What is Negima?! about?
Negima?! Is a remake and alternate retelling of the original Negima! Magister Negi Magi. It centers on Wizard Negi Springfield, a wizard-in-training. In order to be called a full-fledged wizard, he only needs to pass one more test, to be an English teacher in Mahora Academy Middle School for girls in Japan! Not the usual test but okay.
On his first day, he embarasses Asuna Kagurazak and even replaced her favorite teacher! This made Negi be hated by this student. However, there are certain circumstances that force them to work together.
To further supplement the tale of Negima there are OVAs and an OAD directly adapted from the manga. .

Main Characters
Negi Springfield
The titular character, Negi is a ten-year old wizard aspirant. He is Class 3-A’s homeroom and English teacher. He is kind-hearted and mature considering age, however this is also a factor to his naivete. He seems unaware of the feelings the people around him have. This brings him a disadvantage as his perspectives and solutions may seem too unrealistic. There can also be times when he can be gullible due to this..
Despite being assigned to be the English teacher of Class 3-A, he still goes out and beyond for his students as a sign of how much he cares for them. Overall, his cuteness, kindness, naiveness, and care earns him the respect of his students.
Asuna Kagurazaka
The second main character. She is the first student to know Negi’s secret and used it as a blackmail! Though they started with a rocky relationship, Asuna poses a big sister role to Negi- being protective and selfless when it comes to him.
She is the Baka Red of the Baka Rangers! Even if she might seem dumb, it is because of the mind-erase spell casted on her when she was young.
Evangeline A.K. McDowell
She might have started as antagonistic towards Negi but she soons warmed up to him and became his guide. Her hatred with Negi roots from the curse his father did to her, binding her to the school due to a curse, and promising to be freed by her graduation. But Negi’s father was a no show and is trapped in the school. With Negi’s arrival, she seeks his blood in order to be freed. Soon, they both look for Negi’s father. .
Evangeline is a 600 years old vampire but is physically a 10-year old. She can be a cruel and cold-hearted vampire but she can be soft and sensitive, as well.
Fate Averruncus
Even if he looks like a normal human, he is a homunculi, a mere doll as he puts it. But he is no ordinary homunculi, he is a mercenary set off to kill Negi!
He might look calm and collected from the outside, but actually he is emotionless and cold. He prefers to see things logically, making it difficult for him to understand why people chase their dreams.
He sees himself, as well as magical creatures as simply a “tool” and those who are useless or a hindrance need to get ridden off.
