PLOT
We’re going to talk about its plot as well! If you’re new here and have never watched Parasyte: The Maxim, I’ll let you know about its summary! Sounds cool? Let’s go! The genres of this anime includes: body horror, sci-fi, and thriller. You might never know from where a parasyte pops-up. Let’s talk about the original plot now.
The plot revolves around a teenage boy named Shinichi Izumi who lives in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood named Fukuyama, Hiroshima with his parents. One day, worm-like creatures arrive on earth, and they take over the heads of their hosts by entering their brains through their noses and ears. Similarly, our MC, Shinichi, had to go through the same thing, but he stopped the parasyte from entering through his nose. However, the parasyte goes into his arm. Sounds a bit terrifying, right?
Since Shinichi was able to stop this parasyte from taking over his brain, both of them now have their own personalities and intellect. They become a duo and encounter different parasites; that’s how their bond strengthens. This duo works together for mankind and competes against other parasites.
This series is all about the relationship between mankind and parasites. So, the story tends to get both terrifying and thrilling at times. If you’re into such genres, trust me, Parasyte: The Maxim will never disappoint you! There are a total of 25 episodes. So, it’s worth the binge-watch.
As the story proceeds, the parasite is given a name, “Migi”. Now, Shinichi calls the parasyte Migi, and when he gets back to school, his friend reports to him that these creatures are being reported in different locations around the school.
Does that mean Shinichi’s school is on the verge of danger from the parasite attack? Little did they know, Shinichi had a parasite inside him. Anyways, as Shinichi finishes up his class, he encounters Mr. B who invites Migi to join him, but he declines and ends up killing Mr. B. Therefore, he remains with Shinichi. Aye, I can already see their strong bond.
Moving on, Shinichi and Satomi had plans for a date. So, when they were on their date, they saw a cat being bullied. So, Shinichi steps up for the cat and saves it from getting hurt. Satomi, on the other hand, is surprised by such a huge change in Shinichi’s personality.
The next day, at school, Shinichi becomes aware of the fact that his math sensei is a parasite. Ryoko and Shinichi meet, and Ryoko says that she doesn’t wanna battle Shinichi, and Mr. A (the parasite of Ryoko) declares that she’s pregnant and how parasites are able to control the reproducing cycles of humans.
Migi, on the other hand, says that it’s important for them to fight Mr. A. What might happen next? Is there going to be a battle between the teacher and the student? To find out, watch Parasyte: The Maxim!

MAIN CHARACTERS
Shinichi Izumi
Shinichi Izumi is the main protagonist of the Parasyte: The Maxim. He’s a kind individual who is considerate towards others. He’s known to be a pushover, but overall, his personality is really nice. We all need a good friend like Shinichi Izumi who’d go out of his way to help his friends.
He considers human life precious and that’s why he protects everyone around him. Shinichi Izumi, gets a really nice character development and it’s just worth-watching! So, if you wanna see our boy change, you’d better watch this anime!
Satomi Murano
Satomi is the love interest of our main character. She’s very friendly and her tender personality makes you feel safe around her. Therefore, we all need a friend like Satomi Murano. She tends to get worried about things easily, especially when it comes to her man, Shinichi. These l traits make her stand out from other characters and make her the cutest girl too.
Migi
Migi is the parasite living inside Shinichi Izumi. I’m not sure if we’re supposed to say that this parasite is living within him or on him. What do you guys think? Can you clear up my confusion? Anyways, Migi was supposed to enter inside Shinichi’s brain but he was stopped.
Therefore, he started living in his arms. Migi became loyal to his host and protected him from other parasites as well. So, these traits of Migi make him one of the best parasites ever, Isn’t that right? He lacks human emotions but still protects Shinichi at all costs.
CONCLUSION
