But you know, every anime has one thing which most of us don’t like, and that is filler episodes. Fillers can be a waste of time or can be fun, but most of the time they are boring. That’s why I’m here with the Sailor Moon filler episodes guide.
I don’t want you to get interrupted by filler episodes. That’s one of the main reasons why I’m making this blog. So, let’s get into it.

Sailor Moon (Season 1)

Sailor Moon (Season 1) has 47 episodes in total it started airing in 1992 to 1993. Out of 47 episodes 28 are filler episodes.
Before going further, you should know something: Sailor Moon is divided into parts, and those 5 parts are the individual arcs as well. Each part is an arc itself, so if you think about it, which one is the best arc or how many arcs are there in Sailor Moon?
I will say you have to watch the whole Sailor Moon series, so you don’t miss anything and as I said 5 Parts, 5 Arcs in total.

It all starts with an ordinary middle school girl, Usagi Tsukino. Usagi was a normal teenage girl until one day she saved a black cat. The cat that Usagi saved has the name Luna, and Luna was not an ordinary cat.
Luna revealed to Usagi that she is Sailor Moon and that she must locate the moon princess. I don’t know how I should put this, but I would be more amazed to see a talking cat, than becoming a heroine! Usagi, aka Sailor Moon, fights monsters at night, sent by Queen Beryl of the Dark Kingdom.
Ok, so just so you know, in season 1, Sailor Moon is also known by its arc name, which is called the Dark Kingdom Arc.
Dark Kingdom, Arc

Basically, the Dark Kingdom Arc/Sailor Moon S1 is based on how Usagi became Sailor Moon and how she defeated Queen Beryl. How did she meet the rest of the characters like Sailor Mars, Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Jupiter, and others? Besides having so many fillers, it is really good. You’ll enjoy it for sure.
Filler Episodes: Season 1
Episode 2:- Punishment Awaits: the House of Fortune is the Monster Mansion

After failing his last assignment, Jadeite notifies Queen Beryl, the Dark Kingdom’s ruler, that he is employing a new strategy, this time including fortune-telling. Meanwhile, Usagi’s classmate Gurio Umino is head over heels in love with her.
Naru has him see a fortune-teller after revealing that he wants to go on a date, but he chooses to go to the House of Fortune. In an attempt to confirm that Motoki is a fan of Usagi, Luna instructs her to see a fortune teller, but Usagi instead visits the House of Fortune.
However, Umino and several of the other pupils are entranced by the tarot cards and cause problems at school the following day. Recognizing that the House of Fortune was hypnotising the pupils, Luna and Usagi break into the mansion and come upon Balm, a monster dressed as a fortune teller.
Balm instructs her mesmerised followers to assault Usagi, but Tuxedo Mask diverts her attention and with his assistance, Usagi kills Balm, restoring normalcy to the customers.
Episode 7:- Usagi Learns Her Lesson: Becoming a Star is Hard Work

Jadeite, a celebrity, attracts a large audience but she got possessed by a monster. Usagi strives to balance her responsibilities as Sailor Moon with her ambition to be renowned and famous.
Episode 9:- Usagi's Disaster: Beware the Clock of Confusion

Jadeite’s latest strategy is to force humans to work harder in order to boost their energy production. Usagi’s mother buys her a new clock, which drains her vitality; Ami, now awoken as Sailor Mercury, assists Luna in her investigation.
Episode 15:- A New Enemy Appears: Nephrite's Evil Crest

Makai Tree Arc

Even though the Makai Tree Arc is all filler, it tells how Sailor Moon gained her memory, which she lost during the fight with Queen Beryl. Sailor Moon’s new powers and attacks are also revealed.
Black Moon Arc

The Black Moon Arc begins with Chibiusa, the future daughter of Usagi (Sailor Moon) and Mamoru (Tuxedo Mask). Oh yeah, Usagi and Mamoru are in a relationship as well (SO Kawaiiii). The main thing is that their future daughter, Chibiusa, was brainwashed and now she is evil.
In the Black Moon Arc, Sailor Pluto is also introduced; she is the guardian of the Space-Time Door. In this season, we can see how Sailor Moon brought her daughter back to normal and how they both fought together and defeated Wiseman the Death Phantom.
I don’t know why it has to be their future daughter in the first place who turns evil, but I do know that the reaction of Sailor Moon to this, must be UNBELIEVABLE! Like, how would you react if your future daughter met you as an evil girl? It’s funny, it really is.

Sailor Moon S (Season 3)

The third season of Sailor Moon, also known as Sailor Moon S, started airing from 1994 to 1995. 38 episodes have come out, and 15 of them are filler episodes. OK, so this season’s arc is called Mugen Academy/Infinity.
Infinity Arc

The Infinity Arc begins with the arrival of new enemies known as the Death Busters, who are led by Professor Tomoe. Tomoe has a daughter, Hotaru, and she’ll be the Sailor Saturn Guardian of Destruction.
Before becoming Sailor Saturn Hotaru becomes the host of Mistress 9 also known as Messiah of Silence. Hotaru is a threat to the Sailor Scouts because she is the Guardian of Destruction and her awakening will be dangerous. Sailor Uranus (Haruka Tenoh) and Sailor Neptune (Michiru Kaioh) are introduced in season 3 as well. Let me tell you Haruka (Sailor Uranus) is a girl, not a guy, don’t get confused by her appearance.
Sailor Moon transforms into Sailor Moon Super and defects to the leader of Death Buster’s Professor Tomoe. Well, this might be the reason why this season is called Sailor Moon S. Hotaru has become a baby but she’ll return for sure. I’m excited because every season/part revolves around a completely different plot. Sailor Moon is a Feel-Good type of anime that’s why everyone likes it.
Filler Episodes: Season 3

Dead Moon Circus Arc

A circus that appeared during an eclipse was called Dead Moon Circus. Dead Moon Circus was after Pegasus. That’s because Pegasus is the guardian of the Golden Crystal of Dreams. Dark Moon Circus is led by Zirconia but Zirconia was led by Queen Nehelenia.
Later, Nehelenia gets the crystal and betrays Zirconia by destroying her. We also get to know about Nehelenia’s past, and that was tragic. Nehelenia desires to stay beautiful forever but loses her beauty when she is defeated by Sailor Moon.
Sailor Moon saves Chibiusa and Helios returns home, bringing Sailor Moon Super S to a close. I guess they put a lot of stuff, all in one season, but the storyline is great because…(why’s it great?).

Just so you know, season 5 starts with a sub-arc from episodes 167 to 172. This sub-arc plays a major role in connecting seasons 4 and 5.
Nehelenia Sub-Arc

Usagi’s youngest sister is a bizarre girl named Chibi Chibi. Sailor Uranus and Neptune join Galaxia in the assassination of Sailor Pluto and Saturn. Uranus and Neptune are pitted against Eternal Sailor Moon and the Starlights. Uranus and Neptune try but fail to invade Galaxia.
Galaxia explains that she is imprisoned by Chaos. Galaxia is being redeemed by Eternal Sailor Moon. The Star Seed of Sailor Moon is destroyed by Galaxia. Chibi Chibi transforms into Sailor Moon Chibi Chibi and saves Sailor Moon.
Galaxia is healed by Sailor Moon as Princess Serenity. Galaxia is now free of chaos. Everyone has been resurrected. The Starlights have returned to their home. Usagi and Mamoru marry and have a happy life together. Damn! To be honest, I’m in love with Sailor Moon. It’s such a good anime, it’s just a feel-good type. It’s not just feel good, it’s the story, arc, characters, everything is awesome. Don’t you think so, or is it just me?
