THE PROMISED NEVERLAND SEASON 1
The 1st Season of The Promised Neverland started its run on January 11, 2019, and eventually finished airing on March 29, 2019. It has 12 episodes in total and it was animated by CloverWorks studios which is famous for series like Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai, Horimiya, and Darling in The Franxx. So you’re safe in that one because CloverWorks ain’t no push-off when it comes to producing big titles.
All of the episodes and the original run of the season covered Chapter 1-37 of the Promised Neverland Manga with some bonus chapters here and there. It covers the Introduction Arc and Jailbreak Arc which is not a lot considering the manga had a total of 20 volumes and 181 chapters. Anyway, The 1st Season surely was a banger, and below you can find the official and complete filler list so you can watch without worries!

THE PROMISED NEVERLAND SEASON 2
The Promised Neverland Season 2 started airing on January 8, 2021, and ended on March 26, 2021. It was originally set to release only a year after the 1st season but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they decided to move it to Winter 2021. The 2nd season had fewer episodes than the 1st season with only 11 episodes in total. Nonetheless, it was animated by Cloverworks studios again and you can watch both seasons on Funimation, Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu.
While the 1st season of The Promised Neverland consisted mostly of Manga canon episodes, the 2nd season is quite scattered and has mixed episodes as well as anime-only episodes. This was because it was a bit rushed and skipped several arcs to cover the entire series. It continued where Season 1 left off but Season 2 decided to speed run the entire thing like Mario and got a lot of backlash because of it. Nonetheless, it still is worth a watch because through this you’ll finally finish the premise of The Promised Neverland!

PLOT
After reaching all the way here, you might be curious about some of the words and phrases I said. Okay, forget about the “Avengers, Assemble!” one that doesn’t matter. But I bet you’re curious about the word “food” that I mentioned in the introduction. Well, below I’ll give you a little snippet of what you can expect from this intriguing series.
In a secluded part of the world where there is nothing but dense forests, lies an orphanage. It’s surrounded by trees and the only way in and out is through a gate that leads to a dark corridor in the very front of the area. In the orphanage, there are a total of 38 children of different ages, they play, laugh, and treat each other like family with a beautiful lady named Isabella as their mother and caretaker.
Among these 38 children are Ray, Emma, and Norman, the oldest and most intelligent among everyone in the orphanage. The area was known as the Grace Field House and in rare moments some kids get adopted and bid farewell with a smile to their fellow orphans. Another normal day for the Grace Field House where Norman, Emma, Ray, and the other kids play a game of tag.
As Emma catches Norman their conversation takes a weird turn. Norman dreams about the world outside Grace Field and a time where every single one of them will get a family of their own. The next day, Conny, another child in the Grace Field house finally got adopted. Her smile is pure and tears start pouring out of everyone’s eyes as they say their final goodbye to her.
Isabella guides Conny to her new family waiting outside Grace Field. While they are cleaning, Emma sees that Conny forgot her favorite stuffed animal. Together with Norman, they rush off to catch Conny and return the bunny back to her. There, they finally cross through the gates separating Grace Field from the outside world.
What they find is a dark alleyway with a truck parked right in the middle of it. She figures out that Isabella must be talking with Conny and her new family in the office nearby. Emma opened the truck to just leave the bunny so Conny would eventually find it when they got back. As she opened the back of the truck, neither happiness nor joy was seen in her eyes. It was terror, pure trauma as she sees Conny’s lifeless cold body leaning towards her.
As Emma and Norman couldn’t understand what was happening, the people…No, the monsters that were talking to Isabella went out of the office. Emma and Norman hide their presence as much as possible. They overheard the conversation and that’s where they realized. Gracefield House isn’t an orphanage, it’s a “FARM”…and they were the “FOOD”.
