Choso was overcome by a flood of fabricated memories, each one brimming with joyful grins and carefree laughter. (Manga Chapter 106)
Coincidence? I think not!
Yuji can unconsciously implant FAKE memories into his enemies’ heads, and it only kicks in when he’s in a life-threatening situation!
It appears that the effects of Yuji’s technique are permanent, and those who are affected by it view him as someone close to them.
Not until chapter 135 was released wherein Choso explained that it was an effect of his cursed technique: blood connection.

Second Theory: Memory Manipulation is Genetic
In the world of Jujutsu, a person’s cursed technique is heavily influenced by genetics, which has been highlighted on several occasions, especially about the three great sorcerer families.
This theory suggests that Yuji’s ability may have been inherited from either his mother or father.
And it seems that Yuji was affected by it as well! In chapter 24, he mentioned that he couldn’t recall his parents.
Did Yuji’s parents do that memory technique to protect him, OR is there some deeper reason behind it?
Third Theory: Memory Manipulation is a Sub-Power of Soul Manipulation
For the final part, imagine this: Memory Manipulation is a type of Soul Manipulation. There might even be two separate cores in the soul itself!
The outer core is the body
The inner core is the mind
Mahito’s cursed technique lets him manipulate the outer core of a person’s soul, which is why he can transfigure humans.
Meanwhile, Yuji’s cursed technique may give him the power to alter the inner core of a soul, that’s probably the reason why he can implant fake memories into his enemies.
You know how scary Mahito’s power is, right? But have you ever wondered if Yuji has even more control than him? I mean, being able to mess with someone’s memories is seriously FREAKY!
Unresolve Question
But there’s something I’m still curious about. Why didn’t Satoru Gojo sense Itadori’s power? Even Sukuna has no idea what the heck is going on! Does Itadori’s power truly even exist, or is it something that’s very hidden?

Aside from his cursed technique what if I tell you that Yuji’s parents are still alive and his birth was actually planned?
