Psycho-Pass being a banger show back in the days blew the minds of people with its unique story, This anime introduced so many technologies in the story that left our minds blown, right? PSYCHO-PASS - Plot
Anime Storyline:
It’s a crime drama that revolves around the advanced world of technology where they can control the minds of criminals. Officer Akane Tsunemori helps people to fix their problems within a system with the help of untapped criminals which are known as Enforcers. These are actually the bloodhounds of the police force.
The world of Psycho-Pass is seen through the eyes of Officer Akane Tsunemori. He’s basically a rookie inspector within Unit One. He belongs to the Ministry of Welfare Public Safety Bureau’s Criminal Investigation Department. Whew, that was a long name. Anyways, Shinya Kagami is an enforcer during his first mission. He’s able to use the dominator side too whenever he sees someone putting her in danger.
When Shinya thought that Akane Tsunemori was a threat to her, she used the dominator which is a psychological suppressor and stopped the decomposition of the criminal. Kogami thanked them since she saved them for what could be perceived as murder.
As the story proceeds, new characters are introduced within the series. Shogo Makishima is the main antagonist in Psycho-Pass who is a prolific criminal MASTERMIND! So, Makishima is basically Asymptomatic. What’s Asymptomatic? It’s when a person is assessed by the Sibyl System as having low criminal actions despite doing higher-level criminal activities. Does it make sense? It’d only make sense if you guys would watch Psycho-Pass.
Tsunemori on his journey joins a veteran inspector named Nobuchika Ginoza who isn’t really fond of Enforcers. A middle-aged enforcer named Tomomi Masaoka also joins him along with Shusei Kagari and Yayoyi Kunizuka. This unit starts hunting down Makishima.
However, Kogami is the most invested in doing it. Meanwhile, our main antagonist is invited by Joshu Kasei which is the android form of the Sibyl System just to join their ranks. Makishima with something else plotted, refuses and flees from there. Knowing that the most invested person is Kogami, leaves Unit One to find and kill him. The Sibyl System orders Tsunemori to capture Makishima and to execute Kogami. What will happen next? Will our MC betray his friend just for the ranks?
Unit One looks for both men now. Whereas, Kogami realizes the evil plans of Makishima. Makishima with the intention of posing a biological threat, kills Masaoka while attempting to murder his son. Way to go! That’s like killing two birds with one stone, LITERALLY!
When Kogami spots him, he wounds Makishima but is stopped by Tsunemori at the end. Kogami agrees to work together despite being super pissed off by the Enforcers. Makishima, making his way out, tries to harm Tsunemori. And when that happens, Kogami instantly uses Masaoka’s gun to BAM!
In the Epilogue, Nobuchika Ginoza who’s one of the allies becomes a Reinforcer after experiencing his father’s death. On the other hand, Tsunemori becomes the new leader. Meanwhile, Kogami is last seen on a ship. What could this mean? Where could Kogami have gone? If you want to know what happens further, watch Psycho-Pass!
