‘Sup guys! Are you up for another show? Well now’s the good time to watch UQ Holder! With a total of 12 episodes, you are diving into the world of magic and immortals. A fantasy-driven show just like any Fantasy Anime that will hook you up till the last episode because guess what? There are no fillers! I’ll give you a summary of each episode to give you a quick preview of what’s to come 😉

EPISODES
Episode 1 – The Beauty and the Boy
As stated at the episode’s title. “The Beauty and the Boy,” the first episode mainly introduces Evangeline A.K. Mcdowell aka Yukihime, a beautiful vampire who has lived about 700 years, currently living in a small town hiding her identity as a professor with Touta Konoe a middle school student living under her roof due to an unfortunate accident.
With Yukihime as a professor at the same school where Touta is, they have bonded all the way. Along with Touta’s friends, they were constantly trying to win against the oh-so-mighty Yukihime who can wield magic believing that it would be the first step to their dream of going to the capital and climbing the “Pillar of Heaven” tower. Now we’re getting some magic manga vibes here! Until a bounty hunter revealed its identity and targeted Yukihime leading to the unraveling of the identity and hidden powers of Touta.
Episode 2 – You Can’t Hate Someone You Meet Naked
This is the beginning of Touta and Yukihime’s journey toward the capital. Wandering through the abandoned cities, they meet Kuromaru Tokisaka who wields a sword inflicted with magic. Ostracized by the family for being an immortal being, as a member of the Fushigaru clan who is known for hunting immortals, Kuromaru must defeat the infamous vampire Evangeline A.K. Mcdowell.
Somehow, Touta befriended Kuromaru where we discovered how much a simpleton Touta can be. Find out why he wants to climb the cliff lmao. Their friendship became a conversation with funny jokes and banter.
Episode 3 – Palace of the Immortals
It was revealed that Yukihime already led an organization with immortal beings, UQ Holder. In this episode, Touta Konoe and Kuromaru Tokisaka were put into a test to enter the organization which is to be able to direct a physical attack on a UQ holder. Accompanied by Jinbei Shishido, a UQ holder no. 2, Touta and Kuromaru trained their hardest to win the test.
Yes, the holders are ranked with Yukihime as the no. 1, the strongest. I gotta stay, each UQ holder has its unique abilities which will be interesting to see in future episodes.
Episode 4 – Invasion of the Assassins
Touta and Kuromaru are now off to their first assignment with Karin’s guidance to the slums. There Touta meets Kaito, a wandering martial artist, and had the opportunity to let Kaito teach him the flash step technique. By doing things with feet only 😮 However, a certain group had arrived in the slums and called themselves immortal hunters.
Episode 5 – Magia Erebea
The fight with the immortal hunters continued to challenge the UQ holders which led to Touta’s hidden power surfacing, the ‘Magia Erebea’. Here, the story starts to slowly build up about Magia Erebea with the Dark Evangel, Yukihime as its first wielder. Through this episode, the second wielder was introduced witnessing the fight behind the scenes, a white-haired man. And I guess this man plays a pivotal role involving Touta and Yukihime.
Episode 6 – Kuromaru’s Dark Days
With this episode, we have come to learn more about Kuromaru as a demi-human and their feelings towards Touta. With a sword as the wingman? That’s kinda fun to talk with! Lol. Kidding aside, Kuromaru revealed that they are a member of the Yata no Karasu which has its unique trait that they remain genderless until reaching adulthood. Maybe this is an anime where you can find Transgender Characters.
This is interesting because it’s quite rare to have a character to relate with for those who are gender neutral. So it’s exciting to see how Kuromaru’s character will progress. You have my support Kuromaru! Fighting!
Episode 7- Reset and Restart
Now, another UQ Holder is introduced and this holder will probably be one of my favorites! Kirie Sakurame, UQ holder no.9, warned Touta of what was to come. With her ability to “reset and restart’‘, she is somewhat able to predict the future. Kirie warned that Fate Averruncus will initiate an interaction with Touta that would probably lead to his death and other UQ Holders. With the help of her ability, they will find a way to trap Fate and escape such tragedy.
Episode 8 – Operation: Capture Fate
Now, the plan to capture Fate takes action! With Kirie’s ability, the crew successfully captured Fate now in a cave located underneath the headquarters. To Fate’s disappointment, a long-awaited reunion happened with Yukihime’s arrival. However, Fate offers one question to each holder in exchange to let him go.‘Cause he declared that he knows everything lol. Thus, the UQ Holders considered this a one-time opportunity.
Episode 9 – Love, Baths, and Vigorous Exercise
This episode started light with Mizore Yukihiro’s arrival and claimed that Touta is a descendant of a lady-killer. A lot happened really, the harem is going wild! In the midst of it all, Yukihime finally confronted Touta about the truth of everything. And how I loved how the story goes from here on.
Episode 10 – Welcome to Mahora Academy
In this episode, a Mahora Martial Arts Tournament is held and we have come to meet some of Negi Springfield’s students. Through such a connection, Touta was able to enter the tournament. But then, a disruption occurs as Touta’s opponent has brought the possessed Negi Springfield into the tournament!
Episode 11 – Her Love Story
The story draws near to its conclusion as the Mage of the Beginning, Ialda Both, have appeared! With the possessed Negi Springfield’s appearance and his crew, Yukihime arrived on time. However, Ku:nel Sanders, a mage that created the sword, Imma, brought them into Ialda Baoth’s illusion turning things into a mental fight.
Episode 12 – Adeat! Everlasting Love!
The battle continues within the mage’s illusionary world. With the help of Fate and the arrival of Asuna Kagurazaka, the twilight princess, the crew was able to push through. See how it ends!
