encountered. With that, I have broken down Pokémons that are hard to capture into four specific groups.
Event-locked Pokémon
These are Pokémons that can only be found during special occasions, which is why it is locked only at that certain time. These events can only occur a few times in a year, for example a Halloween event for Pokémon, they will release a specific Pokémon for that event. Meaning, this certain Pokémon that can only be found during that occasion and not anywhere else.
If you think these are Legendary Pokémons, then you are close enough. Well, to be precise these aren’t technically Legendary Pokémons, these are Pokémons that have their own tailored appearances that fit for a specific event. With that, if you are planning on getting these Pokémons, then you’ll need lots and lots of patience in waiting for the event or you can just trade it.
Regional Pokémons
For this one, these are specific Pokémons that can only be found in other regions or countries that are located all over the world. It may be a very small area of the country or maybe it might be a big place. Now this is the reason why it is quite difficult to complete your national Pokedex in Pokémon Go! because of this very fact that some Pokémons are found in specific parts of the world.
However, as a good samaritan, I shall provide you with some typical tricks in getting these Pokémons to be added on your National Pokedex. The first one would be of course, you’ll need to be very rich in real life because you’ll be travelling around those places. As a matter of fact, there really are some players who do travel far just so they would be able to get those Pokémons.
The second one is actually the most common trick to do, which is trading Pokémons to other people. There are a lot of ways online in getting to trade your Pokémon through engaging to social media places like Discord, Facebook, and etc. Lastly, in this tip, it is quite similar to the Event-locked Pokémon wherein, you’ll have to wait for an event to occur and there you’ll be able to get these Pokémons from other regions.
With that, here are the list of Pokémons that are situated in different countries or regions.

Legendary Pokémon
For this one, it is given that catching or even seeing one Legendary Pokémon in this game, or like any other Pokémon games, is quite hard. You’ll need to have a lot of patience in waiting for these legendary Pokémons to just pop up! Usually, Legendary Pokémons will show up on raids but that depends on how many days or weeks that will last.
Meaning, in just getting or seeing a Legendary Pokémon in this spin-off game, they will pop up on just a limited time basis. But, other than that, the only way or the fastest way in obtaining a Legendary Pokémon is through trading. However, there are still instances where you can be able to encounter Legendary Pokémon which is through increasing your level in the Battle League in Pokémon GO!
As we all know, it’s actually quite hard to increase your rank in the GO Battle League since, as you move up your ranks, the harder it is to beat your enemy.
Mega evolution
Now for our last one, it is the Mega Evolution Pokémons which can be encountered during raids. This is quite similar to the Legendary Pokémons, for you to be able to obtain the necessary energy for you to Mega Evolve your Pokémon, you really have to wait for raids. Just as I mentioned above, this is gonna take a toll on your patience since you will be waiting a lot.
Although, there are some other ways in getting the Mega Energy for you to evolve your Pokémons. The first one would be conducting a field research since there are some instances wherein your rewards would be the Mega Energy. Another thing you could do is that, if you have already Mega evolved your Pokémon, then all you have to do is walk them all the time to get the needed Mega Energy.
With that, these are the four types of Pokémons that would be a hard task for you to include in your National Pokedex. But, with some persistence and patience you’ll be able to complete them all!
POKÉMON UNITE
Pokémon Unite, another game that has become well-known since its release! If you enjoy playing LOL, Warcraft, and Mobile Legends then this mobile multiplayer game is for you, since its gameplay is quite similar to Pokémon Unite. With that, in playing this game, you’ll be in a group of five and battle against the enemy who also is a five-group party.
Just like the games I’ve mentioned, you’ll be choosing one character for you to play. The Pokémon that you have chosen will evolve once the level increases further. So basically, the Pokémon will start from the basic ones and after that you increase your level and they will evolve.
However, there is one Pokémon that cannot evolve and that is our adorable Pikachu. Although once his level increases, it is a given that his stats will grow further like any other Pokémon characters inside the game and if he is built well. With that, if you haven’t played this game yet and are curious which Pokémon they have included, then check out this full list below!

NEW POKÉMON SNAP
Another very, unique game coming from the Pokémon Franchise is the New Pokémon Snap. It is actually a very engaging game, and if you are into photography, then this game is for you! In the New Pokémon Snap, your missions will just revolve around taking a snap on Pokémons.
However, the tricky part of it is that these Pokémons have a designated schedule and specific spots in when they will be spawning. Also, per stage, there is a certain amount of Pokémons that you need to take a snap of. This means that your patience here will also be tested, for the Pokémons that were inputted here in the game, there is a total amount of 234 Pokémons that are part of this game.
Now mind you, there are some Pokémons that will spawn in different locations or stages. That means, there will be a lot of Pokémons for you to snap! With that, I have created a table below indicating how many Pokémons there are in each stage or location.

If you are wondering why I did not input the full list of all the Pokémons present in this game, that is because it’s gonna be a very long list and you might probably not want that. So, might as well just state the total amount of it so that you can be aware of how many Pokémon are there in this game per stage. Also, I don’t wanna spoil you too much about the Pokémons that are here inside the game.
This is because the fun and mysterious part of the game will be gone! Also, I have already spoiled you guys too much information about the other spin-off games, so let this one be a mystery and I recommend you guys to play this game! I know you’re going to enjoy it!
CONCLUSION
And now we are finished! Good job everyone for reaching till the end! Now, give yourself a pat in the back!
I hope you guys took your time reading this blog. Also, I hope that you have learned another fun information about Pokémons because I know I do! Especially on the Spin-off games that I have introduced, which, by the way, makes me want to play it.
Most especially the Pokémon Cafe ReMix game, since it can be downloaded on my mobile phone. This game really did pique my interest since it does not involve a lot of strenuous work and it is also easy to manage. How about you guys?
Tell us in the comments below which spin-off game piqued your interests!
With that, to really answer the question with “How many Pokémons out there?” we should always stick with what is officially announced, because we follow rules, that is—905 Pokémons. But, as I have said previously, if we really did include the other variants, evolution, design forms and the such—there is a possibility that the total number of Pokémons would reach up to a thousand of them. But, that is if we do include them.
So here ends our very, very, veeeeery long blog about Pokémons and their total amount! See you in our next blog or might as well check out our other blogs about Pokémons, guys! Surely, there will be more interesting stuff to read about Pokémons!
