We all have mixed feelings about fillers. I mean, it’s nice to have some extra episodes to enjoy, especially when the side story is super interesting or extremely funny.

However, when they interrupt us in the middle of a great fight or cliffhanger, they can be very annoying.

My way of doing things when an anime is already completed is to skip the fillers, watch the entire thing without interruption, and then have my little treat at the very end.

Some anime, like Naruto and Bleach, have a really high filler percentage. It’s really rare to find a super long anime with minimum interference, but Reborn! is different.

THE FILLER LIST

There are only 29 reported fillers in 203 episodes, or only 14 percent of the total. A minuscule number in comparison to the other two mentioned anime which both hit the 40-43 percent filler rate.

Anyways, it’s nice to know in advance what you’re getting yourself into, so here is the entire Reborn Episode List along with all the reported filler episodes.

Reborn Filler Episodes

Episode 56: Gokudera’s Story

Lambo just woke up from his long coma and missed most of the previous action, so Gokudera narrates to him what happened to them so far, making this episode a recap of the Varia Arc.

Episode 97: The Great Chase

This one is also a recap of the previous arc, The Future Arc. At the beginning of the episode, we can see Gokudera’s kitten box weapon running off somewhere, and its possessor immediately chases after it. This is when the recap starts. All the events from episodes 74 to 96 will be summarized in 23 little minutes.

Episode 119: Interval Between Battles

The narrator changed. The one who will be introducing this arc’s recap will be Lal Mirch. The Milliefiore base invasion will be the main topic, and the episode will end when Gokudera’s and Gamma’s battle concludes.

Episode 141 – 155

This one is a long one. The integrality of Season 6 and the two first episodes of Season 7 are fillers.

To explain things in a nutshell, the Reborn summons Tsuna and all his guardians. He instructs them to gather at Namimori Island to prepare for the upcoming trial.

When all the guests arrived at the said destination, the reason for their gathering was revealed. A battle between Tsuna’s family and Reborn was going to be held.

Reborn’s first victim is Tsuna himself. He knocks him unconscious right at the beginning of the battle, then moves on to dispose of the riff raff, Tsuna’s guardians. Well, you can imagine how things ended. A total victory for our rebirth here!

Episode 177 – 190

They didn’t give us much of a breather since right at the end of Season 7, the fillers began again, and they lasted till the end of Season 8, and also took over the first episode of Season 9.

A little abstract of episode 178 events should give you a rough idea of what Season 8 will be about:

Byakuran really proved himself to be a formidable adversary. Tsuna and his friends really had a long way to go before even dreaming of facing off against him. They still need to grow much stronger.

With this goal in mind, Reborn gets Spanner to send Tsuna and the rest of the group, Yuni, back to the past.

They were back when they had just overcome the Arcobaleno trials and were meeting the other Arcobaleno. Reborn personally summoned him to train along with Tsuna and the others.

Yuni activates her special power and starts up Tsuna’s Vongola ring, which reveals the image of the Vongola First.

First, Vongola informs Tsuna and company that they will be put on trial by the Vongola guardians of the first generation.

These people will have to decide whether or not the Vongola is right for them before they go back in time.

Reborn takes over and continues by explaining that the First’s guardians will come forth from the ring and they will put to the test their individual inheritors.

Before the test begins, they still have the chance to prepare themselves and train. Each one of them is assigned an Arcobaleno that matches their element of choice.

Later that same night, the first apparition of the First Generation Guardians will be witnessed, and they will proclaim it to their respective heirs. From that point on, each successor will be meticulously observed by their guardians.

I guess you got the gist of it. I will leave the rest to your imagination, and let’s move on!

Conclusion

Sorry, there is nowhere to move to since that’s the end of the filler list. Like I said before, there aren’t many of them. It’s just weird that they took over the end of the anime instead of filling in its beginning, but oh well, who cares.

In my opinion, the last filler season is really the best one. It’s a season that is really worth watching. It’s like a new story in the story, not like the many recaps that we have previously seen.

In the end, fillers are fillers. Skip them at your leisure. They are not related in any way to the main story of Reborn!
